Some good real ales. Now that all covid restrictions are finished it good to see that the County has got some of it's atmosphere back. However if you don't like it to busy the outside area is a great addition there's a couple of outdoor heaters and plenty of seating the outside area is also covered if the weather gets a bit wet

Due to Covid19 i stayed outdoors but its a lively pub and the best Gin Bar around if the lovely, takented Irish barmaid is still serving. Who know, i wasn't inside but i did get a nice evening picture along with my bottled coke

Stayed an hour. Great prices, very nice to look at and a nice patio area with parasols in the center of circular tables but at times there is restricted parking. They sometimes put removable fences up to block some of the spaces for important guests/meetings. Edit: The owner replied to the original review and explained that due to people using the spaces for street parking; and at times parking there for days they have had to restrict parking.

Good drinkers pub. No children!! Has quite recently undergone refurbishment too. Outside seating is a nice addition when the sun shines. Good selection of beers. I went on Saturday afternoon and returned on the evening after work. My only criticism: the Stella Artois wasn't anywhere near cold oddly enough, however on my return visit I switched to John Smith's and this was spot on (and cheap too).

The County is a great little pub on Gosforth High Street in Newcastle upon Tyne. Happy friendly staff with a great personality. Good pint 🍻 of larger. Would recommend this bar to anyone who fancy a drink in the Gosforth area of Newcastle. 😉

I have been only a occasional visitor over far too many years, but The County is always my first choice in Gosforth. It is real pub, good beer and great selection of drinks, fab atmosphere, good staff and the customers are not too bad either 🤭.

By far It's the best bar on Gosforth high street. Average prices, good atmosphere. The only down side we where in the County on Saturday 28th September. Called in for a few and all the years we have been going we have never come across a childs birthday party. Very disappointed. Never knew Children were allowed in the bar.

The County is a gosforth institution, traditional decor - stain glass windows and old school bar, beer garden, various snugs and a fine selection of beers, ales, ciders, gins, etc. Theres tv screens here showing rugby matches and football sometimes but usually on mute or low volume so punters can enjoy a chat. Its quality.
