Reviews of The Fletchers Arms

Beautiful pub on the outside and inside (though was a sweltering hot day and inside was boiling, opted to sit outside the front which was lovely). The staff were all smiley and friendly, both behind the bar and at the carvery. Food was divine. Definitely a higher priced pub than your average but well worth it - the portion size, quality and variety of meats, veg and condiments makes it well worthwhile. Absolutely delicious. My friend was also thrilled to find options for gluten free gravy at the carvery so no bad reactions to the food which is a huge plus. My fiance ordered the beef burger which he also said was great. I just didn't get a snap of the other two plates (sorry!)

Nice carvery here! giant Yorkshire - check... Pig in blanket??? More like pig in a duvet!!! 😋The only issues were the Mac n cheese was a little too garlicky for my daughter but we loved it! Also no greens on the carvery selection and the utensils were mad hot! Nothing that would stop us coming again though. Would recommend.

I love this place, it's near my partners house so we go here often. We've eaten here several times, the food is superb and we drink here often, the staff are just lovely, not met a bad member of staff yet, polite, helpful and nothing is too much. Tonight I was struggling to clean my glasses and one of the waiting staff came over and said I've bought you a present...handed me some glass wipes...would highly recommend this place one hundred percent ❤

The food is fantastic especially there carvery. The staff are brilliant , they make you feel very welcome when you first walk all the way through until you leave and the table service is very good. Drinks menu is also great there is a lot of choices.

Always LOVE to eat there. Beautiful pub and lovely staff. The carvery is amazing, with canelloni or lasagna offered with the veggie option so you don't miss out on the fun if you don't want to eat meat. AMAZING in every way.

Food and service has always been excellent!!! However, the man who was on the carvery today, was very rude, "WHAT" not pardon or excuse me! My missus asked what was in one of the veg trays...he said "what does it look like...it's cabbage" he either thought he was being comical,or has an attitude problem!!! It's put us off going in again,he needs to be educated about customer relations and his manners...VERY disappointed (after spending about£75)

Been meeting up with a couple of friends and ex colleagues every month bar lockdown for 13 years when we got made redundant by the RAC. Staff are lovely and the carvery offers a good choice. Other options are available on the menu, including brilliant pizzas. The place is very popular and there is a good atmosphere

Been here loads of times , great atmosphere and foods great (Except the carvery)
We have moved to the area now and I'd regard this place as our local although we do eat out about 5 nights a week 😀 but at various establishments.
The reason the carvery is not so good now is that most veg is chewy which smacks of frozen veg and the roast potatoes are not roast potatoes at all. Look like they have been done the easy way .....Fried ! They are normally anaemic looking too.
This is a shame because we used to travel here from Hollingworth as the carvery was excellent, my daughter has stopped going there now too as its not the same. She and her family travelled too.
I used to highly recommend to everyone the carvery with its choice of meats but the veg has become a damp squib , I'm sure they will say its because they are very busy ....but they can't as they have always been busy.
I ran 2 pubs and one was as busy and our Sunday dinner was All fresh. We had roast spuds piled in the ovens and people loved them. It's not hard, so can we get back to how it used to be please. I'm sure other people are saying the same thing.
I'm not putting this revue on to moan , just to get the good food back on ...the rest of the pub is great 👍
