What a great little bijou bar in the middle of the science park! Characterful and comfy. Nice selection of beers and drinks, good food served, decent coffee machine etc. well worth nipping in.

The outdoor part is lovely! Such a good venue with an awesome atmosphere - saw an event by stepladder records there and had amazing fun. Bar staff are super friendly and helpful and there’s a good range of drinks - some stuff on taps a bit pricey though.

Vinyl Tap every Tuesday, various DJs, some famous, some not-famous-yet, great food and amazing vibes, friendliest staff and lovely happy people. Extra points for the profi coffee machine and the Vegan Burger. Will definitely be coming back xx

We've lived five minutes away from this place for seven years (and been at uni around the corner for three years before that) but have somehow never heard of this place. The only reason we came across it is through a Facebook post about their e-bike sadly being stolen, which they were using for deliveries and community support work. As the owner of a socially conscious cargo bike-powered business myself, my interest was immediately piqued! Then I investigated further and found that this place does fantastic burgers and pizzas, with the best selection of beer you'll find for miles around. They had opened the beer garden following the easing of covid restrictions, but were also doing deliveries and pick-up. My wife and I ordered a cheeseburger, pollo e pepe pizza and portion of chips to share, as well as a two-pint jug of fresh draught IPA. The food and beer was excellent, but what really impressed me was the friendly vibe of this place, that somehow has been hiding in plain sight since we came to Manchester.

Great place. My favourite pub in the whole of Manchester!! Independent, does so much for the local community! Live djs, bass, jazz, poetry, quiz nights, amazing outdoor space, great ales, fabulous pizzas and brilliant people.

Seems like a decent place. But if u have mobility problems like I do. Not for u. Steps at entrance very difficult to use. Beer garden is old style Victorian cobblestones. Not much space for movement with my wheeled walking aid.

Draft beer wasn't good. Nearly flat. When I went back I ask for a different pint and said the last one was nearly flat. Got told if that was flat your next pint will be they all run on the same gas. Very poor service, they haven't a clue about beer or how to speak to a customer. Been loads of times with friends and it's hit and miss what you get with service/drinks/food. I've had far better pints a lot cheaper. Your unhelpful staff just lost business from me and my friends.

Certainly quirky with a lively outside area BUT unfortunately the service was poor, cold burger too which we waited 45 minutes for. Like a lot of places now, very expensive and it's in the middle of a trading estate, well I think it might be a science park. My beer was good though.

This place is amazing. One of the best pubs in Manchester for banging food at reasonable prices, great pints, exciting events and an unmatched sense of community. This is not your typical pub. People carry out wonderful projects to work with and benefit the local communities. It feels good to be there no matter who you're with.

Wonderful pub with a very happy and relaxed vibe. The food is of great quality and doesn't forget about the vegetarians with their good veggie/vegan options! The friendly staff are the cherry on top to a pleasant visit, whether for food or drinks.

It's been a form favourite of mine for some time, so when we saw that things were opening up post lockdown we wanted to get over there and show our support. Still had the same friendly vibe and they've really adapted well to social distancing. Also very happy to try some of the extended food menu which was lovely. If you want a good time away from the hustle and bustle of town, but close enough to saunter over there, this is always a good shout.

I visited this pub for the very first time this evening with an old friend. This was the second time that I have socialised with anyone in over six months, mainly because of the lockdown and also because I have been identified as 'extremely vulnerable' because of my underlying health issues, and a bit scared to go out. I was a bit nervous about coming out but felt really safe in the space and I really loved the whole community feel of the place. A special thank you to all the staff who were really warm, friendly and helpful.

An excellent place for weird gigs and decent counter-culture vibes. It's a bit cramped, either too hot or too cold and the beers are an acquired taste but I always have a great time. If you want a quirky venue a bit away from the mainstream then definitely give it a go

Great little pub, I've been there for new years the last two years. The owners/staff are lovely and the venue has developed well. There's usually food available, there's an outside area which has had a stage and heaters in it when I've been. Always had a friendly bustling vibe when I've been.

I just experienced and took part in one of the best jams of my life, with some tight musicians and the most friendly and awesome people, staff and management you could ever imagine. The brownies and cakes are ridiculously good, the pizzas have a reputation that proceeds them and it all makes my mouth water. I can't even express with words alone how good this place is for meetings, socialising, events, food, music and more. All the good things!

Yes it's just great. I went at night and THEY PROVIDED ME WITH VEGAN JAFFA CAKE CHOCOLATE ORANGE ICE CREAM. Just phenomenal service. I went for my birthday too, pub dub, that was ace. Both wonderful experiences. Happy days.

So disappointed by this place. It's got such potential, the outside area is one of the best around, very good atmosphere. I'd love to go and watch live music here. Unfortunately, all of their ales were off so hophouse was the only thing on the cards. At a meer £5 a pint (twice the price of the same pint in wether spoons) it became clear to me why such a cool pub was almost completely empty.

Really cosy, friendly place with eclectic activities always on, from Russian folk band practice to psycho dub stand up comedy, open music. Pizzas have consistently improved and are now really really good! And of course, ales are top on tap!

Beer is always about a fiver but the atmosphere is friendly and cosy. They have wingback chairs, a piano, homemade pizzas, big DIY smoking area. I'm a fan of the art on the walls too, just what you want in a pub!
