Everyone is really friendly, the staff are nice and the new landlord makes sure everything is running smoothly. Fridays are Kareoke and Saturday can have a DJ on, it's always a fun night!

Great Holt pub serving Holt bitter via handpumps. Traditional two roomed large modern estate type pub. Shows live TV sports.

Not been in for years but the new landlady has completely turned it around, it's well run, clean, the pints are better than ever and there's actually entertainment on. If you've not been in definitely try it.

It's a shame, only 6 of us in this really big pub. The beer was on form though. I believe there is a new landlord coming roundabout June. That might make it a lot better because the one now is useless.

It's a shame. Great pub, but looking tired now. Could do with an update, come on Holt's get your finger out.

Gave the Dukes Gate 4 stars for these reasons... plenty of parking spaces, Joseph Holts beers, lovely and clean (especially the ladies, really important). Food isn't served here, and children aren't allowed. A large lounge area plus a vault with television, pool table and a covered, seated smoking area just outside of the vault. So if you want to enjoy a drink in a pleasant atmosphere give the Dukes Gate a try. Oh, and the bar staff are friendly and good at what they do.

Beer garden has alot of birds I've never seen before as there are bird feeders. One of the nicest locals I've ever been to in Farnworth :)

It is i great night and great place to go love you all Great place to have a pint in the bar or the lounge or vault or in the smoking area and a great night out on the weekend people are great and always great selection of holes beer and great selection of spirit s and love the place
