Reviews of Wine and Wallop

Very good food. Swift polite service. Nice seating inside and outside. Dog friendly. Good non alcoholic beer. A birthday treat which was well enjoyed by all.... as going anywhere for the 1st time can be a mission and a bit of a faff but this was 100% enjoyable and reasonably priced. Thanks 😊

Absolutely love this place! It's very quickly become my new fave local cafe. I have been coming here pretty much every day for the last couple of weeks to work & have thoroughly enjoyed every day. The staff are super friendly & the food is delicious and very reasonably priced! Highly recommend :-D

Visited post Covid. Much better than expected, own brand real ale good. Prices with CAMRA discount reasonable for Didsbury. Comfortable seating outside under canopy. Deft table service (only), card only.
Up one star.

THE perfect neighbourhood bar, go alone, it's great, on a date, it's great, take the family, it's great, even just the dog! Day to night, the food, wine, interiors and staff, all amazing. Very lucky to have it so close.

Quality food and service. Afternoon time during weekdays is good to bring a book and things to do. It has nice environment to focus on something and just enjoy your own time. I love their veggie breakfast and yogurt granola.♡

A bar that's on my doorstep (I got takeaway pints from them in lockdown!), and maybe I'm biased because of that, but it's really good.
Good things - a nice selection of beers and (as the name suggests!) wines, with new beers being added in fairly often as well. They do a decent coffee as well, and when the weather is nice, there's outdoor seating in the sort of arcade/promenade-y bit on Lapwing Lane. Dog friendly too. The last few times I've been, staff have been really good at coming over and seeing if we want another drink when we're getting to the bottom of our current ones... it tends to be nice and lively in there most days too. It's just quite nice.
Things to be aware of - it's a cashless bar, I think, so make sure you have a card/applepay or similar on you! It's not the cheapest bar, but it's also not expensive either, to be fair.
Overall, a really nice bar that's sort of inbetween West Dids and Didsbury Village.
