Nice pub; clean, good prices but the lasagna was a disappointment. It had a nice flavor but the pasta had turned to gooey glue like texture. Perhaps a better quality pasta would hold up better during the re-heating before serving. I would not recommend. Hubby had a nice beef and mushroom pie with a nice flaky crust.

Nice cocktails and shot options. Friendly and helpful bar staff. The toilets were also very clean and no que. The atmosphere of the place however seemed very suited towards an older crowd however and not a younger more lively audience. Something to watch out for if you were intending to make this place a pit stop for a night on the town.

Lovely food and service as always just a shame it was ruined by the clientele. Loud rude and obnoxious but that is a typical Saturday night in town not a fault of the pub. All round a good night

After posting this review. Happy to report, the manager took full responsibility and instituted changes. Much improved well done. Have been visiting for pre and post match drinks for over 20 years. Always drink downstairs. The service has always been good considering its always packed on match days. However after the recent takeover and new management. The service and attitude of staff is shocking. Waiting to be served at the far end of the bar, person in front served. The server walked away and started serving in a different area. After waiting 20 minutes and requesting two different members of staff who were picking glasses. They totally ignored me not even replying. I then asked if anyone serving at this end. I was told no that areas closed. I said it would have been nice to be informed. I was told "I'm telling you now"!

Fantastic atmosphere. Check in was fast and efficient, all current guidelines explained perfectly clear. The young lad Called Ryan made our experience all the more better. Great food and great breakfast which is what I went for, they only put tomato sauce out and didn't get asked if I wanted brown so settled for tomato. They seem to get their ingredients locally which probably explains why the food is good, well thick bacon and runny eggs. My only gripe is your better off buying a coffee and a breakfast sandwich than just getting a coffee as its only around an extra 50p, so the coffee seems costly in that respect.

It is a good pub no doubt about it with reasonably priced drinks and warm inside in the winter thankfully. Not had any food but it always looks and smells good. Language from some of the regulars at lunchtime can be a little OTT although that is pretty much the norm. now in bars unfortunately. Mens toilets spot on. Only complaint i can think of is the banging noise the north door makes everytime someone goes in and out apart from that its 4/5 stars from me.

This has to be the best pub in Newcastle by a mile. Always go there when I'm in Newcastle. Staff are brilliant, and always a good atmosphere. On Match days, away fans are always welcome without any aggro from home team supporters. I would recommend this pub to anybody thinking of going for a night out in Newcastle. The food is excellent too. Looking forward to my next trip to the city just so I can call in, and have a good pint at a reasonable price. Keep up the great work.

We went recently for some tea and drinks on a Friday night. The service was really fast considering they were quite busy. Mac n Cheese with meatballs on top is lovely, as are the chicken wings and the sausage bites. All fairly priced too. Would definitely go back.

The Three Bulls Heads is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere. The Staff are extremely friendly, approachable and accomdating to all reuqests. The social distancing was a breeze, much better than other pubs I have visited recently. A special mention to Ryan who went the extra mile to ensure our table was looked after all evening, will return for sure!

A great place to watch the football (Newcastle United in particular) and the good was great. We went on a Monday night to watch the game on TV . I ended up having food and Monday is big portion night, the menu showed a pic of a well stacked (almost comical) burger so I opted for this thinking it would be nothing like the pic.... How wrong I was! It was delicious but it had to be disected to be consumed. Oh and also it's one of the cheapest pints you will find in Newcastle city center! An excellent experience, well recommend 😎🖖

Visited the upstairs lounge in the Three Bulls Heads on Sunday with three friends celebrating a 70th Birthday. We all had a very pleasant few hours helped by the very helpful/polite staff (Sam and Alicia). The whole experience will bring us back again, finding the central Newcastle pub really clean, warm and comfortable. The Sunday lunch purchased was pork and turkey which we all voiced was one of the best prepared/presented roasts that we had all had in a pub. The kitchen staff served a meal that was of the highest quality well done. All this was accompanied by delicious pints of Bitter and Guinness (x3) and entertainment on the TV screens. This establishment was made all the better for its close proximity to Haymarket bus station and the use of OAP bus passes 😄. A must visit for the gentler folk of the North East!

I love the 3 Bulls , but i have 1 critisisim that when we were showed to our table it was right in a corner next to the toilets ,on asking could we possibly move to another two tables i was told they were already booked ... I found that a bit odd as they were empty & noone fequented them until about 20mins lata !!... Surley they could have allowed us to move into one if them ...Especially when i noticed that the two lads that sat at them were only there for 10mins & we were there for a hr & a half ... We felt as though if u were wanting to watch football well they would accomodate u ,which seemed to be the case ... However we were still there after most people had drifted off ... Otherwise i've always enjoyed this pub ,if a table is empty u shud be able to choose where to sit regardless ,all they needed to do was move the papervwith your name on it

Cracking little pub ideally located opposite the bus station! visited here quite a few times now when visiting from Durham! very quick from ordering food to it being put in front of you. Very friendly staff, had some great banter in here over the years with the locals as I am a Sunderland supporter but it's always been light hearted banter and that's how it should be.

A nice place to have a drink and a cheap meal, have not eaten there myself but the food I see and smell looks good, would stay well clear of this place on match day as its one of the go to bars for Newcastle home support, the place is jam packed on match day but the staff are good at handling the numbers and quick to serve everyone, disabled access on the bottom floor not to sure about an elevator access to the top floor, toilets are maintained and kept to a clean standard, a friendly place to have a drink and food, also shows most of the sports

Located on Percy Street smack in the center of toon (town for non Geordie folk) a quintessential north east pub. Cheap food, cheap beer, a good starting point for any night out. Located directly opposite the Haymarket bus station its handy when getting a bus home at the end of the night. There are 5 pubs along Percy Street, (The Crows Nest, The Hotspur, The Percy, Three Bulls and The Goose (good for breakfast). The three bulls is a friendly pub, it does get very busy at weekends and match days (but which don't), worth including on any tour (pub crawl etc.) of the toon.
