Reviews of Wetherspoons Piccadilly
T. Y.
Consistent Great Food at an affordable price, nice place to enjoy an afternoon
M. P.
Went in for breakfast, its a wetherspoons. Fast service and reliable and good prices, easy to order on the app! Overall good experience.
L. C.
Visited here for breakfast when I was staying in the city centre. The place is a little tired and worn out. Carpets were sticky and it was generally unwelcoming. That aside, the food was tasty and was delivered to our table quickly. Coffee was good quality too.
S.
Breakfast was tasty and free refill coffee saves some money if you drink a lot
O. J. B.
Lovely English hangout!!!
JD Weatherspoons are a well know Franchise all over the UK that provide great restaurant vibe. This particular outlet is a Lovely place to get fast food in the Manchester City Centre. It maintains the same quality as other Franchises all over the country.
I especially enjoyed the fish and chips which is a Legendary traditional English dinner/meal.
I had a lovely time hanging out with friend here the last time I visited Manchester. I hope to be here when next I'm in Manchester.
S. “. S. G.
Really good small fish and chips - quite delicious and freshly cooked. Good service too. But the place itself was heaving and chaotic with too many drunks even at only 17:00 hrs
A.
Popped in for a drink, service behind the bar was quick and the bartender attentive, before we were served, a previous customer had paid for there drinks and left the bar area without taking there change, the bartender went out of his way to find the customer and return it !!! A credit to him as it was a significant amount and the customer was elderly,,
T.
I wouldn't normally come into this whetherspoons as it's a bit rough. However staff were fine, no problems. It's very dark abd a bit on top of you but in fairness it was clean and no antisocial behaviour but you felt as if it could kick off any second with customers coming in looking like they were on a mission and had something to prove. I wouldn't go here again but not as bad as I previously thought and worth having a pint to see if it's your bag or not.
M. K.
Spoons is Spoons innit, property rammed at 10am on a Friday morning but the young lad on the bar was very good. Happy go lucky you might say. The stars are for him.
A. V.
Pretty self sufficient. Order online, pay online and they will deliver. Nachos were good, except the sauces made the crisps soggy after awhile
S. H.
Good food at decent price with quick service. Only complaint is the air conditioning being freezing cold ❄️
s. o. l.
Amazing place for a drink and some grub
C. T.
Does anyone think it’s acceptable to get fingered in this weatherspoons!! Absolutely vile people!!! 2 people when me and my partner were having lunch and drinks getting her tuna purse fingered. I alerted the bar staff and they told them to leave. Vile!!! What is wrong with people I just want to say thanks so much to the staff for handling this so so well what an awful thing for someone to even do for a job. 5* customer services!!!
T. A.
Inexpensive beer and food, just like all the others I have visited. It was perfect for a pint and a curry whilst waiting for my next train.
G. M.
Always very busy here. We found seats staff were lovely even though they were very busy. Would go again
P. S.
Noisy as h***. Not a great place if you don't like to be around a big crowed bar. The beer is ok, the food is good.
M. R.
always well visited, but every time we were able to find a table. good beer as usual!
F. P.
Nicely cooked steak and good prompt service even though the it was packed big time will certain visit again next time in Manchester
p. b.
Doing a good job of keeping customers safe and satisfied. Another hard working team at this popular restaurant and hotel brand. Great fish and chips today July 10th with a huge portion of cod!
On the flip side, the carpet is looking rather worn out.
L. .. M.
love it here friend staff , very well priced good food toilets clean nice chilled atmosphere
S. T.
Went in for a breakfast, which was really nice. Food was hot. The booths to sit in are a bit cramped, but other than that everything was good. Looks like it will get busier as the day goes on because of its location
r. g.
Great Whetherspoons!! Cool for the beginning of a night out and meeting new people. People hang out at the bar or at their table, but if you're a social guy very nice to start the night out. Ofc cheap and chill food- beers are good
S. R.
Went for something to eat with my boy, the food was as expected from a wetherspoons, reasonabley tasty and fairly priced. No need to worry about social distance as socially distance screens throughout. The place was clean and tidy and the staff very friendly. We used table service and that was faultless.
S. W.
The food was great, and came very quickly, really good price too
D. M.
Called in a few busy Saturdays on the run. Such a popular place . Staff so friendly and efficient even during 'hectic' times. Food never disappoints. Deserves a 5 star raring.
A. M.
Pretty much what you expect from Wetherspoons. The atmosphere was great despite being busy, we were able to order from our table and the food was served fast and efficiently. Made use of the steak Tuesday and it did not disappoint, would call again - value for money
K. W.
You'll be lucky to find and empty table on arrival, otherwise you stand around and wait for one to become available. Food is decent and price is good. Staff are friendly.
N. P.
Food was nice, young staff was friendly and was rushing about all over. The manager on the other hand practically threw our food at us. He was berating a member of staff then started slagging him off to another member of staff. Not very professional infront of customers
r. a.
Good experience even on a busy day. (Man utd playing in the champions League) food didn't take too long to come out and was good.
R. G.
Was recommended to try this place for the value of the food - couldnt agree more! A variety of options for reasonable prices and serving sizes that are not too overwhelming. Their hot chocolate is tasty, not overly sweet. Comforting in winter.
K. M.
Ordering via App is super easy and convenient. Order times were super fast and paying via PayPal right after order is a bliss.
Had a small issue with my first order and it got resolved as soon as I could talk to an employee.
Food was tasty and there is a lot of variety for them and for drinks as well.
The only thing I'd liked to have in the app was a "Call Personal to your table" option to get my issued solved quicker than until I ordered my second drink.
J. W.
Very busy but didn't have to wait long for food. Staff constantly clearing the tables & cleaning them as soon as they became vacant. Food good & well priced.
L. A.
Fab value for money on breakfasts, like the free drink refill policy.. lost a star for ambience! Bit dark and dreary inside
m. p.
Traditional breakfast I thaught you got tost with it you don't.
Asked to change sausage for bacon 'no swaps" other spoons have swapped for me.
Cold beans
M.
Cheap drinks , lovely staff , Alice.F was so polite and funny , made the whole night , food was very good , very crowded n busy but thats a sign of a good pub
v. l.
My goodness go to this place if you are after non prescription commodities.
For a wetherspoons it's not terribly well organised but the demographics of its clientele probably dictate this.
A. R.
Quiet and clean. Fast service
P. S.
Noisy as h***. Not a great place if you don't like to be around a big crowed bar. The beer is ok, the food is good.
M. M.
Only able to use app to order and no choice to remove items. Staff were nice but no personal feeling.
A. M.
Pretty much what you expect from Wetherspoons. The atmosphere was great despite being busy, we were able to order from our table and the food was served fast and efficiently. Made use of the steak Tuesday and it did not disappoint, would call again - value for money

P. G.
You get what you expect. Loud, busy, a bit untidy, tables not cleared, certainly not between customers but I'm not sure folk care. It's cheap, and that's what pull people in. If you know what to expect, you won't be disappointed.
C. W.
Called in for breakfast 😁
The food was delicious, the place was really busy, but the staff were on the ball, fast service with drinks and food.
J. Y.
Typical city spoons. Bit tired, but no proplems with food, beer or service. Good price for city centre.
J. H.
Great food! A little packed at popular times though.
T. G.
Excellent value breakfasts with timely service
L. A.
Called in for breakfast. Was quite busy but some tables even tho cleared had not been wiped down. We had to ask for cloth to clean the table, explained why & presumed due to covid that someone would come to spray & clean the table. Unfortunately not, we were given a handful of blue kitchen roll/paper towels. Also at that particular branch tea & coffee aren't included in the breakfast offers, even tho 2 days before we ate breakfast in the branch in The Printworks and drinks were included.
J. D.
Lovely food, not too dear,a bit busy though.
s. l.
Yeh lovely drinks came very quick and the food did after using the app
C. H.
Lovely traditionally breakfast and all you can drink tea and coffee.
Plenty of staff clearing tables.
b. c.
Visited early evening, not to busy served quickly, staff friendly and helpful with drinks choice, later orders food from their extensive menu, the burger was really tasty (The Ultimate) served with Onion Rings and Chips the meal came with a alcoholic drink or soft drink which made the meal a good deal. The service was very good.
B.
Fairly decent place. The breakfasts were very good.
J. “. S.
Great 👍 food and service 👌...a little more lighting would 👌 be good in the rear..
A. G.
This pub is a pretty decent place to to for a decent pint.its in a good location in Piccadilly gardens very close to the bus station and metrolink stop.the beer is good and cheep.the food is cheep, but I haven't tried it here.if the food is like the other weatherspoons that I've tried it should be good the only downside with this one is that it can get very busy all day making it very noisy.
M. O.
Excellent, had a good selection of guests beers, and good food 👍
A. B.
You can never go wrong with a Wetherspoons. It’s just like every other, very safe and a great place to be. If I don’t feel like going somewhere new- spoons it is. Fast service as always, no complaints.
I. M.
Its a Wetherspoons, reasonably priced, we got a seat, it was busy!
M. S.
Great staff. Impressed that tables were cleared and cleaned quicker than most.
T. L.
Went for breakfast on a couple of mornings during a weekend stay in Manchester. It was really busy and had filled up pretty much by 10 but if you do get a table it's pretty much standard Spoons...food comes quickly and decent quality for the price. Staff were working really hard clearing tables and keeping the coffee machine going so all in all a good choice for a decent breakfast to start a day's Christmas shopping 🙂
T. F.
very busy pub -staff are hardworking and friendly -the best fish and chips (and mushy peas) in Manchester
A. H.
I was surprised at the £1 tip the lady behind the bar took, when I said and your own when I was served.
L. G.
Great food and service even even busy
M. Š.
Huge menu with a lot of afforable and interesting choices. Atmosphere feels authentic and welcoming. Even though its a self-service staff were friendly and helpful. Food was tasty but the size of the portions could be a bit bigger (don't order a classic burger if you are really hungry). There was no music playing so we unfortunately left after eating.
B.
Nice vegan food, good value. Bit dim and dated, but nice enough.
A. C.
The place was absolutely rammed as expected on a Saturday morning but we all still got served perfect piping hot breakfasts, I only order 3 rashers of bacon and I got 5 so bonus points there ☺️
K. H.
Lovely atmosphere and table service
L. M.
Went in for breakfast service was fast and friendly young lady on the bar was nice and chatty the food was nice and it was good value for money
R. A.
Good place to have a beer or two
M. T.
What is not to like? Accesible prices, good environment, a Pub that's everywhere you go in England, great food choices, wether you look after your shape or not, you don't need to wait to be served because you pay direct at the till. They'll bring your food afterwards.
L. P.
Never fails. Always come here when on a visit to manchester. Cheap and cheerful. Lots of seating. Wheelchair friendly. Quick and polite table service
J. H.
Great place for meeting up good pub food & choice of drinks helpful staff lots of room & good distanceing wheelchair friendly nice toilets.
R. C.
Clean. Friendly helpful staff. Food and drink at low prices. Fast service.
D. J.
Good place for meal on the cheap in manchester put their beer up not normal weather spoons price still cheaper than pubs around
S. L.
Great place staff nice and friendly loads of different beers to choose from and good for food can be busy but worth a visit and not far from the train station
E. M.
Love a good weatherspoons food delicious.
Staff was very pleasant and helpful.
Bit annoying children menu wouldnt work on the app and then when it automatically removed it.. it didnt remove the drinks 🤦🏼♀️ ive now got a lovely collection of smoothies 🤣
Ladies Toilets need some attention.
But over all we will be back
D. C.
A busy Spoons, but good service, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere.
k. h.
Great place to chill. Good prices.
Coffee free refill is a nice touch.
I. V.
Huge place all on one floor very busy but usual food and drink but nice and clean,
M. N.
Good value for money. Great location
Food served daily. Ideal to watch sports
s. s.
Food good
Staff plesent
Lager not very good.
D. H.
Same as any other weatherspoon cheap and cheerful, only problem the tables we had to clear ourselves as not enough staff on
K. B.
This was a pleasant surprise. It was our first meal in England and we weren't disappointed for the price. Plus the free refills on coffee and tea was a great deal!
S. M.
Good food at a reasonable price. Good place to start off your visit.
W. N.
It quite good place for beers but definitely not for weekends. Because it is located in Central.
M. R.
Good, crowded but would expect that on a Friday afternoon. Staffing needs looking at. Only 2 tills in use though 5 staff behind bar. Meal was fine nice and hot.
t. w.
After waiting ages for our meal, it arrived cold. We mentioned it and got a replacement (again fairly slowly) but the management kindly refunded the whole cost without us even asking. Overall a good recovery from which of could have been a big complaint.
M. B.
A busy pub which makes for a nice atmosphere with, generally, quite a lot of tables available with varying sizes. Food came quickly and was nice and hot. Drinks also arrived quickly. Unfortunately at the time we visited there was a shortage so some of the options were not available on the menu, however, I imagine this is only temporary.
J.
Took a little wait to get a table. Good breakfast which was brought out quickly considering how busy they were. Great value for money.
T. M.
Decent Spoons in a great central location. Gets busy as you'd expect but service is quick.
L. G.
Clean. Very fast plight service. Food although very nice went cold fast due to plates being cold when serving up I think. So didn't give 5stars. But we'll done to staff.
A. N.
Your standard weathers, but it's in the centre so you know it's gunna be packed, however the atmosphere is buzzing..
A. L.
Good food at reasonable prices and nice atmosphere
Plus close to Railway Station
M. D.
Very good food, fantastic prices and friendly staff.
T. D.
You good place to have a meal with friends 🙂 ✌️👍🍵
C.
Busy central bar, standard Wetherspoons food, good value for money, friendly staff!
M. R.
Bit stingy on the chips and had to chase up a drinks order but friendly staff
A. V.
The only problem I have with wetherspoons, is that Breakfast is no more till 12 noon? Also the beer is not bad priced for city centre, just about £1 dearer than their Eccles Cross which is under £2 for a John Smith pint, then you also have Trafford Centre nearly £5 a pint just above same price as this one, but they claim its because service charges? Anyways will still go to any Weatherspoons!
A. K.
Good for a pint and nice food, clean toliets what more is there
B. B.
Lovely large bar with excellent value and service
A. W.
Nice weatherspoons. Surprisingly large with lots of seating and enough space between tables to not feel claustrophobic.
Food came up quickly but chips were dry as they had obviously been cooked and kept warm for too long.
Staff were friendly and the bar was clean
Tables were cleaned and cleared frequently too.
Oddly, a pair of empty Uggs were in the ladies on the floor for our visit (an hour and a half). Toilet wasn't dirty at all tho.
T. 3.
Very busy ! But fab service. Great food. Can't fault it. Had a few gins went down well
A. L.
As Wetherspoons go it was all right, extremely busy on Saturday afternoon due to the football though. Sunday morning was busy but not as bad as the Saturday experience.. My only problem is that it is a small Wethers so don't take long before it gets packed and you will struggle to get a table.
F. (.
It's an ok wetherspoons. It's cheap. It needs clearer signposting for the toilets and some tables don't have numbers on them so you have to go to the bar to order. It's not the cleanest and the tables are very cramped together. The dividers between tables for COVID are flimsy and just annoying. You move you annoy those on other tables because they get knocked by the dividers
V. S.
Vegan review:
Cheap and cheerful! Came here as brought a Hawaiian friend who wanted to try some traditional British dessert.
I had the ice cream from the eton mess with apple crumble!
B. Z.
Quick service but sat for an hour before they realised I was blocking the fire exit.
d. h.
OK really. The lavatories aren't a million miles away. Good selection of beers as per usual.
M. P.
Don't even think of ordering Anu curries here, absolute rubbish. In fact it's not even curry.
d. j.
Really busy but served so quickly excellent a good weatherspoons
C. W. M.
Good places to eat and food is nice.
E. O.
Good pub. Was busy bit good night out with friends
T. T.
This is a fairly dingy, salubrious place but I cannot argue the prices. The all-day brunch was pretty good. I love how many condiments Spoons provides.
R. B.
Some Wetherspoons can feel a bit dodgy. This is one of them.
R. Z.
Very interesting place. One restaurant from Weatherspoon network. Good food with acceptable prices. Traditional English breakfast cost about 3.8£ a very good meal. And you can chooose bears from about 20 different types! Awesome British climate and a lot of people but always you'll find place to sit somewhere with friends.
S. R.
Not bad my fish and chips was hot
P. M.
Great breakfast, excellent prices, friendly staff.
D. L.
Hard to find a seat .have to wait till people leave other then that great place to meet up
s. w.
Clean place and friendly staff
Always does the job for an early breakfast 😋
C. S.
Fast and effective food, really packed out and crowded which is only issue.
S. M.
We have been coming to this restaurant pub in Pointon for countless years and quite regularly. We haves always received good food, service and ambiance. We have also been regular visited ti many other Weatherspoon restaurants and hotels up and down the country mainly because of consistency in the quality of food and service. However this was the first time we were disappointed with the food. Both the dishes we ordered were over cooked, burnt and tasted sickly. Now we are not to sure whether to give them another try. We may give them one chance if no improvement then it will be the last for long time.
S. W.
I like going into manchester wetherspoons. Had a beer or two.
P. N.
Very good price quality balance
T. J.
A busy Wetherspoons with a wide range of real ales at the usual good Wetherspoons prices. A little hampered by its' size which is comparatively small for a city centre 'Spoons but of course this is nobody's fault.
W. J.
Usual service and relatively good value breakfast
S. G.
Cheap food and drinks. Very nice atmosphere!
S. C.
Air conditioning on a cool day. I don't know why there is air conditioning on in March.
D. S.
Was not good tonight as all the staff were working one end of the bar and no one down the other end but no signage etc. Saw managers etc just laughing as the weren't in that section according to their rota but they were happy to see us waif5qhen they were doing nothing, not good customer service. I worked in hospitality so know this and if I had time would have spent more
L. R.
Very nice pub packed all the time
H. M.
Went for breakfast was actually really nice, and cheap too.
H. M.
I was staying in the Northern Quarter for 3 days and visited here a lot during my stay, it has the same standard spoons menu and drinks list, i like spoons because they're great value for money and always quiet (as in no loud TV, music or god-awful karaoke nights)
This is definitely one of the better ones I've visited. The food (especially the burgers) were absolutely amazing, I wasn't expecting much with the free coffee refills but they were some of the best I've had in years. It was always clean and tidy and the staff are friendly. It's worth a visit into Manchester just for a visit to this Spoons!
J. S.
Great place cheap drinks and food. Staff very attentive. Great pub around.
S. S.
Called on a busy saturday afternoon, managed to get a table, ordered food and drinks. We ordered a pizza and pasta all was tasty, quick service, ordered gin and tonic , lots to choose from, will visit again.
P. W.
Great place - great staff. Usual fabulous Wetherspoons value for money 👍👍

J. B.
Good food, good beer. All human kind is in attendance .
K. B.
as usual no complaints good place to go
A. o. A.
Exactly what you'd expect from a Weatherspoons, wide selection of bar food and drinks. Check out their food and drink specials, they are quite delightful
M. T.
A variety of life on this place and the beers cheap so happy days.
s. r.
Cheap beer but some out of stock on the last visit. Meals reasonable and well staffed.
L. C.
Excellent service. Very busy. Good at
N. F.
Only had drinks, but the service was great. The clientele were.... err... yeah, but atleast the atmosphere was friendly and had a great vibe.
M. M.
Now i noticed that this was the place for the best pint of Guinness thanks to a friend of mine in Malta
S. L.
Really nice food. And great atmosphere. Will return again
K. F.
Crowded but is very popular no queing system just difficult to get served at bar, I realise that you can order on app from table but not everyone is tech minded,
D. E.

J. M.
Jalmacleisure Bouncy castle hire out for a quick drink in town .great value and service thank you.
t. c.
Standard pub food, good fast service from very friendly staff. Toilets downstairs. It was clean, but could do with a major overhaul as it was looking a bit dark, dingy and a bit tired.
J. S.
Good for breakfast, quick and cheap, good value
T. W.
It is what it is.

A. R.
Quiet and clean. Fast service
H. C.
Came with my sister and mum, and the food was delicious, very impressed. We ordered way too much but we still kept picking at bits as it was all so tasty. The service was brilliant, wasn't waiting ages for food or drinks. And did very well to keep everyone distanced and safe.
I. C.
Great choice of beers at a great price
P. Y.
Food was good.usual quick service.no complaints
A. C.
It's a Wetherspoons, if you like the atmosphere of a Wetherspoons, and like the cheap prices of the food and beer, then this is the place for you. Also usually very good to people watch, with all the people that have been out drinking since the place opened, and can be seen making a fool of themselves.
S. W.
At the time we went here it was busy, this is no as big as the one on Deansgate
food good,staff helpful.
T. K.
Good beers and friendly staff
K. M.

T. P. F.
Busy and well maintained. Very attentive serving staff, especially helpful with regarding a payment issue I raised ( my error not theirs), which the member of staff rectified. Many thanks.
M. S.
Very busy, still service was good.
D. M.
Always a nice atmosphere for families or just to meet up with friends service fairly quick, really enjoyed my fish and chips will be calling in again 😊
A. B.
Cheap and cheerful. Gr8 location when waiting for bus or train 😊
M. P.
Decent pub, decent prices for a city and great starting location if ur getting off the train.
App is really good, drinks take hardly anytime to arrive
E. M.
Delicious food, good coffee. Lovely atmosphere I loved it for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
T. H.
The door host wasn't particularly welcoming and seemed unsure how the app worked or what was on the breakfast menu. Prices on the disposable menu differed to those on the app leading to confusion. No item swaps were permitted. Despite this, the food was delivered very quickly and was of a high standard. Excellent value for money under the Eat Out To Help Out scheme.
A. P.
Cheap, cheerful, decent food, decent drink. It's spoons, a Ronseal pub
T. M.
Lovely food but slightly noisy
V. G.
Gets very busy. Friendly staff. Beer cheap enough for a city centre. Great atmosphere. Food is good
S. E.
Good value for money food looked good
m. c.
Very busy struggled to find clean tables to sit at. The staff were nice but looked like they could jave done with glass collectors and staff clearing table.
G. W.
Standard weatherspoon sticky carpet bar surfaces minging
M. M.
Good food friendly staff Good service 👌
K. K.
Eating, drinking and for very reasonable prices! Been here 3 times over one weekend's time (1x booze and 2x breakfast)
f.
Fine place, maybe a tad smaller than other Spoons. Service was fine and speedy.
G. G.
Fantastic atmosphere. Lovely place
s. t.
Very busy.. great atmosphere
E. O. k.
Nice food drink relax 😊👌
P. S.
Great food and quick service
A. B.
Extremely busy, well organised, good food
P. G.
Always a great place to meet up for a drink and to socialise
R. D.
Great food, fast service.
G. D.
Very busy witherspoon handy for piccadilly train station
P. B.
Nice, not into plastic pint pots
R. B.
Hey, you hardly pop in for the ambience. Ordered food from the app appears very quickly so my son was very happy. The chicken burger was OK he said. Staff were very helpful. Pity about the occasional person asking for change at tables or, worryingly, being asked if I wanted to buy some leggings (!) from a shopping bag. Watched them move from one table to another, being dismissed by customers, but still persevering. Coffee was of the expected standard. Wet.
s. m.
Tasty meals, quick service. Couldn't fault anything.
J. H.
Lovely staff on entrance showed us an available seat and told us how to sign in using app which was also so easy to use. Food arrived fast and everyone was kept apart by partitions which looked classy and not those horrid plastic ones that look cheap, we came here for breakfast which was 19 pounds cheaper than the hotel round the corner and it was really good for the price, next time we're in Manchester I will call again
N. J.
Not bad for a Spoons. Friendly staff, very busy.
T. G. B. C. C.
Brilliant pub only problem is when I drink over 20 pints some bstard puts more chairs and tables in the way that weren't there before and I end up falling into them and spilling everyone's drinks, this invariably ends up with me getting a right good kicking outside and that's just from the women, it can ruin a great night.
K. L.
Well, there is a beer shortage so just 2 Ruby coloured ales were never going to please a citrus blonde real ale chap! The venue in the centre of Manchester's piccadilly had a friendly crowd at early lunchtime (plus the usual characters its difficult to police!). I've often enjoyed the first class Wetherspoons breakfast here (well once a year but every year!) To be honest not sure why the lighting is so dull and yes its time for some brighter paint colour and a new carpet, but for the price one should never complain at the great support Wetherspoons gives to the real ale experience, just hope you get supplies back to normal ASAP! Looking forward to improving you to a five star review next visit.

Very fast service ....good atmosphere
g. a.
Super fast service using the app.
S. H.
Really good vibe in here but always busy. Not the place to be if you like it quiet
S. E.
Lovely food and great servi
R. P.
Full of people and there was a man in the women's toilet.
E. R.
Lively environment. Friendly and dast service and usual Wethersppon standard and prices. Great!
S. R.
Great value for money and well trained staff. Cheap and cheerful. We frequent W'spoons wherever we go. Always reliable.
P. B.
Good atmosphere, but very busy and a bit pricey on drinks. Especially when over Spoonies in surrounding are considerably cheaper.
A. C.
Ok for wetherspoons but some staff just not interested in customer service.boy that was serving meals was lovely..loads of things out of stock but obviously not there fault
M. C.
Usually a good visit but place was under staffed. Poor girl behind bar was run off her feet. 😕
D. D.
Burger ok only got half a dozen chips
A. G.
Cheap English breakfast under £5 hot drink 99p as much as you can drink great value
L. M.
The steak was solid the service was OK but nothing special
D. H.
Food was good value for money.
E. S.
Staff really friendly and efficient at such a busy time and following covid regulations. Got to say a great pint of strongbow even greater price. Will return
D. F.
Fast service. Old decor. Food was ok. Vending coffee easy available.
A. B.
Came here for food with the family and found the staff to be very accommodating and professional. Edd and Josh W were fantastic and gave us great service. The food was served quickly and to a good quality. We will definitely be coming back the next time we return to the area.
J. A.
Traditional British pub foods and a large selection of beers both international and local at a relatively low price. Great atmosphere and a nice place to chill with your friends after a long day of school or work. Great location as well, only complaint is that the floor is sticky at times which can be a bit disgusting.
C. D.
Quite a small Spoons close together and alot dearer than normal but excellent location. Friendly staff.
G. M.
Good food, well priced, quickly served, good selection. A firm choice of many people
S. J.
Over priced for drinks especially vodka and energy drink
H. T.
Typical city centre Witherspoon's noisy, overcrowded, but good beer.
Short measure on each round but willing to top up when asked.
M. S.
Had such an awesome time in manchester with friends went to wetherspoons with friends drank cocktails all night lovely atmosphere there..
D. C.
This Wetherspoons was very busy for a Sunday afternoon. The staff worked hard to keep the bar clean and served our drinks very quickly. Our food came a little later but we weren't waiting a long time. However, our food was lukewarm. We didn't complain as it was very busy, and the food was still edible, but it was a little disappointing.
L. H.
Lovely place just what you expect from weatherspoons
T. M.
Big nice place to meet up, eat or just have a drink. Very busy place. Not enough room as sometimes you cannot find or get a table to sit down. There are disable toilets there. The main toilets are downstairs. Which are clean.
S. P. M.
Good place and nice location
S. H.
Had delicious fish ,and chips. With a very pleasant young man serving us.
A. M.
Always packed and wait ages to be served
T. H.
Popped in for a bacon butty and mug of coffee. Once paid for the hot drinks are unlimited during your visit. Very reasonable price as expected. Just before leaving I returned my empty mug to the bar and asked for a takeaway coffee that I was happy to pay for 99p. The helpful guy said as I had already paid for my coffee earlier there was no additional payment needed. Quality customer service!
A. S.
Great table service..
But poor bar service very Slow ...
J. D.
Good for cheap food and drink, didn't feel particularly safe about the precautions they put in place, the tables were spaced well and there were screens, there wasn't anybody keeping an eye on people once inside though, places I've been have made sure people aren't wandering too much, this just wasn't there.
C. E.
Managed to get a seat straight away, easy to order on the app, food arrived within about 10/15 minutes, staff were friendly. Food would have been overpriced though if it wasn’t for a 30% off offer they were doing.
M. M.
OK, food OK and very busy
J. W.
Great food and drink. Will use again and again
J. C.
Obviously when you're in Manchester and next to the Northern Quarter, full of amazing pubs, the Wetherspoons (typical British pub) it's not gonna be the best one. But always love to have a drink one this one when I'm in the area
S. J.
Staff look miserable, hygiene is very poor (Tables don't get cleaned often and bathrooms were nasty),.
Service at bar was poor, staff don't acknowledge you and they don't pay attention to who is next to be served which means you can end up waiting longer to be served.
Would have give 2 stars but bouncers were decent compared to most places so gave it 3.
T. C.
Great place to go and relax
D. R.
Usual weatherspoons cheap n cheerful
H. h.
Absolutely jam packed couldnt move trying to eat our meal people squeezing between tables n people standing Nightmare never again
T. M.
Standard Spoons really, prices of food and drink are decent and they've always got a wide variety of stock.
Remarkably clean considering how busy it always is. Never once had a sticky table or dirty plates or anything like that. Floor is never sticky either. Credit to the staff and management for how organised they are to keep the place going
A. T. (. L.
Probasbly the better Wetherspoons in the area, also surprisingly calm inside considering location. Toilets a little disastrous though. .
D. S.
The food is the best value for money food there is. It's really cheap but tastes great. Love the table service as the pub was very busy. Very friendly people, both staff and customers. Only downside, the ladies loo is a hike.
S. A.
pub was nice clean friendly staff just need more staff when busy waiting up to 15 minutes get served
T. F.
Typical Wetherspoons pub , Cheap and cheerful
j. t.
Just like weatherspoons all around the country reasonable prices, food and tvs
C. P.
Great value for money. Food is good considering what one pays. Also vegan, gluten-free options available. But the tables are a bit dirty and the light quite gloomy. On the other hand it's a cheap place
I. B.
Brilliant staff . Very polite and respectful young bartender behind the bar which knows how to deal with costumers. Very good place to have a drink/drinks (and another one ,another one ,another one ) its getting really busy. I don't know about the food but I highly recommend this place for people who wants to have a pint.
S. B.
Not too bad. Visited s couple of times over the weekend. Food was good for the price. They are doing the track and trace properly. Hand sanitiser readily available. Service good and quick vis app.
ת. ש.
Amazing food, great atmosphere!
T. A.
Food is always decent there, especially considering the price. They do however make errors with the orders. My vegetarian eggs benedict - which was delicious, came on the same plate as sausages, which were ordered as a separate dish for someone else.
S. N.
Excellent service by a young team who nothing was too much trouble for. Great breakfast and unlimited coffee
H. J.
Great food and really convenient that you can order food directly to your table from the Wetherspoon app. However, I felt forced to use the app, because it was really difficult to get the attention of the staff at the bar. Also, we had to wait a while for the food. Still definitely worth going though, and the price is great compared to the amount of food you get. I only paid £11 for an English breakfast, two soft drinks and a bacon sandwich.
M.
Large wetherspoons pub, very busy at times. They may try and restrict numbers once at capacity.
a. W.
Lovely food at amazingly good prices
p. f.
Great service great food
A. G.
Great experience food and drinks cheap but worth every penny
L. D.
Dirty seats wouldn't eat in here
0.
Decent place to go with a few friends or family to have drinks and a meal. Food is decent, especially the burgers (chicken butter ones). The halloumi fries are great to share also, they not great to eat by yourself.
Orange juice is not bad!
Coffees are fresh and including the other hot drinks are refillable and unlimited! (they use semi-skimmed milk, if you was wondering.)
Friendly staff! It is a shame they don't ask how was the food they served.
S. D.
Consistent with the Wetherspoons brand, this is another successful large pub, usually always busy, fast service by happy staff, perfect for large groups, located in the heart of Manchester city centre. Breakfast is available early, the food ordering app for Mobile phones is excellent. Great value for money. This is definitely not a romantic pub, it is more of a beer hall, popular with tourists and friends on a night out.
H. R.
Large and comfortable bar near piccadilly train station. Great prices on drinks and food, cheap and cheerful.
M. L.
Food up to same standard as always, but service below par for this chain. I could see our food order sitting on the hot counter, and then the manager and a waitress were discussing some matter more important than the customer whilst leaning on said hot counter. I timed it and when it was eventually delivered to the table pulled the waitress up on it. She had the cheek and temerity to : a) answer back and b) not apologise. Extraordinary performance!
B. F.
Was good. Table service app delivered within 5 mins
S. G.
Normal to have friendly bustling atmosphere. They don't play music. It is cheap pub grub and you can get good value for the food and drink. It's good to go now and then, the pubs do have a local feel, it does lack charm. Get what you see of a national chain
N. R.
Good service in general, borderline-hectic atmosphere at peak peak times. Standard inner city blob shop HQ, Wetherspoons standard big room ender.
A. W.
The food was decent we went for breakfast. We used the app to order and it mislead us into thinking we were at a different spoons so we had to pay twice. This is an issue with the app rather than the actual place. Staff were all lovely.
G. R.
First time in this place service very good friendly a and tidy will visit again when in city ideal for a coffee
J. E.
Busy, but prompt service
D. H.
Great value for money. Food arrived promptly, we got the breakfast and it was very tasty. This Wetherspoons is very busy and perhaps just be aware that there are some pretty 'rough' characters in here even in the morning. Coffee free refills!
D. P.
Very nice Staff
L. C.
Very pleasant and helpful staff.
S. A.
Good value for food, tasty and convenient.
D. B.
Excellent service. Would recommend
c. B.
Great place to eat and drink, just watch your drink, I had mine stolen, only took my eyes of it for 2 mins, it was sat right there, i got talking to another customer on the next table, turned to get my drink and it was gone! Staff really helpful, service was great
S. P.
Go to pub for decent food at decent prices. One bad experience though is when a homeless guy came in and tried taking my ribs (which I hadn’t even touched yet) off my plate. When I shooed him away he went off to other people’s tables instead.
T. K.
Great customer service. I popped in for a quick meal and pint after getting off the train and before getting my next one.
I ordered food and a pint on the app, then only when I asked at the bar 25 minutes later did I find out I was in the pub next door.
Got immediately refunded for my own mistake, so I cannot complain there.
A. P.
Spoons is spoons. Its exactly what you'd expect with very friendly staff.
M. T.
Does exactly what it says on the tin!
W. A.
Spoilt ourselves with a 99p hot chocolate!!! Bargain at the price!!!!
j. m.
Good pub with good grub
C. W.
Staff good quick service 👏
j. h.
At this time they are following the guidelines set up by the government. They used track and trace an were seen wiping tables down regularly. The staff were friendly and the beer was cheap. I would go again.
J. S.
Popped in for a few coffees whilst in-between train journeys.
J. R.
Nice wetherspoons close to centre of Manchester. Great selection of drinks
S. A.
Amazing staff & food
J. D.
Not much room due dividers at each end of tables.
L. S.
A great place. It is what is, a chain semi-budget pub. But for what it is, its fantastic. Great atmosphere, good food which is also cheapish. See all walks of life in here, dependant on time, day, what's on in Manchester etc.
Advise you to go if you're visiting Manchester! It's a real Mancunian 'Spoons.
Z. M.
Was okay. Not a great Wetherspoon as I did work in a different one in the past I know the food took way to long for breakfast and myself needing to tell the people behind the bar about how the till worked. The pub wasn’t very busy but didn’t smell nice in one of the front rooms. The toilets were well kept. Been in better Wetherspoons
D.
Used the app on a very very busy day. And the food and drink all came within 17mins of ordering. I'd say that was very good service. My only suggestion would be to allow the option of adding comments to orders as we Souldrop have liked the steak cooked blue but no way to ask. Luckily it came out a good rare so we were happy overall. A top notch service
k. p.
Packed on the day but a nice typical weatherspoons
A. F.
Served beer in plastic cups. Should be illegal
F.
Good prices and nice atmosphere. Toilets not super clean.
K. W.
All day brunch brilliant
C. J. S.
Great place to socialise and enjoy good food and drinks
M. G.
Things went from bad to worst what a S*** morning 😉
r. m. s.
Excellent eggs benedict.
L. B.
Staff are friendly and food is quickly served at a high quality. Well done.
L. C.
Nice and handy if you are near the picadilly station, usual weathspoons offerings, not too busy and helpful staff
C. O.
Fish and chips - fresh, crispy, delicious. Pizzas stone baked, thin vase, tasty toppings. Staff helpful and friendly. Waited some time at the bar, maybe raise wages and recruit more staff?
A. B.
Although very busy the tables were clean and service was quick and very friendly. Staff was helpful and excellent at the menu knowledge. Food met the chains expectations. I would recommend this establishment.
N. R.
Food and drinks are tasty and well prepared. A tiny bit overpriced but really great service. Everything is just super natural inside and is a great spot for everyone.
S. A.
Really good service, and food was as good as you can get in a Spoonz
i. m.
Full of drunk people,,, cheap beer, great !
F. S.
Very busy but was quick with food and drink which were tasty
y. a.
Lovely Wetherspoons restaurant with delicious food, refreshing drinks (there's an amazing variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks) and kind staff!
G. S.
Initially had to wait an absolute eternity to get served at the bar, as only 2 staff were working it.
The mixed grills we ordered though more than made up for the wait. Beautiful & they were brilliant value for money.
M. R.
Not the best Wetherspoons in the area by any means however staff seem to work well constantly. The place needs someone to be the appointed table and floor cleaner all the time. It's a very busy venue, doesn't look overly inviting from the outside as those who smoke are at the entrances as there is no licenced outdoor area. Can seem a little uneasy if you are not used to the city centre as there are plenty of shall we say undesirable characters wandering in and out. Overall the place is ok, good food and beer choices at very competitive prices. Just clean the place up a bit. And hey! the staff do work hard thank you guys and girls.
T. T.
Really nice breakfast, friendly staff, good atmosphere
J. S.
Went in this Saturday just gone, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was tasty and for the day after a heavy Friday night the toilets were nice and clean, not like some other places locally! I would come back to this place, nice place for a drink in the evening also.
T.
Good place for a reasonably priced food & drink in the centre of Manchester
S. R.
Typical spoons, good :)
K. M.
Excellent post-nightout cooked breakfast venue with unlimited coffee and a mouthwatering menu.
s. k.
A nice place to eat 😋 and drink 🍸. Good prices 👌 as well .
L.
Great pub in the central hub of Manchester directly opposite Piccadilly square. Lots of seating and it regularly gets busy in the evenings. We use the app to order food/drink to our table which is so convenient and quick. Lots of typical Wetherspoon pub food options at average prices.
m. L.
So busy, but the staff are so helpful, I have seen that they will do so much to help you
O. R.
Nice variation of drinks, peaceful, and nice atmosphere for chatting (no loud music). Food isn't something special, small quantity, not a really clean place from the tables to the bathroom.
