This was a nice little speakeasy bar found down one of the side streets. Thanks to Google for showing us this little gem. Friendly staff suggesting unique cocktails. Lovely time and atmosphere.

Fantastic decor/lighting/mood. The prohibition theme is fantastic, staff are really on it and passionate always there to help you chose the right drink, and what a choice there is! If you're looking for a real chill, classy place to go this is it. Can't fault it one bit!

It's a really nice little pub with very interesting signature cocktails. This place offers variety of signature cocktails with different alcohol levels. I really like their menu, not only they write the ingredients but also informs the customer on overall taste expectation, which allows you to choose easily. The bartenders are really friendly and funny. I will definitely enjoyed this place and definitely will go the next time I'm in Manchester. There is still a big list of cocktails are waiting for me to try. Also for those of you who likes to be safe, they also make classic cocktails too. Definitely recommend this place!

Nice speakeasy in the city serving excellent cocktails. The place is next to a nightclub. Cocktails reached from mild to super boozy. Prices are also reasonable for the quality. You will need to make booking in advance and pay a deposit which can be used towards to order in the bar.

Awesome cocktails at Speak In Code, we managed to get a table at the bar to watch the cocktails being made. Very interesting flavours mixed together but the results were awesome. Pina colada with a slight kick was the pick of the bunch! Worth booking as the place fills up but definitely worth the wait!

Visited for drinks whilst in Manchester for a concert at Bridgewater Hall. A small intimate vegan cocktail bar with a fabulous selection of drinks and a small great sounding bar snack menu. Cosy and warm I could spend hours here sipping a Negroni. Highly recommended.

The owner takes a lot of pride in his bar and its so nice to see. Cocktails were unique and tasted amazing. Staff were attentive and very welcoming. To answer your reply, the only thing that really let it down for me was the WC. The lighting in the toilets was quite dim and there was a lack of paper towels. The lighting completely suited your venue so it's not even a valid complaint If I lived closer than a three hour train ride I'd pack myself a torch and a towel and visit daily.

Absolutely loved this little gem of a bar. Not booked beforehand, so turned up on a whim and was brilliantly shown to a set of 3 seats right by the bar with a very helpful bar maid to explain the 'code' of drinks. (See pic of 'menu). We stayed for quite a few drinks, as 1. Not overly priced, 2. Served brilliantly, 3. Great atmosphere 4. Tasted great. Will definitely look to return the next time we're in Manchester, obviously for the aforementioned reasons and ultimately to work our way further through the menu. See you as soon as possible guys!!! I consider myself quite the cocktail expert as frankly I don't like to drink much else when I am out. I have quickly learned that cocktails are pretty much within a standard price range where ever you go - however the quality can be vastly different. Located on a little tucked away side street of Manchester it may not look promising as you turn the corner but I can assure you it is the doorway to the Narnia. The bar itself is classically styled. The chairs are comfortable. The lighting is low. There no blaring music. It is clearly designed for those looking to catch up with old friends over the most fabulous drinks I have drunk in my WHOLE life. Track 10 is my personal favourite and I thought about it all day prior to my last visit. The staff are friendly without being intrusive. There is no awkward / long wait at the bar to order. They attentively keep an eye on the customers and almost magically appear just as you are ready to order the first or next drink. They are very knowledgeable and clearly love what they are selling. The menu is held in this adorable LP style cover and each drink has something about it that makes you spend an eternity thinking ... but what do I want first/next? I had the bad luck of being left for half an hour alone at a table as I waited for my friend to arrive. This can be uncomfortable in a lot of bars ... but not here. I was quickly provided a drink and felt relaxed, peaceful ... almost at home. Before I knew it 30 mins had gone by and my friend had arrived. I would recommend this place to anyone. Although selfishly I hope it doesn't become SO popular that I am unable to get a table. Lol. For me this is now my number one and first choice for cocktails.

Lovely relaxed venue with table service and really unique cocktails. A bit similar to Wood&Co but the drinks are a lot more avant garde. Some of the cocktails are quite challenging with complex and unusual flavours, but that was part of the fun. It beats just having the same 10 overly-sweet cocktails that every other place does and I appreciate these guys for taking a risk. Overall, a great place to spend an evening and I'll be going back again no doubt.

When you eventually find this place the atmosphere is great. Went in on Saturday night and the vibe was bouncing. What a hidden gem..! The cocktail menu (track list) is innovative and daring, but plays off fantastically, and the speakeasy vibe is perfect. Situated in an unsuspecting location with very subtle signage makes this bar an even more exciting venue. The barman who served us was attentive and very well informed, personable and delightful. Well worth a trip to see. The music played is a real treat too. Take time to appreciate the details in the menu, the record sleeve and it's contents. Always read the small print. ✌🏻

Disappointing considering our substantial spend and other empty tables where we could have been seated. I love this place. As soon as we arrived we were given a table and information on how the place works. The staff are so knowledgeable, the nibbles where out of this world, the cocktails were the best I've ever had and the service was on point. I'll be going again and again. Recommend to vegan and plant based people and just anyone who wants a unique experience. The cauliflower wings where my fav. I had the Violet gin cocktail, I loved it and I hate floral drinks!

Liked the cocktails without loving them, many pro’s including the service, vibe and intent (which I really respect). I also really appreciated the menu complexity but simplicity at the same time. Inventive flavours but broken down into 3 key flavour/type profiles to narrow down your choice. £12 a cocktail in Manchester does seem high and unsure the cocktails we had met up to the adventurousness of the menu albeit all were still ‘good’. The best we had being a chili take on the pina colada. The complexity and uniqueness of the 4 we had was only just not up to what we’ve experienced elsewhere. I would a rate a 4.5 if I could - I would try again for sure. Good luck Response to owner: Thank you and appreciate your response - you are right, I may have been harsh implying the drinks were unfairly priced. I would much rather pay £12 for a drink knowing the bitters, syrups etc have been made in house versus what you’ll find at the bar down the road. My partner and I have been really fortunate to drink at some incredible spots both in aus and Europe in recent times and our standards are really high as such. The drinks were good and I would return, but they didn’t wow us like we have been before. Whilst everything you listed sounds super adventurous and complex, I don’t think they tasted along the same context - nice yes, but multi layered etc. unsure. I hope that clarifies our review and honestly I do appreciate the intent, service and concepts. If we are back in Manchester we shall have it on our list to return :)
