Reviews of The Eagle Bar

Thus venue is a Jewel in Manchester Gay villages crown, there is always something going on.
The door staff are very friendly and always have a laugh and socialise with the customers, which makes you feel very at home in the venue and you can always guarantee that any trouble is stamped out straight away. Everytime I come here there I have not seen any trouble and the atmosphere in the venue is very positive.

Great place, a bit away from Gay Village. Security is fine and behaving normally. Bar service very nice. I will definitely come back here for good drinks. All good :)

Love the place the vibe the music Men only safe place of the Tom of Finland variety.

We’re grateful for discovering The Eagle and its Sunday Service during Corona times.
A couple of hours of filthy drag and drinking has quickly become our highlight of the week!
It’s probably a little different to how it’s usually hosted, and we’ve only been three times, but we’re looking forward to returning as soon as restrictions are lifted again.

I’m told to leave the venue if I’m not buying a drink despite me telling the guy that I’m waiting for my friends. I walked out. FYI - the venue was dull at 1:00 am on a Friday night.
**Edit: I've raised two stars because my friend took me there again and I loved the drag show.

It's a nice space with some great events and performances. The bar staff always friendly in my opinion. My only gripe is card payments. 50p in addition to ANY transaction amount. Perhaps management didn't get the memo about the decline of cash or the speed of contactless, but then I guess so many 50ps adds up at the end of the night...
Anyway, the principle of being taxed at every trip leaves me with a bitter taste when I enter Eagle Bar. Sort it out guys!

This is a very dark basement bar. They sell the usual drinks, nothing special. There are lots of secluded seating areas. The music is very loud and they have porn posting on TV screens. The bar staff aren't very friendly.

Came in on Saturday night, although not an overly busy night in the village in general, the dj Rick Parker was playing some great dance tunes and the bar staff were friendly overall I had a very good night

Amazing club, super friendly staff and very fair prices.
Can't wait for my next night out here!
Anyone that is socially inept enough to brand an entire venue of people as 'provincial and stunted' should probably look up the term 'Irony' and 'numpty'.

Decent bar for a night out. Gets really busy but is pretty big inside with few different rooms to go to. Good music and good atmosphere!

The Eagle is a bit of an institution in the village by catering for the men-only sleazier side to the scene which Company bar wasnt quite big enough to handle on its own. Having said that, for a cruisy bar it isnt all that sleazy unless you go in the Dark Eagle bar through the back which is only open at weekends usually. The music is loud and dance-oriented and there are a lot of bottled beers etc. The house ale is Eagle lager or bitter which isnt the nicest beer ive ever tasted but its cheap. If you like your men butch and hairy then head to the Eagle!

Good bar but can be a bit quiet in the week. However, when it's quiet it is much more cruzy
