Reviews of Windmill Hotel

Listen to people call this pub a lot, because of the rules, but if you went and tried a drink and how friendly and welcome it is, you would change your mind, okay phone rules, but if you look round most pubs all ages are on the phone, even text each in the the same company !! No body chats no more . The windmill as good staff and owners, who go out there way to make you feel at home, with beer starting at £2.20 a pint upto £3.40. Its a no brainer, so come in an see what you think. You will be shocked to see its the smartest pub in the area by far.

Looks fantastic.completely different to how used to be. It has had a complete refurb .can't add photos as you are not allowed to use your phone in the pub.
Beware about the no phones and no swearing policy. Guaranteed a friendly welcome . check out all the rooms like stepping back in time.

I work as an IT guy and it's great to get away from electronic devices. I am exposed to many hours per day of multiple screens, communication methods, data and information. This place is good for my health. Never thought I would ever say that about a pub.

Absolutely beautiful restoration. Please visit and support this museum of a pub.no phones allowed though.

The pub itself looks to have had a (very long-awaited) pretty good refurb with multiple rooms and tradiitonal decor. Signs around the place state 'no mobile phones, tablets or laptops'.
The service leaves a lot to be desired though...
We popped in to see what it was like only to be told by a grumpy barman they don't take cards, so I went off to get cash from Asda. Meanwhile he served my wife and son, rang it through the till and asked for payment (which he knew we hadn't got until I returned a few minutes later).
Having served us he then informed us that kids weren't allowed inside so we'd have to go outside, which we did, only to then be told that kids weren't alowed on the premises so we would have to finish up and go.
So we did, and we won't be back for a long while.
Go to the House of Hops instead - it's got a much better range of beers and is friendlier.

Lovely pub, open fire. No mobiles allowed to be used so you have to talk.
