This bar has a great location. It was really let down by the staff. Only 2 members of staff on duty on a hot day with a gig on at the nearby arena. Neither member of staff looked like they could be bothered and weren't exactly exerting themselves even when the queue was out the door

Lovely place, well decorated and a nice atmosphere. The gentleman who served us was knowledgeable and friendly. The place is clean and welcoming. The drink prices are reasonable for city centre prices.

Great find! Clean throughout and lovely friendly staff. Good selection of top quality food at very reasonable prices. The portion sizes were generous and we were all served quickly despite being a party of twelve.

Got a table without having to book due to how big the venue is which was great. Nice atmosphere and good music range. Bit slow on the service but we’d definitely return next time we’re in Newcastle.

We come here sometimes to have a beer or two in the sunshine and watch the world go by. Every time we come we get chatting to other customers, it's a very friendly place. Service can sometimes be a tad slow but that's a pandemic for you. I'm not sure if they are still doing food but if they are, we intend to try it over this weekend. Highly recommended this place.

I popped in here on Mon (30aug) about 8pm. I explain to the member of staff that I will be back to the bar but needed the loo... I came back to the bar and the staff member who served me was absolutely lovely and friendly. I bought a quick vodka and chilled for 20 mins before I had to catch my train. I used to visit this bar frequently 20 years ago and it has changed visually. Very nice visit, (loos were clean with the essentials)!! 5 stars the the lovely pinky blonde bespectacled member of staff. Love!

A brilliant outside seating area. Device during covid can get a bit slow at very busy periods but that is to be expected in the current circumstances. Staff were friendly and our group had 2 food night of drinking there

This is a really nice bar close to the Central Station in Times Square. Nice atmosphere. Lots of outside seating, perfect on sunny days! Lots of little cubby holes to sit in inside. Good selection of reasonably priced food and drink. Nice helpful staff.

Good place to watch the footy. Service is friendly, its a nice modern interior decor, seats are comfortable. They could do with changing the cider they have in there to thatchers gold and getting a few more ciders on tap. Location wise its pretty much right next to the train station and metro bus.

Been bear a fair few times to meet people after work. Food is fairly average and hit and miss really. Sometimes quite a lot of out of town stag and hen parties hanging around this area due to it being a route to a local hotel from the train station. On my last visit, I sat on a chair with the sharp end of some screws poking out and it was almost a trip to hospital but I managed to stop myself at the last second. It was decent for the World Cup matches and it isn't too expensive but there are plently of other bars out of Times Square that you could and should visit that have better beer and food.

Lovely atmosphere but a bit pricey. My partner and I had a glass of Shiraz that tasted as if the bottle had been open a while. This wouldn't have bothered me had it been cheaper

That was the blonde barrel...! Cool and vibrant atmosphere, staff came across real nice. Clean lou's which are a welcome bonus in newcastle, will definitely be visiting soon for a dance one evening, happy days in Newcastle-upon-Tyne!
