J. F.Eleanor gave us great customer service and kept our drinks topped up during our bottomless brunch. Such lovely kind girl! Would definitely come back to do this again
J. H.Nice cocktails. It was a sunny day and a big group of people reserved the majority of seats outside…but then sat inside for most the time. Other people then sat on their empty tables and the group came out and moaned at the ladies sat in on their table. Maybe there should be a rule around reserving tables but not actually using them

Highly recommend if you want a nice relaxed lunch. Even had a 2for1 cocktail.

Staff are always friendly and happy to help with organising large groups, the venue is very pretty (good excuse to dress up for a visit!) and the food and cocktails are always delicious. Love the 241 cocktail deal! Also good location as close to the train station and other restaurants and bars.
V. J.Such a beautiful place, and the energy is immaculate. The staff are fantastic, especially George. He was a great guy with a great sense of humour, and he made us laugh, the best bartender I have ever met, he deserves a pay raise. I highly recommend seeing this place.

L. J.Excellent food again and reasonably priced. Last time had a really great steak, cooked perfectly. This time we both had the fish and chips which were lovely. Outside space great when it's warm as long as you aren't right by heavy smokers.
The only downside was that my husband was told to remove his baseball cap if he went indoors. He complied but he wears it as he is conscious of his bald patch and in consideration that not long ago you could wear a full surgical mask inside it is really quite ridiculous! His cap wasn't hiding his face and S&L is not exactly posh! He is nearly 60 and hardly fits the demographic either. One of those rules is rules gone mad i think, which did marr our visit and hence 3* not 5* review!
M. W.Astonishing service was provided today by the team, such a friendly welcome was greeted to myself and my family ! Instantly seated and served by Harry, who helped us with the menu as this is my first time coming here. Definitely recommend, such a beautiful scenery of a restaurant. Food was lush and drinks were Devine !

P. F.We had a small leaving gathering here during the week which was great until the quiz radio over the speakers drowned out our conversations.
The drinks aren't too expensive & the staff are polite, but the booming shouting noise of the quiz bought the evening to a sad premature end. I think other guests thought similarly, as there was a fair number of customers in before the quiz started, but looking around as we left around 9.45pm, there was just a couple of other tables of people, the majority had left already.
Shame really.
A. b.Not a big menu, drinks are expensive. 2 for 1 cocktails if that's your thing. Overall nice enough ambience but nothing to shout about. Food was warm not hot. Could do better

Was seated at a table of 15 and so expected that they would be making a particular effort to plate our food in good time but all our food took extremely long to arrive, time instead being dedicated to manning the busy bar downstairs instead of hungry customers who if kept satisfied would likely buy more drinks.
K. A.I was a bit wary about going here during a pandemic, however with social distancing rules in place I felt really safe taking my nieces here for lunch. It was very empty when we arrived and the staff were so friendly and nice. They really made me feel welcome and were understanding that I was with 2 five year olds but they behaved spectacularly.
My nieces had two kids meals; fish and chips and burger and chips. For £5 each (£2.50 at the time because of Eat Out to Help Out), which included a drink and a dessert, I was shocked at just how big the portions were. My nieces really enjoyed their meals and made a really good effort to eat most of it, which they actually don’t do often in restaurants. You can also choose between veg, beans, salad or rice (i think) on the side for kids meals and it’s nice having so many options for the little ones to choose from. I also should note that the chicken burger was like a proper piece of grilled chicken and not breadcrumbed so is definitely healthier. I’m not sure if they have any colouring-in pages here, but that would’ve been a nice addition! If they did, we weren’t offered any. I remember they had them in the old S&L.
I had halloumi & chips which, as a vegetarian, is a bit boring when every restaurant you go to thinks you either want a weird veggie burger or halloumi. I’d love to see more veggie and vegan options, however the halloumi was really nice! The portion was basically the same size as the kids menu though but I’ve had it before and it’s been bigger.
A. A.This place is one of the best! Kai is an amazing manager, had an incredible night. If you fancy a bottomless brunch this is definitely the best place to go.

Really helpful and brilliant staff both on the floor nd behind the bar. All I can say is if you want good food, good vibes and good Music, Slug and Lettuce in Milton Keynes is the place to go.

I appreciate it was busy but the staff were so unhelpful and really not interested in providing any kind of service.
Having to wait over 30 minutes for drinks, when you've only got 2 hours, just isn't acceptable. Even asking for a bottle of prosecco felt like you were asking the impossible, with a reply being given by one member of staff that we'd already had 2 bottles....... It's a bottomless brunch!!!
One of our friends in the party wasn't drinking and asked for 2 soft drinks, she didn't get either of them!
There are much better places than here to go for a bottomless brunch, check those out first before making a booking.

I had a very relaxing time with a gin and tonic and was a perfect place to start my weekend away. I was served by Zane and Shurick who did a great job serving me a couple of lovely gin and tonics, making friendly conversation and advising me on the local attractions of the area. I’ll definitely be returning during my stay here.

We struggled to download the app (MK has patchy signal) and it's 30+mb and that's when Lorena stepped in. She kindly just took our order and from then on she just looked after us and when in family mode that made a big difference.
Service from Lorena, front of house and bar staff was impeccable, unflappable and warm. I have family who run hotels and f&b (food and beverage) is vital and certainly under appreciated in the UK. It was appreciated tonight. Thank you.
I work in MK and have been here for drinks many times, so it was different being here with family with the party happening around us but lovely to feel part of it and our daughter loved it.

E. G. C.Really wish I could give this place a better score. However we arrived and the lift was broken so no access for wheel chair users to the top floor. The problem was resolved by seating the party downstairs but in the doorway which was not very pleasent. Although our food was brought quickly because we weren't "where we were supposed to be" and it was slow service to refresh drinks. Food was over all good, but some of the pastries were a little stale. We struggled to get the bill and when it came it was incorrect but was rectified as soon as they knew.
The disabled toilet has a baby changing table in the room rather than attached to the wall which makes is hard to maneuver into.
The place was clean and well maintained and is decorated beautifully.

You walk in and can't help but look up at all of the beautiful decor, blossoms and vines trailing the ceiling, pink neon lights shining brightly from the walls. It's spacious and vibey. The staff go above and beyond. The food isn't just standard pub grub. It's well presented, well priced and really tasty! Great music, too. Highly recommend if you're visiting Milton Keynes, The Hub!

C. C.The going out experience is somewhat ruined due to covid however the rules are a bit odd. You can mix with whoever you want in the smoking area and share a table but when you go inside you can't sit at another table even if there are less than 6 of you. There were 4 of us and the manager told us we had to go back to our own table. Ludacris as we'd spent over an hour sat together in the smoking area. But cocktails are good and venue is good.

J. S.Went on a Saturday afternoon to catch up with friends. Didn't book a table but managed to get one as a walk in. Initially the waitress was pretty dismissive and just said there was no tables if we hadn't booked. She didn't offer for us to wait but some people were leaving so we took their table on our own accord. Generally the sevice was ok but they could have done with some more staff as the waitress was clearly stressed. Decor is nice and trendy but the food was not amazing. Cheap quality ingredients and poorly executed.
E.This place is modern, good atmosphere. Ages varying. Been two times for food here and both not really been great. I would happily pay extra to have table service as on a busy night it can take a while to get drinks. I am going to try food one more time 3rd time lucky. As the decor itself is worth enjoying over and over. Great design slug and lettuce 👌

a. x.we arrived 45 minutes late due to weather and taxi issues, however we phoned them multiple times to inform them and they wasn’t picking up, we even left voicemails. when we arrived they said we couldn’t come in as they gave our table away, (i paid a deposit) we explained that we had tried to contact them, which they wasn’t understanding at first, due to our confrontation they gave us a table, when we got inside it was near enough empty! i don’t see why they couldn’t of given us one to begin with. we then ordered food, however two of my friends was unable to recieve their food as they ordered at 9:01 and the kitchen shuts at 9 which they didn’t inform us about... therefore two of us had food and two of us didn’t, which to they was extremely rude about and not understanding. they tried too rush us out of there, coming over to our table constantly. i told the bar man i was giving the restaurant a bad review he replied ‘ okay my names sam ‘ shocking!
now two of my friends have water infections, is this a coincidence?

t. 2.Definitly an improvement on the Missoula bar that was here before. Staff are enthusiastic and friendly. The place seems to be designed to get the ladies in. There's a big emphasis on cocktails (you can even book cocktail making lessons) and the decor seems to have a very feminine feel to it.
