Reviews of Wolverton House

We had our wedding reception here. It was absolutely amazing and worth every penny. Staff were helpful, courteous and couldn’t do enough for me, my wife and our guests. It looked incredible and the rooms we book were stunningly decorated. …

Went for the breakfast buffet, which was really good.
4 stars, mostly because I can't really comment on customer service, as it was a 'help yourself' breakfast, but the staff that checked us in were lovely, friendly and welcoming.
I'd also knock off half a star as the coffee wasn't great...but that is personal opinion, others may disagree with me there, but I found it a bit weak and like it bad been sat around for a while. Understandable, as it's made in advance and you just pour what you want as needed (it's unlimited tea and coffee), but it just wasn't a great coffee for me, sadly....
However, the food was pretty good. I think it's basically what you'd expect from a carvery breakfast Buffett, fried eggs, bacon, sausages, fried bread, hash browns, etc.
It was all good food, we all had a couple of plates each and shared some toast with our little one, which she was very happy with.
It's a beautiful building location, tucked away from the road, lovely building and overall very pretty outside, very cosy inside.
We will definitely go again, will also be going for a proper carvery lunch soon too!
Definitely recommend.

Lovely place to stay with children and chill. My ones had so much fun because of the little Parc in there for them, we also like the food and the fact that is not a crowded place and is clean😍😍😍

Nice big pub at the outskirts of Wolverton. On a weekend you might need to book a table for lunch. However, no booking is usually needed for the beer-garden (which is huge). Had a pricy pint and an amazing homemade pizza.

I am writing this review on behalf of myself and Janet Oliver.
We attended this venue for a wedding reception on the 18th September 2021.
Lena the manager/owner decorated the rooms so well and their entrance was absolutely breath taking with a peacock taking pride of place on the stairs with flowers cascading down was truly outstanding.
The food was excellent as were all the staff. The two gentleman who greeted us were extremely lovely and constantly helped anyone who asked.
In the evening a chef sat down with some of the younger children and helped them make pizzas that they could then take home. A truly amazing idea and the kids loved it. Their great manner did not stop there as later on the chef then started to play with the children with their toys and even danced with them. You cannot ask for better staff. Well done everyone.
I would highly recommend this venue for weddings, birthdays or even just a meal out. The staff are amazing and helped make this wedding reception a beautiful and enjoyable evening.

I've been coming here for years and this place remains to be such a beautiful setting and the staff are just incredible. The decor of the pub is stunning and much improved. The turkey was tender and the carvery was so well stocked thanks to the chef who was running back and forth from the kitchen refilling everything. We were greeted by the lovely kerry, and then served by a very friendly gentleman at the bar. You can see how hard all the staff work and how much they care about giving amazing service. Georgie came to check on us and cleared our table, she was amazing! Very much enjoyed my meal and sitting in the sun in the beautiful garden, while the kids played in the wonderful new park.

Great place to meet friends and have the kids have a play on the playground. I don't know why more pubs don't have this option. Service was good, staff was friendly. Food is fine, we definitely didn't go there because of the food. The playground, although new, is less inclusive for little ones. My 2.5 yr old was fine up the open stairs but most wouldn't be and I had to keep an eye as the fireman pole was too far away for her and there were a few areas her little legs couldn't reach. I was confident my 5 yr old would be ok. Overall really good experience

I absolutely love to eat a roast dinner at the former Wolverton house. There is a big seating range and a beautiful garden to enjoy your food and drinks. You don't have to eat there, people meet up and enjoy friends company in the spacious back garden, which now have new drinking huts.....(no smoking huts) which include seating and rain and sun cover.
When the park is finally finished? It will the the best eating and meeting venue, and the kids will have a secure play park to enjoy the sun with friends and family. Enjoy your time there.

I visited last week with some friends and our children.
The food was very well priced and really nice as well so couldn’t fault at all.
There was 13 of us and all our food came out at the same time which is rare these days in a lot of places.
Staff were very friendly and the kids loved when all there lovely puddings came out 😃
After dinner we sat out in the back garden, it’s really big and surrounded by grass and trees so kids were happy going off exploring to give us all some parent time 😂
I can see this place being very busy over the summer as it’s ideal for any families that want a nice day out.
Would highly recommend

Very helpful staff member found us a table in a quiet spot and ensured we had what we needed. Midweek carvery food could be improved as stuffing was dried out and gravy had completely ran out, but chef refilled it after ringing the bell. Previously had a weekend carvery which is very well priced with a kids size available at half price and the food so far has been cooked to perfection!
