What a nice pleasant Pub. Met a friend here for dinner, and was greeted nicely with friendly staff. Phone network was not good there (not their fault) which meant we ordered at the bar instead of the App - Which is quicker, easier and friendlier anyhow. Food was good, great value for money, another reviewer stated overpriced, this was £12 for a plateful of well cooked and tasty chicken. Some people expect 5 star hotel food and pub prices. All in all, a typical Pub, yes there may be some beer stains on the carpet or a lick of paint is needed somewhere, you just need to remember it is a pub, not a restaurant. And therefore has a much better atmosphere.

Beer, including selection of tales, good, but very loud live music played through the pub's own system. Actually quite a good performance, but we had to sit outside at the front to converse at all. Left after one drink.

Was here for a meal about a month ago which was lovely. Food was really good and dog friendly too which is a bonus. The following week however we popped in for lunch while rugby was on. It was really busy but there were a few tables free. I asked a waitress if the tables were free or had they been booked. She asked "what?" then walked off when I started to ask her again. Extremely rude for no reason and put a bad taste in my mouth due to this particular staff member. So disappointing.

Was here on Friday evening, nice pub, most of the bar staff were polite, except from one lady who was a bit rude and unwelcoming. I asked her what red wines were on offer and she looked at me like a piece of dirt and pointed to the red wines whilst muttering a word that I couldn't make out, it sounded like a grunt. I don't know whether she was annoyed at me because my presence at the bar distracted her from being glued to her mobile phone or whether she was just having a bad day.

Went today and nice setting but the steak was over cooked and all black burnt . My partner had the gammon had the same issue but when returned came back looking and tasting alot better. Nice beer garden and atmosphere.

Great pub with a nice selection of beers and also food. The prices are a bit expensive, but the food is good and very tasty. The Fish and Fries was really good, and the Sticky Toffee Pudding was just amazing! The terrace is also nice, even on cold days.

Love the changes since I was last in here (years ago) very pleased to see it open. Love what they've done with the outside area, friendly staff (even brought out a bowl of water for my dog) and great choice of drinks for humans too ha! Basic Greene King pub. Does what it says on the tin but nothing to get excited about. Food pretty bland and basic but some good beers on draught.

Wonderful place with plenty of options. You have to download their app to order currently which is nice. The menus are a little divided but you can order from different ones so I was happy to include a random Yorkshire pudding with my lunch. Staff was very nice and welcoming.

Very family and dog orientated place - which is a positive or a negative depending on what you're looking for. (Some parents need to realise that this isn't a Wacky Warehouse..!.) Good range of beers and Gins, great staff, providing table service - which is nice, management seem to have enough staff on to maintain this. Usual range of pub food that fine but nothing to be wowed by. Good outdoor yard space. Just not the place for an adult / child / dog free drink or two.

Really good pub with nice decoration inside and a decent selection of ales and craft beers. The quiz night we attended was good, albeit really hard! Sadly we didn't win, but it was a popular night with the locals. The food is average to good, it's not fine dining, but if you are looking for a modestly priced, filling meal it does the job nicely. The décor is clean and fresh and the staff are very friendly. It has a really good paved space out the back which is an absolute sun trap in the summer. Dogs are also welcome which is great!

This was a sad and tired 'old man boozer' when I first moved to the area just after the millennium. Now completely refurbished and opened out, it is a great place to come. Decent range of ales, craft ales and premium lagers, plus an excellent selection of wine and gins (other spirits are available). Will be back to try the food again, but if the sharing platters are anything to go by expect good pub grub.

Nice pub. Warm atmosphere. Good selection of drinks and ales along with a varied menu. A bit like a maze inside in terms of layout so if you think there aren't seats, keep looking. There might be one hidden somewhere.

I like this place allot as a Pub, there's a good selection of beers and spirits, it's not just your usual big name brands. I used to like the food too, the menu was small but the food was fresh and had a homemade, rustic quality to it. I'm not sure if the place is now under new management but, they recently changed to a new menu which is much larger and much lower in quality. The food now seems to me to be pre-prepared and has the quality of a Weatherspoons chain. I hope they go back to the old menu as I can see them losing a lot of custom, I certainly won't be eating there again but it's still good for a drink.

Perfectly good pub to drink in when at Didsbury Green. Well-appointed L-shaped interior, with a large outside drinking area at the rear. Muted colours, low ceilings, and a mix of furniture create areas for dining, lounging, and simply drinking. A snug at the front affords a more intimate experience. interesting bar is on the right side of the main high-ceilinged part of the pub; the back of the bar features a collection of mirrors.

Great local pub, this particular property has been through so many guises since we've lived in Didsbury but the current Ye Olde Cock is hopefully here to stay. Wide selection of beers including craft beers, tonnes of good food offers, the taco sharer is great. Food is above average for pub food, not amazing but the 4 stars is for the beer, decor, atmosphere, beer garden (god knows why on a sunny day people insist on sitting at the terrible The Didsbury across the road) and consistency - still as good now as it ever has been.
