Went for breakfast on 10/11/21. Ordered and asked if I wanted to add black pudding onto breakfast for 79p, I said yes. My partner ordered a bacon sandwich. Waited around 15 min for food, it was really quiet as it was before midday. My food came out , eggs overdone the rest of my food was greasy and the sausages were warm and the bacon borderline. I asked for soft eggs as don't see the point in having toast without a dippy yoke. The server left me with the breakfast and went to get 2 eggs, they came in a few minutes on a plate that was swimming in grease. The server did not return and I had an issue with the black pudding as it looked undercooked and was jelly like as you can see in the photo. The beans came in a tiny ramekin and the tomato was not cooked , it was like a raw tomato. The last time I had a breakfast it was really greasy too. I had no check back and we left feeling disappointed as my partners sandwich was overdone too. I just won't go back for breakfast here again.

Always a favourite of ours to visit, especially on a Sunday and today did not disappoint! Our best visit to date. The dinners are excellent, staff lovely and amazing service. Can't wait for next Sunday!

Really fabulous evening out with family this evening. Fantastic welcome as we entered and throughout the evening nothing was too much trouble, in fact we felt like the only people in the restaurant at times. The food was piping hot, beautifully cooked and quick to the table. We all ordered the big plate specials and benefited from free starters as a Thursday deal. Very reasonably priced, would absolutely recommend. Just a shame we live 200 miles away as it could easily become a regular evening out for us. Thank you to the whole team for a lovely evening.

Came in after a long days work away from London. The staff here are first class. They helped me decide on the best meal option and after the important part of eating the grub I must say their recommendation was exactly what was needed. Plenty of meal and beverage options as well. An additional plus was when I came the pub wasn't overly busy so myself and colleagues were able to have a noise free dining experience. Thoroughly recommend this joint 👍🏾

Excellent food and the pub is running 100% covid safe. Staff wearing masks. Full explanation of the covid rules. Staff bring drinks to table and we take them off the tray. Easy app or order at the bar safely. Staff really helpful and friendly. Excellent.

I had a great lunch with my daughter. The ‘Build your own Wrap’ was very good value. The service from the friendly Laura was excellent. The service from Carol at the bar was less so. She appeared more keen to serve a group of people who were about to go on holiday than me. All but one of them had arrived at the bar after me. In the end, to avoid being ignored any any longer or having to listen to her reminiscing about Mexico, I moved around the bar to be served by someone else. Thankfully this was straight away. Overall the food and drink- plus service by Laura- were great. She should be serving at the bar- excellent customer service skills. I would recommend this pub- although it gets very lively at night and- be prepared to wait for Carol- unless you’re wearing shorts and have a suitcase.😊

We came for a family meal with friends on New Years Eve at about 4pm. It wasn't overly busy and we got our food quickly. I has fish and chips which was piping hot and delicious. The burgers and steak and ale pie looked stunning and the portion sizes were good (for the kids, too). Great value, especially if you went for the £8 deal which included a selection of menu mains and dessert. Highly recommend!

Locals pub which is great. Football on huge projected TV. Quiz at other end. Went with grandparents and kids for food. Food terrible. All pre prepared. Strange hard but in chicken korma. Mixed grill everything tastes same as done in same fryer as onion rings hence all tasted of garlic and onion rings. Coffee weak no flavour. Great locals drinking pub but avoid food. Glorified fast food but bit as good as McDonald's.

Normally spot on great staff good food .but today twisty faced woman behind bar everything was to much bother dark hair red bit in ,asked her for glasses for prosecco and she roles her eyes then another woman asked for ice in her glass you would think she had asked for a pot of gold . Normally staff are great always have been spot on but she was enough to put you off your food and drink . Also sort the toilets they are a disgrace.

Now here is an interesting place. I hadn't been in 20 years and it hasn't changed at all. I'm told that the bouncers methods are a tad on the creative side so best keep a low profile.

Food is great in here. I don't tend to go in the evenings as it is quiet rowdy at times and it feels like a ticking time bomb and you feel not at ease as there are way to many drunken people. Best to go in the daytime

Not the best experience this time, the person who took the order seemed distracted and after we checked, they had taken the order incorrectly so instead of getting the special deal on 2 big plate specials, we were charged separately for these which was an overpayment of about £5, then the steak which was ordered "very well done" arrived but still bloody, after it was returned to the kitchen, it was then cooked, but came out tough as shoe leather, had wondered if it had beeb microwaved to finish it off! So a special treat for a 60th birthday proved to be memorable but not for the right reasons for our party of six.
