Fantastic pub. Extremely clean, brilliant atmosphere. The landlady is brilliant too, runs a really good pub/restraunt. All the staff are friendly too. A very warm welcome, and even though the pub had a lot of people there, no big queue to get served. We hadn't booked a table, just turned up. We were shown to a table immediately, very clean too. Ross served us during the evening. Always on hand, we didn't have to wait for anything, Ross even suggested things on the menu. We had a brilliant night.

Great little pub, was there yesterday. Lovely friendly environment. One rude older goat of a women was outside snarling at innocent children for nothing more than talking but other than that a great day out.

This place is my regular yet not my local. I go to lots of pubs. This one is my current favourite. Great staff. Great food. Friendly locals. Also the Lani' fold holds lots of events. Great place to eat or be merry.

The pub is a lees brewery (dark smooth recommended) really nice pub plenty of room tables etc 😀 Even do darts and card games (crib etc ) on a Friday, Also the local official Manchester City supporters club 💙, so if your new in the area go along and feel welcome

I have found the local establishment to usually to be an enjoyable location to relax. Management 100% Staff =<100 % Only issue to date is a team that work together that make you feel unwelcome. I'll check to see who is serving in future.

Visited 10/08/2020 for my mother in laws birthday. C-word measures in place are excellent and explained well, making them easy to follow without being overbearing. Suprised us all at the end of our meal with a lovely desert complete with candles! Little touches like this & excellent friendly service go a long way! Also lovely and clean. Good community pub. Spacious and airy feel. Excellent food served here. Manager is on her game and has a nothing too much trouble attitude. Good for watching sport if that's your thing. There are a few different levels in the floor but overall its pretty accessible for everyone.

Decent boozer. Very busy at times. Beer is mostly spot on. Even for Lees beers. The Staff are friendly and pretty fast service, which is good as it gets very busy at times. Food looks very good. The menu seem to cover s good range too. I've Heard people say it's decent pub grub. Will get round to trying the food at some point.

Really noice place to eat, really good food, cheese and onion pie is well worth a try. Also they have a vault where you can get drinks, play pool or darts. They show football here. They've also a decent function room as well which serves well for a range of events.

Had a great meal here. I had the ribs and my partner had the steak and we will both definitely be returning. The peppercorn sauce to go with the steak was the best we have ever tasted and my partner eats steak all the time with peppercorn sauce so that is saying something!

The flagship pub of the JW Lees brewery. Food good. Due to lack of decent competition this pub makes a massive profit regardless of who manages it. Good for sports TV coverage. Would be better if they had guest beers/ales from other breweries ( e.g. Tribute or Theakstons, Doombar etc) but Lees are convinced their own beers are all they need. They do have a beer pump with the San Miguel logo, but it bears no relation to the taste of San Miguel you would taste in Spain or even in a bottle purchased in Asda. Mostly local attendance from the Alkrington housing estate. Seems to be regularly decorated/ facelifted. The brewery do keep on top of the maintenance of their No.1 cash cow. The fashion for craft beers has passed them by. If only the beers could be improved it would be perfect.- update- on a recent visit they had a limited edition Real ale which was quite good. A step in the right direction. Well done JW Lees- credit where its due! Unfortunately it was of JW Lees creation rather than a decent beer from an external brewery ( e.g. Doombar etc). Microbreweries are popping up all over the UK producing excellent ales. Time to diversify. Sometimes when there are Christening parties or other family events, you have to endure out of control kids running around the whole pub! If we must have kids in a pub then confine them to the function room only. I am not interested in tolerating other people's brats. Prefer if pub went back to the " over 18's" rule of yesteryear!!!!

Used this pub since 1985. Always deliverd. At least there's an alternative to Lees lager there now. Nice recent facelift to the external areas. Money well spent as long as the weathers good.
