Reviews of Wetherspoons
j. u.
Excellent venue. Not exactly cosy but friendly staff, great selection of beers and ciders and all very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
T. M.
Came in for an early lunch on a Saturday, returned in the evening for a few drinks and came back Sunday for lunch. On every occasion I was very impressed with the speed and quality of service. Food was very pleasant, tasty and as usual, excellent value. Better than most Werherspoons in my view.
B. A.
A Wetherspoons with no name! Bright airy space, very popular but with a good variety of seating areas. The all day hot drink option for £1.20 is exceptional value.
A. F.
This is the BEST one I’ve been too so far, it’s Big, Tidy, well air conditioned, great location and they even have fruit machines. Not that I use them. Lol! Gonna demolish my small fish and chips with curry sauce! Yummm
J. D.
Great food as usual 😋 on crutches so great to be able to access the downstairs ♿ toilet 🚻 with key provided by staff 😊
Do love a Wetherspoons 😊
N. T. K.
Very popular with office workers and families alike, this serves acceptable food and drink at keen prices. Having the app makes purchasing from your table very simple and dishes arrived in under 10 minutes. There is space outside too, mostly filled by boozing office workers. Basic but reliable.
e. w.
Fantastic service drink and food ok the building looks nice inside that the chairs were all dirty and also no not very crowded very clean toilets and very happy staff
(2)been back a again great food and drink friendly staff full stars
C. B.
Used to be welcoming and a positive experience. But the new table and high chairs are impractical for people. Food was hot👍
J. B.
Let's be honest you can't beat a wetherspoons. Not the most glamorous food but it's still pretty yummy for the price. The drink prices are so good and so much variety. This spoons wasn't very busy. Food came very well. Toilets were fine. The only annoying thing is you have to pay for parking which isn't very expensive. 50p for half an hour.
n. c.
Cheap beer, nice cosy place & microwave food.
Don't recall anything cooked by chef, everything(food) is frozen which directly goes into oven & is served.
I like the portion size on the chips
G. H.
My friends and myself visited from Canada this summer while in town for the F1.
Food and drink were good and inexpensive.
Five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for the staff and especially the locals who made us feel so welcome, you make it a special place !
Cheers!
D. H.
I'm not a big fan of Weatherspoons overall, but it has reasonably good food and extremely good prices. They are easy to find and I enjoy the food well enough to occasionally stop in.
n. e.
1st time here and hopefully not the last, clean, staff friendly and very attentive. Only thing was the tables outside weren't fully numbered but that's just a little thing but one of the best spoons I've been in.
C. C.
Not as good as usual. We're not able to use the app as it had apparently been turned off because it was so busy. I would have thought that the app would come into its own at such a time. I had a wrap that was meant to contain Hollumi tomato and cucumber. I got lettuce.
T. J.
Excellent pub for its location. Great friendly staff too. And obviously wetherspoon prices are amazing.
A. I.
It is what it is. Cheap as you like. Decor is well over 20 years old now and it starting to look its age.
S. N.
It was lovely to find a reasonably cheaper drink and the chicken meal we had i would definitely order at any other witherspoonsand it was so busy so I was surprised how quick the meal came
H. F.
Not the most traditional pub, but plenty of space, inside and outside seating, and with pints at a very affordable price, what's not to like.
P. T.
Weatherspoons was great. Quick service.when busy. Lovely food . A very enjoyable evening. Thank you weatherspoons.
A. S.
Good selection of real ales as usual. Service abysmal as usual not enough staff to clean up tables.
J.
Good, quick, polite service from the staff. Breakfast arrived quickly, was well cooked and hot. Lovely coffee. Cheap and cheerful
C. O.
Lovely meal and very well priced. Service was abit slow but it was very busy
T. C.
Big seating area with plenty of space outside. Brilliant selection of drinks. Very cheap and very cheerful
R. F.
Large, noisy, modern pub lacking any old-world charm. Beer is cheap and food is edible.
K. K.
It's a lovely place to meet up with friends for good few drinks. Food and ambience is very nice.
D. B.
Amazing service, friendly staff. Drinks came quickly, will be coming here more often.
R. C.
Whilst on this occasion the pub was really busy: service was excellent with a good number of attentive, efficient staff.
A. N.
Has a ‘just taken over a few office spaces’ vibe but the staff were great, food was quick and the app worked really well.
R. P.
New menu...not great for me...chicken tikka was something I could eat without too much problems as I have Crohns but new recipe means I cannot now eat that either. I cannot eat oily foods. Salads not great either if not really fresh or they start my stomach churning n need to go home.
I wish I could get a hotpot or shepherds pie ...cottage pie or stews. Roast would be lovely. Something simple not fussy. I adored the mushroom risotto...I had it all time time when whetherspoon first put it on menu.
M. M.
Busy & Noisy but service was quite quick. Nice food. Good prices & location.
T. E.
This place feels a bit tired. The ambience is somewhat lacking something, possibly due to not having any music playing (a blessing in disguise as I still had my voice the next day) or the fact that the lighting is far too white and bright (reminiscent of when they turn on the lights in a nightclub when it's closing time). I can't fault the selection of drinks available or the price (they had one ale on offer for 99p a pint! I felt I'd gone back to the 90's!).
Give it a refurb and it'd be top-notch.
D. W.
What a very busy public house, the staff and the service was great.
The food was also very nice.
V. N.
Another branch of the famous restaurant chain in the UK. Ambience is really good, just needs some additional music. Food is fine though since there was a shortage of fried chicken last time. Also the tables above the podium are a bit conjusted.
D. W.
With pub prices going through the roof, Wetherspoon's always offers great value.
Where else can you get a curry and pint for less than £8????
C. W.
Great food and atmosphere, cheap drinks and friendly staff, always worth the vist
M.
This has nice space and plenty of seating but does attract a lot of loud teenagers at all times of the day. Also the staff can take a little long with the online orders but not problems here.
S.
Spoons will always be a good place but to be perfectly honest the food standards are slack compared to the bletchley higstreet spoons.
Also the wings are still bad
Had a wrap very good but you get 5 chips when you pay for a portion
C. G.
Food good, staff good. BUT not enough staff for such a big place. Sometimes have to ask for tables to be cleaned not done quick enough for new customers to come into.
S. M.
Was perhaps a very busy day but I stood waiting at the bar for a good while before giving up. Phone didn't have much battery so just ordered food n few beers on the app and then left. Would have had a few more had bar service been better.
S. S.
I visit Miltonkeynes Wetherspoon on regularly.......and must say Staff are doing their best hence, service was great,
Though size of fried eggs are getting smaller.... looks like chef is so efficient to cook 2 fried eggs out of one.
Unless chicken is not being looked after and started hatching smaller eggs.
C. M.
Typical Witherspoon's, good value food and drink. My gripe is they only use white bread!
K. A.
Outstanding service from Isla, thank u for banning my friend from drinking you are a saint. I am so sorry for what u had to endure. You deserve a raise <3
K. M.
Good size venue, plenty of parking, good food, friendly staff would use again
M. B.
Always nice to recognise by staff when I don't visit often large spacious and lovely chicken tikka
W. W. O. E.
Friendly staff, great atmosphere and cheap drinks
N. F.
Very pleasant surrounds and a well priced and tasty breakfast for 3. I definitely will do it again!
a. a.
If you are just going for drinking it's good then .if you want to experience some cuisine then I will not suggest
H. R.
Great pub and less busy than the other one big venue and plenty of space to sit
J. M.
Cheap and cheerful. Friday Fish club - not the best fish and chips out there but good value with range of IPAs in deal. Meal for two + 3 drinks each £22. Decor not changed much from when i came in early 2000s but clean nonetheless.
B. H.
Had the Empire State Burger. The bread roll part of the burger was very dry, hence only 4 Stars. The meat and trimmings were all cooked perfectly. Large Latte to accompany the meal.
l. w.
CP value is high, free refill of coffie or tea
M. G.
Clean friendly helpful staff. Good quality and quantity of food
J. L. N.
A lovely visit and a Merry day out with the family. Good food and a lovely venue ... just a pity there is no music, so there is no vibe at all (the reason for the 2star deduction)
P. F.
2018: Very good range of real beers, but venue can lack atmosphere
2022:. Nothing much has changed in four years, still best range of real ales in city. Still lacks atmosphere. Good value! Staff are great as well.
S. V.
Cosy and quiet. Sometimes a bit too quiet. Needs a party night on the weekends with a DJ or something!
M. B.
Nice food, prompt friendly service. App works really well.
J. H.
It's a big Spoons! The biggest venue I've been in so far for a Wetherspoons and more space than you know what to do with it. The food was on point and the drinks were pretty great. The staff were quick on the mark with bringing over everything when it was ready but very quiet or in the zone when they were clearing things up. I did say thank you but did get somewhat blanked. Perhaps it was busy but I was a little...I don't know, I thought I'd get something out of the staff member who attended to our table.
Definitely well situated to deal with out of town shoppers who want a quick bite at a reasonable price.
R. C.
Been working away for two weeks and made this my local. The staff are great and so are the drinks ! The food on the other hand is a different matter. The pizza that they served my was the worst I've ever had! No cheese and not cooked
G. T.
I’ve used this ‘Spoons twice this week as I’m in the area for work. You pretty much know what to expect from these places so you chose it for consistency. Lager was spot on, nice and cold. My steaks were ok for the money, pretty much what you would expect. I wish they would offer something else other than just rump or Sirloin though.
The table number was not readable but staff still managed to get food and drinks to our table
W. P.
The tables were dirty, but they cleaned it. It's not really expensive mainly the beer. The food was okay. The restaurant himself did look fine.
P. R.
Good witherspoon, good selection of beers, food was good and served quickly, staff were excellent,
S. D.
Didn't help that it was match day (being just opposite the MK Dons' stadium, to be fair, so it was very busy and lively. It took a long while to get served and an even longer while to actually get the orders.
S. A.
super fast service with breakfast, decent food as usual, plenty of staff on hand serving and cleaning. No complaints, well run establishments.
E. P.
The best food quality/price is always at these pubs !
J. D.
Great beer, food, and atmosphere and reasonable prices!
V. B.
For the money it's great, fast service and good food with bottomless tea and coffee
t. a.
Can't go wrong with a spoons. Nice outdoor space too
c. s.
Love this pub, I go there mainly for the real ale and decent prices, it has lots of room, very light and a superb atmosphere. Just a great place to go for good beer and food, cheers.
R. N.
Great meal tonight great service excellent staff would definitely recommend
N. Y.
Had a really nice real ale. Ordered ham egg and chips. The fried eggs were placed on top of the chilled ham, so the eggs were cold. Can I suggest the eggs are put directly onto the warm plate. Thanks
g. m.
Service was good, a bit dark inside ,food was O.K.
L. G.
Totally solid Wetherspoons, but limited unique features. Responsive staff and fast ordering. Food is good for the price, but you don't go to Wetherspoons for fine dining. Two of us ate and had a pint each for safely less than £20 in total
M. M.
I love wetherspoons restaurants. But this is one of my favorite. A lot of space and new bathrooms with normal clean toilets. Good price like olways and good food.
R. T.
Stayed 2 nights nearby and ate at
Weatherspoons. Staff very helpful and friendly. Had couple of pints of Stowford press which was lovely. Had breakfast and evening meals 2 days and very good.
M. P.
Cheap decent food and good beer.
S. A.
Nice selection of real English ales. The food is good as well. Great price-performance ratio.
Z. A.
They have food, there's alcohol, the service is sufficient. Nice open place to come if you bring your mates with you, the plain decor and lack of music is helpful for carrying on a conversation, I suppose. Like much of Milton Keynes, "grim" is a word I would use while describing this particular pub.
P. R.
Superb meal last night
A. W.
Lovely Ambience.. Friendly and Attentive Servers.. Great food 👍
D. M.
We arrived just after 1pm and it was packed with office workers. No problems with service though.
M. B.
Food good nice and cool inside too
e. s.
Local ale is the best to try. Being first time here, enjoyed the good drinks and crowd. Quite busy place, no worries there an official app to serve you at the table as well.
J. F.
Great food and drinks! Lovely pub.
P. W.
It's OK. It's a wetherspoons you know what you get, miserable staff and food is OK, that's what you get here.
J. g. l.
Staff and food are good atmosphere could be better but all n all I would recommend this place desbled friendly
P. E.
Reasonable place to get a coffee at a fair price.
T. P.
You get what you pay for. Bit noisy, younger customers, busy, fast table service via app.
D. R.
Free refill is amazing on the coffee. Breakfast wrap brilliant loved it
N. P.
Love Weterspoons!! Realy good price, delicious food, amazing staff that works very hard to keep this pub nice and tidy and everyone served, as this place gets really busy, simply because of its great atmosphere.
Plenty security staff on site so you can have a peacefull evening.
Love this place!!!
F.
It's a weatherspoons not as grotty as moon under water but still a weatherspoons
S. E.
Nice food, even when busy fast service. Will was looking after our table. Very nice person, and professional with a smile.
J. O.
Cheap and cheerful, even when busy doesn't take long to get a drink or food served. The staff are friendly and happy to get you refills. The app is very good and simple to use.
A. M.
Friendly atmosphere..good price and large meals. Ideal for when funds are low.
J. B.
Even though I frequent this place on Sunday, I do get the impression that their are more staff serving food to customers than that are behind bar and I have worked behind a few bars in my time, maybe wetherspoons should hire more staff for behind the bar.
J. C.
Nice with friendly staff but oh so full right now. Can't get to the bathrooms without going out the side and back in the front. Great atmosphere though.
D. L.
Good service and food. One of the better wetherspoons.
P. T.
Big spoons 🥄 in Milton Keynes
A. L.
Helpful staff, food was plentiful but a little on the dry side. Will give it another try next time I'm in town. Relaxed atmosphere, very airy restaurant.
A. C.
Great selection of real ales at very good prices
f. l.
Nice and quiet place for breakfast pleasant staff 🧚♀️😊👍🧚♀️
A. M.
Lovely place! Highly recommended 👌
A. B.
Spoonies did the job. Did it reasonably and at a good price what more can you ask for.???
M. C.
Great pub. Nice and big inside and an outside seating area too. Drink is cheap and very good quality. Food is cheap and delivered quickly.
H. F.
It's a wetherspoons. Great value as always. Friendly staff, rubbish atmosphere from lack of music as with all wetherspoons
P.
Nice big spoons with all the covid rules in place. Fast service and friendly staff. Would give it 5 stars if you didn't have to pay £2 p/hr to park
J. N.
Excellent staff.... Enjoyed Breakfast and had a wonderful Stout to wash it down( be careful not to soak mushrooms in oil.
G. C.
Same old value for money witherspoon does wat it says on the tin
S. F.
Good atmosphere. Good service. Didn't need a steak knife for the mixed grill as the meat was so tender.
K. S.
Covid secure. Great table service. We used the app for checking in and ordering, all vt simple. Good food and drink. Staff were friendly and approachable. Great place for pub grub!
M. J.
Good food for the price. If you're hungry and can't wait for table service.... This is a saviour. The burger I had was good and the onion rings were crispy and tasty. No fuss food for a very good price. Good drinks too. 15 quid for two (including drinks) and we were both stuffed...
N. P.
Not bad you know what you get with spoonies, this one is ok go for it
F. H.
If you want a quiet drink or meal this isn't the place to go. The food is the same as if you went to any Wetherspoons, which is what we wanted. The food is good and very reasonably priced, which is just what we were looking for. Perhaps if we'd gone earlier on a Saturday evening it may have not been so noisy. This is a very large pub with little soft furnishing to absorb the noise. No complaints really it is what it is cheap good food. Toilets needed to be checked a bit more frequently.
M. H.
Very popular place, food was nice and plenty of choice of real ale
j. h.
Great way to start an away day at football great breakfast coffee and pint
p. g.
Good place to hangout with Friends, colleagues. Lot variety of beers are available. Food is also good.
They provide takeaway option too.
Both indoor and outdoor sitting available.
R. D.
A great atmosphere and very clean . Meals were spot on .
S. D.
Great place for cheap drinks
Quality meh ...
T. H.
Slightly tacky, after work sort of place. Ordering by phone App works really well, queueing at the bar used to be murder.
S. B.
There’s loads of seating, both inside and outside for the summer months. Outdoors there’s a couple of areas catching the sun as well as some tables in the shade too. It’s a really spacious pub inside and you never feel like you’re knocking amongst others. Unfortunately there never seems to be enough people working behind the bar though, and it’s a common occurrence to have to wait a while to be served.
There’s lots of TV screens dotted around and plenty of fruit machines if wanted. Parking is immediately outside but unfortunately is metered and payed for. The toilets are also large and always clean. Food is as you’d expect, but it’s always been served quickly and of good standard.
There’s less ‘local history’ to admire in this pub than many other Wetherspoons and as a result the atmosphere is a bit lacking. However if you’re looking for somewhere quiet it’s still a nice retreat and always a popular spot. I’ll continue to return here when out in the city!
O. L.
It was okay. Very spacious and there was sitting space when a group of 6 of is entered. Waiting at the bar for a drink was very good as we did not wait too long so thumbs up for that, however the lack of staff meant the place was a bit dirty. If you order to the table via app you will wait a long time. There is a side entrance to a smoking area and toilets are fairly clean. I think it is a bit overpriced for spoons
C. M.
Good place for a cheap an cheerful breakfast
S. D.
Had a good meal & drink. All served safely. Needed to order on their app from the table, but it was no trouble.
C. S.
Well I order mushrooms and they didn't arrive only my drink did which is surprising
D. B.
This is a standard Wetherspoons. It sells reasonably priced beer (which was the reason we had gone there). It had a great selection of beers when we were there. It does get busy and you do have to wait to get served despite them having a lot of staff on. They do have a table service app that may speed things up but I've not tried it.
S. B.
A busy evening, only one table free. We used the app to order table service which arrived promptly, and was fresh and hot. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Good selection of real ales on (all ten hand pumps on). A good visit.
k. g.
Stayed one night, and had a clean room with spotless clean bed linen, pleasant staff would definitely recommend, as it had all you would want in a stay
T. G.
Yeah it's an airtight spoons tbh, parking right outside, staff are competent n all that so yeah I rate it
L. M. (.
Its an average pub; Its spacious, cheap drinks and you can even order to your table. Sounds great right? Well its offset by the couple of rude members of staff I had. The toilets are aweful, avoid if you value your health. The music in the evenings is just horrid and you can barely hold a conversation. Although I get the impression that's the point; Its for the young and desperate during these hours. Otherwise a mediocre pub, but cheap.
a. d.
Very clean friendly staff food good be warmer
C. L.
Food was pretty poor . Far to short staffed to beable to keep the tables cleared & tables sanitized people leaving there masks on the table i think is disgusting why shld staff have to clear them up . What's more annoying is the guys who did it walked out thru the bar not wearing them when it clearly says to wear in open spaces when walking around. The manager was very polite when we pointed out these things bless him . But on the plus side when going to the toilet doors where propped open so after washing or sanitising your hands you didn't have to touch the doors to get back out to the bar . So not all bad.
D. M. W.
Fantastic value for money, great atmosphere, efficient, friendly staff. Thursday was curry night, which was very tasty, good portions and came very quickly. All this, including a free pint for under £8! I simply can't fault anything. Superb!!!
C. K.
Couldnt get the app to work but they took order over the bar so all was well. Good food and fast service. Just what I needed.
M. T.
No complaints. Nice staff
T. L.
Typical Wetherspoons.. cheap and cheerful, average food.. perfect for a work lunch or place to meet after a long day!
C. L. M. H.
Gorgeous place, perfect location, quick and polite customer service, lively and cheerful atmosphere... All what we look for a nice evening out .. or just having a drink and relax..
R. A.
Despite a huge crowd and fairly slow service, friendly security guys and understanding and kind wait staff made the trip worth it. The app-ordering is by far the most useful feature - decent value for money on drinks too.
E. W.
Lovely staff couldn't do any more to our help even though the run out of wine glasses best Wetherspoons have ever been to a lovely meal lovely drink thank you so much
k. p.
The beer selection used to be very good. New beers to try every week, but for the last few months the selection hardly changes. Bar staff aren't greatest when it comes to who's next.
Update - beer selection has improved quite a lot. Quality of bar staff has decreased even more than before
C. H.
Its like any other weatherspoons but a bit lifeless.
M. H.
Staff are courteous and professional in all their service. Wearing masks at all times which we did as well when collecting the coffee and teas. Service was quick. Great breakfast!
M. T.
3 lagers and a bottle of wine £14.16..I love spoons!
s. f.
Very cheap and the food is not bad atall
G. C.
Slowest service of any Wetherspoons I've ever been in. Its a pleasant enough bar, light and airy, but maybe a little lacking in atmosphere. Good selection of ales and a decent menu as you'd expect from this excellent chain. Very good, clean toilets. But don't pop in for a quick drink of you've only got fifteen minutes.....you'll still be waiting to be served when it's time to leave.
M. “.
It's your average weatherspoon, decent prices and a large variety of drink. However lately I have found that seem to struggle to know what sell more of.
M. D.
Close to the railway station and a decent beer selection. Didn't try the food but looked OK.
v. T.
U always get a good meal in weather's good value never had a bad meal in any weather's I've bin to also drinks r reasonably priced as well alway spacious and some have outside areas
t. c.
As ever spoons was great thanks so much
B. C.
The building and decor is nice and set out quite well with the bar in the middle and tables around it but the service is not up to scratch. The staff are too busy chatting to each other half the time to serve customers and when they do get around to it they get the drinks wrong and take a long time making them.
L. T.
Good breakfast and the cheapest drinks in town what more could you want?!
M. M.
We went yesterday for fish Friday. The fish was excellent, best we have ever had. Batter was so crisp and fish was white and fresh. Today we had breakfast and it was perfect. Well done to the kitchen staff, and the servers.
O. O.
Food & service was great as usual. Love the Mac and cheese bites... Sooooo yummy. Gals were friendly and we're happy to assist with ordering wait time was short and sweet
J. C.
Good place to go. Its a weatherspoons at the end of the day so basic but what you need especially if you just want a few pre-drinks, some alright basic good or both. I went with a friend and we have been back a few times the drinks are very reasonable and the place is very big. We went on a Friday and it was very busy but not too busy. A good atmosphere. There isn't a lot of chairs outside so was tough to find a seat at first as it was a very nice day. We would go back again and recommend it for a few drinks etc.
E. J.
Great beers kept well. They often have beers in from Oakham Ales which are lovely. Not got that cost village pub feel but beers are relatively cheap and well kept.
Oh and if you ask nicely they will give you a taste of the beer you are interested in. Useful as this evening one of the beers I was planning on buying tasted like horse piss! Go for the Bishop's Farewell. Excellent beer!
D. S.
One of the best whetherspoons I have been in so far. Mainly down to the size, cleanliness, quality and price of the food. However the pints of Stella were rotten.
M. R.
Always good value in 'The Spoons.' Guest beers are £1.99 Guinness is £2.99. Food is well prepared, Curry club on Thursday is very popular, it's difficult to get a seat after 18.30. Bar staff and servers are friendly and fast.
m. l.
Good place to go with friends. Cheap drinks.
D. A.
For a Spoons, this one is quite nice.
Tidy, a decent and cheap ale, and great priced burgers.
My colleague had fish and chips where the batter was far too thick (to make it look thicker?)
Breakfast was stonkingly good value!
Overall : Recommended

Good atmosphere great prices

One of the best wetherspoons around. I work all over the country and this is easily the best one I have been to in the chain. It's always really busy but you can see why , £8.40 for a mixed grill and a pint. The food is always really well cooked and very tasty and the service is fantastic. Even though all the food and drink is the same in every wetherspoons, no 2 are the same as you can have a terrible meal in one and then you get places like this where it's fantastic for what you are paying. That is all down to the staff and management who have created a great no frills bar serving decent food at a fantastic price. The atmosphere is always lively and you get a real mix of patrons from young groups to your standard old guy sipping his pint in the corner reading the paper. If you use the table service app its quick and easy and the drinks are delivered with the same speed and ease.
J. G.
It's a spoons! Solid and varied menu. Good value and staff were friendly. Went for dinner and a breakfast as a solo traveller and made to feel welcome! Would recommend if you're looking for a good value meal and pint.
C.
Nice modern Wetherspoons location. Good atmosphere and quick friendly service. Useful car parking area outside with easy access payment machines. Quick delivery on orders when we used the Wetherspoons app to place our food/drink orders. Recommend!!
S. S.
Service very very slow waited an hour & half for food & my order was wrong. There was no condiments that is normally there & I had to clear my own table
V. K.
Nice friendly and quick service
g.
Love the big bottles of Peroni.
G. M.
Currently closed due to Covid19 Tier 4 Lockdown this big modern Wetherspoons is really good for travellers using Milton Keynes Central Station. Good Beers, Good Food ( inexpensive) nice staff altogether a good experience. Recommended!
A. M.
Cheap and easy. Now thanks to the app you can order from your table yo prevent horrendous queuing times. Food is usually good (you get what you pay for). Staff are usually friendly. Good central spot for a few drinks.
D. R.
I do enjoy the constantly rotating selection of cask beers at excellent prices.
S. G.
Been to many Spoons across the country (as we all have 🥴) This one is up there. Rarely don’t have the beer on tap that we ask for, food always comes out in good time. Really well priced, and in a decent location from the office!
J. R.
On our way to London from leicester nipped in to have a big brekki was as hoped for from Wetherspoons would have been a 5 but had to pay to park car
M. J.
A chill place to have a pint with your friends and to enjoy some snacks
J. Y.
Lovely food, lovely building.
A. Y.
Best spoons yet. Fantastic service , nice setting.
B. R.
I come to this special place often since I enjoy the ambiance that is characterizes this restaurant. The personel is extraordianrillyremarkably helpful and experienced. The service is pretty rapid. Not to mention, the food you eat is great. I ate there more than once and I was always joyful. The rate is reasobable. I highly recommend this restaurant to to everybody.
C. H.
Great constantly changing range of ales at good prices. Some great deals to be had on meal and a drink. Additional discount currently to be had on Monday evenings. OK, the food won't win any prizes, and most of the bar staff aren't that good, but at this price who can argue?
S. O.
Great place for lunch or an evening out. Great cheap prices for both food and drink. It gets very busy especially at lunch time and straight after the work day finishes but don't let it put you off as it adds to the atmosphere and the staff cope well with the queues.
Best thing to do is download the Wetherspoons app which allows you to order your food and drinks and pay all via the app then it all arrives at your table shortly after - their app is a game changer for pubs, it makes a real difference to your experience.
M. B.
Very clean and convenient restaurant. They serve big meals and for affordable prices. I enjoyed the meals very much and the staff members were very friendly and informative. Highly recommended.
R. F.
If you're after a reasonable procedure beer and some chicken wings - pop in. If you're after anything else, go elsewhere would be my advice. Table service is a bit slow would be my only criticism- but I only ever go when's it's very busy!
L. S.
No complaints here, good drink deals, average food, always hard to find a seat. Classic spoons experience. Gets 4 stars for good use of the app. Made us very 'appy indeed
M. T.
Been coming here on and off for 20 years. A good city centre pub with a nice atmosphere, without being to lively. Some great meal deals and the quality is pretty good for pub grub. Great place to have a Saturday afternoon pint.
D.
Had dinner for 4 adults and 2 children; good food at low prices. Mixed grill was lovely. All the food was brought out very quickly.
G. S.
Another great visit to Wetherspoon. The place was clean and not to crowded. The meals we ordered were nice. Sauces are in short supply. We are happy to call this our local Wetherspoon.
L.
Friendly staff, clean and tidy venue. Unfortunately like most weatherspoons food just about warm
R.
Surprisingly good food, even if they made an error in my order. It's been a while since I've been to a Wetherspoons because they tend to be heavily carnivore. There was a reasonable selection of Vegetarian options as well as some fish. Still all rather carbohydrate heavy .
p. m.
Beautiful steak 🥩 dinner, was not offered my free pint 🍻 to accommodate my meal, neither no receipt. I'm amazed but other's Witherspoon I've visited particularly in Scotland 🏴 100% for customers.
S. G.
Had a lovely breakfast here, the first time in a long time. Was great as per usual.
M. D.
Classical British pub, you can get food until late and my fish and chips meal was more than decent. Overall do not expect anything high quality or artisanal beer but works fine otherwise.
R. R.
This is by far and away the better of the two spoons in Milton Keynes. The establishment has an airy feel and the toilets are clean. Good selection of drinks at good prices, no complaints about the food I have had, as a former kitchen manager for the company, it is up to scratch. The temperament of the bar staff can be a bit hit and miss, but until you have worked behind a bar you don't know how tough it can be to remain chipper all day long.
P. K.
Big Wetherspoons restaurant in a really friendly environment. Food is well priced and tasty, drinks are also very reasonably priced. Plenty of choice of food and drinks too. Wetherspoons app makes it super easy to order.
J. B.
Needs some work doing on the ceiling but otherwise nice pub. Decent enough food & drinks.
G. G.
Wetherspoons not as good as it used to be. They've reduced the choices on their menus for adults and kids but increased their prices as well. We used to pay around £28 for two adults drink and burger meal deal and two kids meals with drinks but this has just cost me £36. My kids are disssapointed because there's no hot dogs or chicken nuggets on the kids menu anymore. (Two of the most popular choices) so they were stuck on what to choose. The service and staff were great but the reduced choices menu and price increases havd spoilt are regular visits to this place and it's no longer a cheap place to eat. Drinks are still at great prices but when your driving it's not much use to you.
M. P.
Rude service but great tasting food I felt like I had inconvenienced who appeared to look like a Manager and another customer barged in with his two pint 🍻 order and was instantly served. When I was finally served by the rude Manager my order was considerably more than two pints
w. t.
Nice n cool place for drinks. Easy to reach as out of train station. Atmosphere is good but not service. All bartenders r living jn their own thoughts n ignoring customers. Serving customers out of queues. Tables r dirty. Y someone come here to drink not just because of cheap drinks. Hope they’ll sort out these things to improve the service.
j. m.
Had a good experience here served very quickly and the food was great.
H. C.
Fairly standard Wetherspoons. Food is reasonable (not winning any awards but good for the price), proper pub grub but nothing too inspired. Pub itself is fairly large, mixture of high and low chairs and tables, tends to be easy to avoid noisy people and find a quiet corner if that's what you want.
R. O.
Good location & facility much needed in town.
M. S.
Ordered food, but not all arrived queried why the pepper sauce was missed, they had ran out, but not explained when meals delivered no redress, so we will think again about using.
C. S.
Food was nice and reasonbly priced although some additions didnt materialise. Its was so busy and the staff were dashing about like headless chickens. It was a bit like eating in a railway station. Not a place to bring small children.
D. S.
Normally love the food here, however today we tried the hand pulled chicken burger.
Dissapointed to say the least, chicken was most definitely not hand pulled & had more of a chopped into tiny pieces feel to it.
Overwhelmed by the source and almost impossible to keep in the bun.
The chicken had absolutely nothing to pick it out as chicken, I could have just eaten a Tofu burger for a ll I know.
Saving grace for wetherspoons the swapped out the meal for an alternative and have been fantastic in the customer experience side of things.
Yes of course we'll come back the value for money is second to none, just won't be having the pulled chicken anytime soon.
v.
Amazing service !!! Wanted to tip the waiter but they aren’t accepting at the moment so i wish they would add that but the girl who served me that day was delightful on the 30th of April in the evening.
C. C.
Standard spoons, although I dislike how they allowed us to buy drinks 5 minutes for closing then were trying to force us to leave without finishing them
S. C.
Fun & cheap afterwork drinks!
C. B.
Really nice cookie doah, drinks reasonable price and had a load of fun. Also praws were bloody beautiful, tbf youre probably thinking what a weird comment and thinking it was reviewed probably by someone drunk but nope its legitimately how I feel lol!!!
D. G.
Good beer but some loud clients whose language needs to be kept cleaner. Also drinks ordered by the app are left unattended on the bar and could be tampered with by anyone.
p. f.
Good atmosphere, friendly staff.
U. T.
Cheap food and drink, but slow bar service and lacking in atmosphere. Food is of decent quality and arrives fairly promptly. A good place to go to 'warm up' before an evening out.
S. B.
Very big and airy....lovely full breakfast cooked to perfection as normal. Staff here as always very friendly and accommodating with nothing too much trouble.....coffee gorgeous as ever so had 3 lattes 😁
M.
Cheap drinks although we had trouble with seeing the exact table number as wasn't very clear due to being faded, table was very sticky didn't feel very clean no good in the climate
I. B.
Called for breakfast. Great service and good food. Only complaint would be food not quite warm enough but far outweighed by service, quality and value for money
J. D.
They've put a lot of effort into fighting covid so they get a 3 star but the beer was flat and the food was poor, I know it's cheap but other wetherspoons do better.
G. E.
Friendly staff. Lots of food options I had fish chips and mushy peas at lunchtime and the service was relatively quick. My only complaint would be that the chips were a little bit overdone. The toilets were passable and usable.
T. B.
It is wetherspoons, no great expectations, a pub for the people, you que up for a beer, but wait was not long, prices very very good. No hassles, all fine. Did not try food, but may have breakfast tomorrow.
J. L.
Top drink service and amazing food
G. S.
I think needs a bit of updating - I understand it has been there a while. But food is fine (Wetherspoon's fare) and even when busy, the staff seem to get on with it and serve folk quickly. Usual range of beers.
A.
Breakfast arrived within a couple of minutes of ordering, drinks arrived quicker. Brilliant app, easy to register and works with Google pay or Apple pay.
V. P.
So Wetherspoons is generally quite a nice bar.
Pros
- Reasonably priced drinks
- Food until 11
- Great array of beers, ales and ciders
- Daily deals on different types of cuisine
- Really good value on meals / proportions
- Lots of space for big groups
- Great banter between punters
- Loads of seating
- Free cloud WiFi (coverage is pretty good)
- Dedicating seating for food
- Outside seating area
- Big bar with usually 3/4 bartenders
- A mix of sofas, high chairs or normal seats
- A fruit machine (gambling variety)
- Generally speaking its clean and furnished well.
Cons
- Now this could be me however 9/10 times when its busy I never get served, even if I've been queuing before other people, which is a shame.
- No pool table or dart board
- No outside heating (Feb2016)
- As far as I can tell you can't reserve seats or I've never seen reserved seating before.
- New app for ordering food is iOS only!
If you want a nice local venue with good atmosphere, an array of drinks but that isn't going to break the bank balance this is a great choice.
There is also another Wetherspoons opposite Chiquitos however the crowd is generally 40's+
J. P.
Good place to meet with friends but last time we wait for drinks over 30 minutes....😖
C. P.
Generally a good experience but don't go on a Sunday lunch time unless you are OK with out of control kids running around screaming.
The general manager was actually on duty but he and staff did/said nothing to the large, loud family group's kids who ignored the chaos their kids were causing
J. O.
It was expensive since I had to pay for my mates drinks but apart from that a great atmosphere and brilliant staff.
M.
Cheap prices for only 30mins train from London
M. S.
Not the most friendly of welcomes by staff, seeing 6 of our hen party walk in a member of staff was overheard saying if they get rowdy let me know. We were nothing but respectful and quiet from entry. Otherwise your standard wetherspoons
B. G.
Hi. This is the worst beer festival that has ever been presented here.
Tonight no beers are available at any pump.
All that is here is an unbelievably cooled stack of barrels that no one wants to buy.
Abysmal is the only word to describe this place, it used to be good. Shame on the manager.
Brian Goddard.
R. B.
Better than average Wetherspoons. Bright, airy with lots of seating. Good, cheap ale. Enough staff you weren't waiting long for service either.
D. C.
Cheese and tomato came out with cheese and ham instead (I'm veggie), friends mixed grill looked and tasted (according to him) poor. I thought his gammon was bacon. If you want a table you need to be there early because there is never enough.
S. B.
you simply cannot beat the beer prices at this place. good location and great selection of beers and guest ales. Curry club and burger day where you can get good food and a beer for the same price they charge in some more upmarket bars
R. S.
Service okay, wide range of beers and decent sun terrace. Incredible prices when you compare to Brewdog and Craft and Cleaver across the road. A pint of well kept Oakham Citra for £1.99 and Shipyard for £2.15! Shame the concrete cow brewery MK IPA had been finished for the weekend (I'm not surprised)
K. W.
Great atmosphere and quick service. Food was great & tasty. Cost of meals was very reasonably priced. Always a good sign when members of staff sit and eat food from the menu also.
E. H.
Not up to the usual Spoons mark. Layout of the pub and surroundings seriously lacking in atmosphere. Food was good, but difficult to order, as staff member couldn't understand standard food items. Not going to rush back.
G. W.
Great place fast service
d. h.
Love the food and beer
M. G. W. D. H.
Centre of Milton Keynes and this rather uninteresting bar has one saving grace; beer prices. Apart from that expect to wait to spend your money!
The atmosphere, well there isn't one. It's functional large scale unfriendly.
J. F.
Food very quick very very quick not sure about it all actually feel about funny funny chips they had haha
S. L.
Had a fab night in here with my sister.
A. D.
Drinks and food are reasonably priced. Atmosphere isn't bad either
S. N.
Spoons is my favourite place to enjoy a lovely cooked breakfast 😋 free refills on tea, coffee and hot chocolate enough said ☕
B. D.
Had a nice pint on a hot day, lovely people and staff just the atmosphere and looks of the place feel abit dark and out dated maybe an update is due, as moon under water wetherspoons and captain Ridley's had there updates and the look amazing Ridley's easily a 5 star, with an update easily a 4/5
R. R.
Always busy in the evenings. I use the Weatherspoons app to order food and drink and it is a delight. Great service all the time and really enjoy the atmosphere.
J. A.
Been coming to this 'old spoons ' for many years. It is good, the staff are friendly and we'll trained, the food alway as good as any other 'spoons' with the best selection of beers in mk. Thanks from me,and I have to drive 15 miles to get here
J.
Big pub. Usual Wethersoons, crowd, prices and decor. Not an outstanding site, but staff where friendly and efficient.
S. H.
Well just stopped in for a quick drink tried to put drinks orders in on app waste of time the app was not working so I had to go to the bar and order
E. F.
Ordered a curry said on web they had some paid only be told they didn't yet other food on web was updated if not available best double check before you order
A.
Clean and good food!!!!

I’m not at this Wetherspoons or at any other Wetherspoons tonight. I work all round the country during the week and for several years have enjoyed the beer, the atmosphere, the staff and the good value meals on a very regular basis at branches all over the country - most Tuesdays for the steak dinner and other nights as well. But i’m not there tonight because I’ve got tired of the food being served up "luke cold", and having to ask for it to be taken back to the kitchen for a reheat.
Once I can attract the attention of the busy staff they quite cheerfully take it back but when it returns it is often not significantly improved.
Im going to post this review on every Wetherspoon’s branch that I can remember where this has happened. I’m guessing that the kitchen staff need some training in plating up. At the same time, some of the waiting staff could be trained to look at the plate before asking if they can take it away - generally i’d say that if the plate is still half full and knife and fork are not together then it’s probably not finished.
c. b.
Reasonably good size with a big screen for sports and a good amount of seating. Haven't eaten here so no comment on food. Pretty standard 'Spoons..
K. S. (.
Well it's a weatherspoons!
Everywhere you go in the UK, you will find a weatherspoons pub.
This one in particular is no different from the other up the road or the one across the other road, I'm terms of food and drink, there is no variance, so it is consistent.
As I know what to expect, it's a great place to get breakfast with the little one, when babysitting on a Saturday, with good amendable menu.
The place could do with modernising and tables oftenly are sticky hence the stars, staff are hit and miss to, sometimes friendly and most of time grumpy unfortunately, but tbe price and quality overcome this.
T. K.
Excellent Covid-19 strategy, felt very safe. Usual decent food and drink. Attentive staff, overall v good experience
B. O.
Had the Christmas dinner, not the best by far. Some of the Turkey was rock hard and impossible to cut, had obviously been over cooked or left on the hot plate too long.
c. o. t. c.
Good food
A. D.
Upside, If you need a quick cheap drink you can't go wrong with wetherspoons. Downside is the service, I've never seen such inept and miserable staff. It's a real shame.
K. C.
Quality and quantity of local beers and ales high standard. Toilets have been updated but could do with a service. Food service quick and reliable.
A. L.
Lovely and affordable breakfast, large one is really large. Perfect option when your accommodation doesn't provide breakfast!
Staff could be just slightly nicer though
I. M.
Great staff, reasonably priced food and drink. Great selection of real and bottled beers. Chips invariably cold, but staff are quick to fix issues.
t. 2.
Hard to rate as wetherspoons are all built around the same experience of cheap food and drink with the same kind of decor. This one has been in MK for at least 20 years and is situated just 5 minutes from the hotels and main train station. As a wetherspoons experience it's quite pleasant. A lot of office staff come here to let loose on friday evenings.
R. T.
As expected cheap and cheerful.
M. M.
Good hardworking staff shame the place was full of Milton Keynes finest chav England supporters with it being so close to the station.
V. K.
Great beer for good price. I liked the app for food ordering. Unfortunately, i was disappointed by food. Burgers were too dry and without any flavor.
B. C.
I notice that new furniture has started to appear which is nice to see, but unfortunately there is no hot water nor has there been for over a month, which is not very hygienic especially in the middle of a flu problem, there are signs every where to wash your hands so can we have some hot water.(possibly a legal requirement).
T. H.
My local Wetherspoon's. Generally decent. Food and service are good but when it's busy it can take forever to get a drink. App orders get ignored at these times as well.
L. W.
It's a Wetherspoons! My favourite two beers on tap, but, like all Wetherspoons, you never know what their guest ales are till you get there. I also hate their policy of having pump clips on the pump handles with "coming soon" on them. When is soon? I'd much rather see an empty pump than one one that shows me what they've got, but can't provide. Other than that, cheap as chips, (sometimes even cheaper).
P. X.
Classic wetherspoons experience, good food and drinks at pretty good prices, service was very slow
H. F.
Very noisy if you like that environment, to have a conversation you have too shout to been heard. The food was okay, services could have been better. But on a whole okay.
Z. S.
Average pub food for good price. Clean and quiet.
R. M.
Cheap and the food going past towards the tables looked good. Very busy so not really for me but if you like a busy place this is great.
E. B.
Great value food and drink with excellent staff
M. M.
It's a typical Wetherspoons, but they obviously know what they're doing, as I'm here on the hottest day of the year and the ale is coming out cool and tasty with virtually no chill haze at all. I see a CAMRA award certificate on the bar so it's no fluke. This follows two pints of warm hazy ale at another pub up the road which shall remain nameless :)
J. W.
Best wetherspoons out of the choices in Milton Keynes and the wetherspoons menu and drink has never let me down. Lost the one star because of how filthy the place gets on a Saturday night, the toilets are always trashed
G. C.
Great prices as usual, the real ales I had were between £2.30 and £2.55 a pint. I visited at 9:10pm and, despite being quiet, there were dirty tables, glasses and plates everywhere.
M. C.
Real ale at £1.39 a pint with a 50p off Camra voucher. Lovely pizza and fruit salad to round things off. Staff were friendly too.
S. H.
Very impressed with this place it was clean and airy I think we will go again
C.
Outdated interior, staff friendly enough but waiting times can be very long. Standard Spoons food and drink
L. G.
Very busy, odd location
A. W.
Great food at realistic prices, good atmosphere, reasonably quick service. Shame the owner has been in trouble for bullying staff over a recent political issue that had no business being promoted through his business !!
P. S.
Very good pub food and excellent beer.
S. M.
Just stopped for a quick pint, awesome atmosphere. Friendly staff. Didn't eat here but it's a wetherspoons, you know exactly what you are gonna get
S. B.
Typical spoons, plenty of seating, good priced food but can get very warm and stuffy
J. H.
Cheap beers, loads of different ales on offer, including those from local breweries.
Can be difficult getting served sometimes, that's why I've gone 4 stars instead of 5.
A. M.
It's Spoons. Food is good. Beers are cheaper than rest of the city. Busy early weekend evenings but thins out when punters move to clubs.
P. M.
Always use Wetherspoons and today was a great example of how they can get it right. Clean tables, hot plates and food at a great value. Love the Hop House 13 on draught.
M. P.
Great to see old mates again
K. “. K.
Always busy, hard to get through. Good place to meet friends have a drink.
J. R.
Given this a 5 star because it will be right at the top. The manager of this pub is a RACIST in the last 7 days i have seen him ban 3 indian guys and two black guys all because he had the suspicion that they smoked weed. he had no evidence to prove this what so ever. just assumed. PLEASE STAY AWAY. just incase you would like to know who its the guy with the ginger hair and a fat belly looks like he was bullied in school and has a vendetta against people who arent white. just gonna say im white and i smoke weed and sit in this pub everyday
k. s.
Very quick a sufficient service ..Pizza fab... ham egg a chips fab ..fish was a bit disappointing more batter than fish ....wont put me off will try again hopefully just a one off ...👍
M. W.
Foods pretty good. Service time depends on the time of day, sometimes very very slow. Usually reminding staff gets you food faster
S. C.
Breakfast hot and appetising .
R. L.
Have been going here for years but the menu needs improving. It seems that unless you like bacon or bacon flavoured mayonnaise your out of luck and are limited in choice.
A. M.
Nice place to eat and socialise with massive space....also there is parking but during the day time you have to pay....food nice and friendly staff
A. D.
It's a decent spoons. Clean and tidy and food and drink were good as standard
S. P.
Ordered all food and drink through Wetherspoons app. Everything arrived very quickly, even when busy. All staff were helpful and friendly.
N. M.
This is a standard Wetherspoons, a low-priced chain pub located in Central Milton Keynes. The £10-for-three-plates hot snacks are always welcome during after work drinks that have gone on longer than expected.
D. R. W.
Had a burger 🍔😋 great 👍, just like the ones we have at home 🏡,
HAVANT.
L. J.
Can't beat a Wetherspoons for value. It was my first time in this one and it was good
B. C.
Awesome place to chill out
R. B.
I eat here a fair bit, the staff are efficient and the food comes pretty quickly. Good prices on the food where a drink is included.
e. h.
Great prices and drinks ,comfortable airy surroundings but very poor food presentation ,soggy salad over cooked tandorri chicken and no mint and yoghurt dressing or onion and coriander......which makes the dish .....had to request these!
N. S.
There are two types of Weatherspoons; dives and gems. This is a sticky floor poor service dive one. But...great selection of real ales as ever
t. b.
Had a really great time with friends food was delicious
D. S.
Nice and clean and good service
G. M.
Had breakfast good price plenty on plate for the money
C. B.
Nice place to have a drink and something to eat and to meet friends, nice friendly staff would recommend
R. N. 1.
As always the quality of the food is amazing 👏 except the chips that tasted like fish. I think is the oil or something...
D. H.
Good selection of drinks, really good value food, what else could one want???
Download the app for super fast table service.
S. R. M.
With in the budget drinks and food, quick service and friendly staff.best thing is we can order from the table if we have mobile app no need to wait in queue get everything from your finger tips.
S. C.
Possibly one of the best overall pubs in MK due to location, value for money and friendly staff.
m. w.
Actually I was well pleased with how it was laid out got the balance dead right felt like a pub service food and of course drinks perfect well done Tim and Weatherspoon
A. H.
Good selection of beers and the food was well cooked. Staff was efficient too. Lots of room too.
P. H.
Great value for coffee and breakfast, polite staff and easy access. Ideal place to meet for both business and pleasure in day time.
D. C.
Nice place but small plate to what was described on menu
M. E.
Quick efficient table service, polite staff. Good food and drink and great value for money.
R. T.
Usual wetherspoon menu. Good food at reasonable prices.
P. B.
Always a great place to drink and eat with some friends
S. C.
Great foos, reasonably priced. Loved being able to order on the app and have food brought to the table.
J. B.
It's a Wetherspoons. Slightly nicer than others but nothing to write home about
W. F.
Way too busy for the number of staff so a very long wait of about 10 mins to get served. We left after 1 drink as could not face waiting at the bar again to get served.
P. R.
Went here for curry night. The food was good for the price, but no where near Indian restaurant standard. Much like other Weatherspoons.
