To be honest, not the sort of place I would usually frequent but we went here for work Christmas drinks. Small bar which feels cramped once a few people are inside; the layout also makes it tricky to get to the bar itself as you are constantly having to push past people who are without tables. Drinks are good though, wide choice of cocktails and wine, draft lagers are well kept. The music was too load for me (at 5pm) but I'm probably not the target audience. Reasonable pricing for central Manchester.

Been there a few times now and it is always a lovely experience. The staff are happy to be there and always try to do their best to bring excellent customer satisfaction. I have already brought some friends there and they also loved it. If you want a tasty cocktail : this place is spot on!

Wonderful cocktails and service, professionally made and fair prices. It had a nice, relaxed setting with great music, I’ll definitely be back. The only negative thing I can say is there lack of mocktails for a cocktail house. There’s only 3 options of mocktails my sister had to choose from and she for allergies couldn’t get two of the drinks (but this probably could have been acomedated on request we didn’t ask). With what seems to be over 20 choices of cocktails it just seems like the mocktails list could be expanded on.

Since the change of ownership and name this place is not half as good as it used to be. This was never a place for rowdy drunken groups but it seems to have gone downhill in spectacular fashion. It's only saving grace is the cocktail menu, which is the only remnant of what this bar used to be. This was my go to place in Manchester for cocktails. Sadly it's not the case any more. I would choose Opium at Great Northern over this place any day of the week.

Beautiful place to relax and enjoy a cocktail or bottle of Champagne. Just a shame the weather wasn’t better so we could have enjoyed the outside terrace ! I’ll definitely be back!

Despite its small size, vesper creates a big atmosphere. The attentive staff bring A1 service. The interior is minimalist and clean without feeling clinical and the outside area has heat lamps and an awning to do away with the typical Manchester weather. Their old fashioned is top notch - no sugar syrup here - done the traditional way and taking time to get the balance just right. I'll definitely be returning and sampling some of the other drinks on offer, this is probably my new favourite bar this side of Manchester.

This place used to be Liquorice. Apparently, it's still the same owners but they've had a re-vamp. I quite like the new interior but not sure I prefer it to the old Liquorice. The menu is really similar with some additions it seems. The staff seem the same and just as lovely as ever.

Liquorice is a hidden cocktail bar just off King Street. I have been here a few times for pre night drinks and find the bar staff really friendly. Cocktails are really reasonable averaging around £7, taste wise competing with the likes of the more popular bars in Manchester. It's more of a relaxed hang out, and offers a heated alfresco area. Would recommend coming after dining at one of the nearby popular eateries.

I went her on a Saturday evening with my boyfriend. I really like the atmosphere and decor, it's perfect for a date night. It was busy enough, but not overcrowded. The perfect balace in my opinion. We had two cocktails each. My boyfriend had a Negroni and a Heard It On The G'Vine, I had a Caipirinha and a French Martini. I loved the Caipirinha - tangy and sweet, and the G'Vine - just divine! I did not like the Negorni, but my boyfriend loved it. I wasn't a huge fan of the French Martini either, a bit sickly I thought, but that's my personal prefence. All of the cocktails looked beautiful though, and were presented in their own unique way.

Al-Mutanabbi Street is considered the cultural market for the people of Baghdad, where the trade of books of all kinds and fields flourishes and is usually active on Fridays. Civil courts in the past, which are now called the Al-Qashla Building, which is the Al-Muwaffaq School built by Muwaffaq Al-Khadem.
