Friendly pub and staff. Cosy atmosphere. Nice location. Beer garden with plenty of outdoor seating. Dog friendly with doggy treats behind the bar. (Large car park too).

Had a lovely lunch here, many thanks to the friendly barman Rob who told me about the vegan options. I had a delicious Thai burger and seasoned chips with a pint while looking at the great view from the beer garden. Will be back!

Booked a large family get together for Easter. The roast dinner was the best roast I have ever had! From the delicious gravy to creamy mash, crispy roasts and beef that just melts in your mouth...just wow!! After a lovely meal we enjoyed a few gins from the bar loads of great flavours too. We were a large party the staff were brilliant we will certainly be back again.

The staff weren't very friendly or outgoing. One young lad had a very drab personality. It felt like he was only there because he was being forced to be there. The food took forever to come out but was of a decent enough quality. I definitely wouldn't rush back there but wouldn't refuse to go if it was the only option.

Visited this pub today for the second time in the last month or so. it has a lovely countryside feel to it with a warm log burning fire and the views are amazing. We really enjoyed the freshly prepared and professionally presented dishes! I tried the freshly made egg custard tart for dessert as I’ve never seen this on a menu before - I was not disappointed. Visited today as I’ve heard good things regarding the food and the chef Jen, was not disappointed! Had the katsu chicken bites as a starter, the Korean chicken as my main, and the egg custard for desert. All were amazing, and the egg custard was just gorgeous. Food is quite clearly freshly made, and a lot of care and attention goes into the dishes, menu, and presentation. The location is lovely, sat near the fire place and overlooking the countryside, made for a relaxing lunch time. Will definitely be visiting again.

What a lovely pub! Dropped in today half way through a long walk and we are so glad we did, the pub is very nicely decorated and has fantastic views! And thats before we even get to the food... I had a gorgeous Christmas Dinner and my partner had cheese and onion pie... We had to stay a while as we were that stuffed we didn't want to get back to our walk! The staff were so friendly including our waitress we has serving our table (sadly I didn't get her name!) But she made the whole visit lovely! Would definitely recommend, and look forward to our next visit!!

I was a little disappointed by the food choices for vegetarians, it was quite limited and lacked imagination. That said, the pub itself was really nice, great views, the staff were friendly and helpful and what I had was ok. I realise they are tied by the menu but it could have been a lot better with some simple tasty additions in my opinion.

Booked a family get together meal at the Same Yet after reading good reviews online and it certainly didn't disapoint...just wow!! The location brilliant, The service we (All 10 of us) recieved was second to none, nothing was a problem and service certainly came with a smile. The food was of great quality at a great price with a homemade touch and the chef even came over to say hello which was a great touch we all thought. Overall very welcoming pub with fantastic tasting food..would recommend

Definitely one of the better Lees's pubs overall with pleasant staff but come on Same Yet you have to do better with pouring the Guinness. By far the worst pint of Guinness I've had any where.

I was served by Kelly, she was delightful. Faith was my waitress and was very knowledgeable about the products. I ended up having a few too many sambucas and got kicked out for being wasted. From what I remember they were very polite about it!

Good food, great beer. The table service wasn't the fastest, having to wait nearly 15 minutes for drinks but all the waiting staff were really really busy. Could have done with a couple more staff but i appreciate given the pandemic people have left hospitality in droves. Overall 10/10 as the issues ive mentioned were beyond management control

Excellent meal, I had the fish and chips, which I would recommend. Had a very pleasant time. It was daytime so not too busy. Social distancing indoors is very good, hand sanitizer available, staff wear masks, other measures in place, too. Staff were very helpful and the service excellent. Not cheap, top end of pub meal prices, but all the meals were very good. Very handy for the motorway if wanting an alternative to a service station. Nice atmosphere will definitely be coming again.

Went for à birthday meal with family and had nice time. We ordered off the menu and left the carvery this time. The food was presented well and looked really tasty. I really enjoyed the scampi, chips and garden peas (I changed it from mushy peas). The staff were very busy but maintained composure and a smile. Parking is very generous and the views are superb.

Called in for Sunday lunch, lovely meal & beautifully cooked, liked idea of choice of small, medium or large sunday roast. Better than queuing up, standing ages in front hot stove area. Pudding was unexpectedly different to what we expected, but it turned out lovely, not too overfilling. (Eton mess; few slices of strawberries, mouse, sponge, broken meringue & bits of strawberry sauce) It rounded meal off nicely, not like other places were its a sugary overload of ice cream, broken meringue & overloaded with raspberry stirup; you walk out with a belly overload even when u split the pudding to share between 2. Booking a must, but worth the walk up from Rhodes & back. Staff were prompt, didn't wait too long for main, room well ventilated & staff keeping tabs on dinners keeping comfortable.

Go here a lot for Sunday carvery. Staff are always lovely and friendly. Not been for a few weeks as the roast potatoes had been poor but went recently and roast potatoes better but the new sweet potato offering was lovely. Please don't stop serving the sweet potato. .. We went to the Same Yet today for lunch, in front of the wood burner, gorgeous, really lovely landlady and a lovely, lovely ambience, we could have sat there all night. Also excellent chef there now called Jen. And boy can she do roasties (we had a Christmas dinner last Tuesday evening) and if you're into soup as we are, from scratch, she makes the most amazing tomato and roast pepper soup you will ever eat. I wanted to lick the bowl but then again!! Six stars ✨

This is worrying as it means no temperature monitoring is taking place which signifies a loss of food safety management control.

So much nicer than the pub down the road. Sells real ale with 3 choices. Good for people with kids as door opens to garden from dining area. We were going eat however when we went to order at the bar we were told they weren't taking orders for 10 mins which seems silly when it's a carvery but as we wanted other items we were told it was at least a 30 min wait for good aswell so we decided not to eat there. Drinks a bit expensive.

Me and my girlfriend went for lunch at the Same Yet on Tuesday afternoon and I must say it was a very nice afternoon. They have deals on during the week so we got 2 for 1 on any main meals and the food was piping hot, freshly prepared and served very quickly. The food was also served by a very polite and friendly landlord that couldn't do enough for you. This is the second time we've been and have enjoyed it on both occasions, and in the summer it is very nice to sit outside with the very nice view of the pennines.

The rump steak was beautiful. My 2 children who are now eating adult meals as kids meals dont fill them up really enjoyed the chicken in a basket and the homemade beef burger. The chicken was beautiful so moist and tasty (Had to taste for myself haha) my nana had the fish and chips and really enjoyed that. Service was great. The only thing is it doesn't get busy during the weekday as it's such a hidden gem so not much of an atmosphere. But service was prompt and efficient and cannot be faulted at all. Great food, pretty great service. Only down side was that the menus needed a tiny bit of a wipe down. Cleanliness elsewhere was great.

I really like this place. They have an unpaved ground to park outside. They've tables both indoors and outdoors. There is a really nice view outside. Everyone was really friendly here which definitely makes me want to visit again.
