M. K.Beautiful environment. Very clean place. Great cuisine. Friendly staff. Great service. One suggestion: pleas allow customers to be served at table. Instead of going first to pay at the bar. Customers will feel better treated and staff will receive the tips they deserve.
J. E.Family orientated pub. Visited on a Tuesday, where it was very busy due to a special offer. Food was average, as you might expect from. Hungry Horse, but delivered quickly. Staff very attentive, wiping down tables etc. Ordered via app at table and drinks arrived within minutes or order being placed.

Staff are always super helpful and friendly, we need advice about a nut allergy. They were more then willing to help us find out, they checked and brought out the allergy list. I had a flipping burger which was delicious and it came with topped fries, which just topped it off. Good big size car park with disabled parking available. Again kids loved there food and desserts

A good place to meet with a wide selection of drinks, but no local ales on tap sadly. Well priced and with plenty of parking and a disabled friendly entrance.

J. K.Booked using the Greene King app. Usually use this pub fairly regularly but this was our first visit since it reopened after lockdown. Shown to our table by the friendly assistant manager and the new rules were explained to us. Ordered our food and drink on the app, drinks came within a couple of minutes and food within 15. Quality the same as usual. Told we only had our table 1hr 30m but could stay longer if they weren't too busy. We stayed for 1hr 45m but were never pressured to drink up. Couldn't fault it.

Absolutely beautiful steak cooked to perfection med /rare cleaned the plate, the two women with me polished off the free millionaires cheesecake leaving nothing but a chocolate stained plate behind. These were washed down with 2 coke zeros and 1 full fat lemonade. Would definitely recommend a visit.

h.Outside the pub shows it is very well maintained with ample seating outside, and lighting for evening customers. There is a ramp entrance for disabled customers however the doors to enter the premises may be a bit difficult for an unescorted disable person. They have large display boards showing their offers present and future. Inside the pub is very clean, and when I visited the staff were very diligent in ensuring empty tables were clear and clean of previous customers glasses and plates. I had a small meal that was hot and the ingredients were fresh the quality was not of a high standard of say a 5 star restaurant, but certainly not disgusting and I would grade the meal 3 out of 5 as it lacked some seasoning and plate presentation. I had a cold drink in a clean glass that was both clear and cold as expected. I also had a coffee which was hot and made from fresh ground coffee. My guest had a hot chocolate which came from a satchett which was disappointing to taste according to my guest. The staff were a mix of young and mature and were not under stress of a lot of customers at lunchtime which made me wonder why the service was slow. The staff were dressed cleanly and professional in their mannerisms showing a friendly face and voice they did lack being attentive and preferred to speak with each other than notice customers waiting. Where the pub fails is it's parking, the parking lot of the premises is ample and easy to access, but the parking notice on the wall is something all customers should be aware of. To avoid getting a parking fine from private company customers are expected to request and hold a receipt of purchase from the pub for upto 3 months I myself do not keep receipts from restaurants or public houses for 3 months and let's be honest if I had not gone out of my way to read the notice I more than likely would find myself in a position to be fined, sorry but that is a ridiculous parking notice, and staff of the pub should automatically give receipts out for every purchase which I was not offered. Therefore they lose a star. Summary a Nice clean well maintained pub not noisey, service a bit slow, meal and drinks were ok, but parking rules need a rethink. See photo for parking notice.

L. P.A good family oriented pub! Generally looks, feels and definitely smells better than most franchised pubs out there (especially compared to local competition). Hungry horse does decent food at a price that represents good value. Their quiz night on a Thursday or big sports events means you may struggle to find seating or a table. All together a good experience and I would definitely be back with family and friends!

A. H.The place is huge, and has a lovely warm and cosy interior. The tables and chairs are sprawled throughout nicely, so there's still space to move around and about when there are lots of people. I felt the food was nice and delicious, but nothing too fancy. Just right - to tie up with the ambiance and the cosy homey feel of the pub. They don't have a lot of cocktail choices (tbh i was a bit disappointed they didn't serve mojitos anymore), but all the ciders and ales were available to suit everybody's liking. Bar service was kind of slow as a queue had started to form, but staff were apologetic and kind, so it sort of makes up for it.
Overall, it's a nice place to catch up with friends and work mates to just unwind and chill.
Would like to do another work night out here, still!

G. W.Lovely friendly staff, a great example of a big chain. Just don't go for the big plates unless you can eat enough for three. Not gourmet food by any means, but for the price you can't complain.
Actually I think it's a great local that you can go to as a family and not break the bank. What's not to like. Dont go if you want local produce and fresh veg. Go if you enjoy a hearty meal with no frills. Remember those calories though.
P. D. S.It is a lively family orientated pub with a varied menu to suit most tastes. It is certainly not fine dining but does not claim to be. It suits all ages with different seating areas and customers are really made welcome

B. H.A gastro pub it is not. Cheap, cheerful and choice.
Give them a huge selection of stuff they may want and don't worry about it.
The food was alright. Not a great cut of steak. The chicken would have worked well on a squash court. The halloumi fries were all batter no cheese.
But it cost very little and was served quickly
a. i.Very friendly atmosphere, really nice helpful staff. Only problem is if you want a mixer drink such as Bacardi & coke you don't get a full glass. You have to pay extra to have your glass filled.

A. T.A hungry horse pub, but don't let that put you off, standard pub fayre, you get a decent feed for a couple of quid, daily offers and decent range of standard beers and lager. Big screen TVs for sport and a couple of pool tables and two drinking areas out front and back with ample parking. Gets very busy with diners and civil servants.

C.The Best quality pub food you can get, Thursday is our day with a free starter, the only disappointing experience is the noise from other customers and the occasional child running around, and tables being sticky from the previous sitting. Large Pub and also always packed so can be off putting sometimes.

J. R.When I first moved to Newcastle this was an old school drinkers pub. It's been tarted up in recent years and now caters for the diners as well as the boozers. Very decent beers are poured at a low end price. Super cheap it ain't quite (like one other big named joint) but it's not so far off their pace. The grub potentially can be absolutely spot on (for the price); not everything on the menu I'm sure, but give it a go. The big screen projector is without a doubt one of the better setups in the Toon, which shows sport exclusively also. There are too many children for me darting around here at times, but it is a popular family themed pub.
S. R.It was a bit of a disappointing visit, it was. spur of the moment thing for my daughter and a few friends inbetween birthday activities. Everyone wanted a special milkshake and the machines weren't working. Also took ages for anyone to notice I was waiting to be served. But what we did get was delicious.
K. S.Food is decent, beer is a little overpriced. If you want something decent order the "club sandwich" it's decent for £4.
