Reviews of The Man in the Moon
T. B.
Seems to be a sympathetic renovation to the history of the building, lovely.
Quite a few young men behind the bar/waiting tables that were happy, polite and helpful 👍
We only had coffee but the customers having food seemed content, a pleasant visit.
E. W.
Your standard Wetherspoon's featuring what you'd expect, however this one is located inside a beautiful old gospel church with stained glass windows and a great carpet to match! Clean, tidy, spacious, and good pub grub and drinks at great prices. Friendly staff too.
N. B.
Nice pub. We always come back here when we visit the island.
Staff and beer are also very good here!
T. H.
Was staying nearby on holiday (2021) and as the breakfast in our hotel was garbage we decided to come and try this spoons. The portions were amazing for the price we paid and we loved the food.
Place was quite busy in the evening, but much quieter in the morning (especially for a weekend) we mostly had the place to ourselves.
The pub is in an old church and, despite it being a spoons, does look quite nice inside with its arched roof and church windows.
M. B.
One of the best value for money venues on the Island. Excellent efficient, friendly service. Good selection of drinks. Excellent varied food menu. Main building very special being a former chapel. Ideal for a relaxing social catch up or solo visit. 👍
Recent Visit, 26/11/22. Totally all of the above. Brilliant Management Luke, Toby and Lottie. Brilliant Staff Sabrina, Richard, Dan, Josh and certain other team. Your quality, thank you all x 😉👍
Z. W.
Went in for lunch, very nice building and interior with lots of tables. Got the food fast and enjoyed a very nice tikka masala. But yet again, it's a Wetherspoons, it's nothing special.
V. G.
Nice and lovely and in a fact not so busy on Thursday ☺️so it's more peaceful for regular dinner out during week days ☺️
A. S.
Not a bad spoons, usual Curry Club fare, wasn't too busy. Great building an old church.
T. M.
The nicest Wetherspoons I have been in. Service was great, and excellent value for money.
b. r.
I've been in many Wetherspoons, this has been one on the best. Usual food but in good condition. Ales very good. Slick service in a busy time. Clean and tidy throughout, even the loos! Well done.
S. Q.
Nice atmosphere, nice place, drinks and food. However... I have always been here in a large group and once you spend around £400+ on drinks, they ask you to leave. That doesn't go very far between 13 people.
E. O.
The food was quick and tasted amazing! They have a nice selection of food and drinks too. The only thing was that you had to order on your phone using a QR code which was a bit annoying. Other than that, I'd give 5 stars. The staff were good too.
D. S.
Usual Spoons great value and fair quality food and drinks. This one is worth a visit just to admire the architecture!
K. L.
It's a Weatherspoons. As always they have taken an old building and beautifully brought it back to life. The food is as it is in all Weatherspoons - good quality very affordable. Assorted breakfasts for 4 with drinks £20. Staff were busy but still kept smiling and were polite and helpful.
S. b.
Food excellent value for money and the service was top notch even when busy. Lovely old church converted to a impressive venue. Recommended.
S. B.
This pub is a converted church, Great value for money, good atmosphere.
S. O.
I like this place it is extremely good value for money there is a large and varied menu and a vast array of beverages to choose from both alcoholic and non alcoholic. There are clean and well maintained toilets and the venue is accessible for disabled customers. The venue is fairly large with plenty of tables available. There is an outside area for eating and a smokers area.
I have always found the staff to be helpful and courteous. This venue will get busy at mealtimes and weekends but the service is generally quite quick. You can now order using their own app which is easy to use.
Well worth a visit.
P. C.
I've been here a few times, perhaps I caught it on a bad day, thought I'd try the all day breakfast brunch.
Big mistake, after a couple of bites I realised I was eating the vegetarian option. I told a girl who eas serving that it wasn't what I ordered, she questioned Mr and suggested it was my mistake.
I told the guy at the bar and he thought I'd ordered a vegan option. Five mins later I recieved a sad looking sausage and slice of bacon....
T.
What you'd get from typical spoons and portion size really need to improve. This branch is quite spacious with a lot of capacity, staff are courteous, website works well with no misleading price discrepancies when vs the physical menu (as experienced in other Wetherspoon branches)
V. B.
Wetherspoon has always been my life saver being a vegetarian and a beer lover. And the Man in the Moon is no exception. Really spacious place, indoor, outdoor, balcony seating available. The service is good and quick. The prices when compared with my regular London outlets was too good.
Surely recommended!
V. G.
It was a quick visit, the first time in there, a great selection of ales and spirits. It was good to see people chilling, playing cards....
J. S.
Usually decent, but the last pizza I had fell apart in my hands. Incredibly messy and awkward to eat.
G. C.
Good beer at good prices. Simple food served quickly. They forgot the rocket from my spicy meat feast pizza, but by the time they came back we had eaten it. Never mind. We'll be back.
M. M. S.
Had food here for a family lunch the food wasn't pippin hot like expected but we couldn't be bothered to wait 20 minutes for another one to be cooked as they were very busy with festival goers and i didn't want to wait any longer.
J. F.
Great service and very spacious. If you're looking for cheap delicious deals, this is where you'd wanna be!
s. m.
Perfect place. Something for everyone. Plenty of seating. Clean tidy. Friendly staff. Ordering to the table saved a lot of hassle. Really enjoyed our meal there
A. T.
Don’t expect a 5star meal here but it’s ok, respectable reasonable price for average food. The setting is an old church which is lovely and the staff were extremely busy, but still managed to be very friendly and cleared tables very quickly. Staff are a real credit to the company
T. T.
More bar staff needed long wait just to get a pint but nice atmosphere. Long walk to the mens toilet.
T. S.
This is possible the smartest and most impressive Weatherspoons that I have visited, and I have visited rather a lot. It is a beautiful building with so much character and style. It is an old converted church that is very neatly converted to a restaurant. It is spacious and smart construction that works well. As always, the cost of food and drink bring you to a Weatherspoons and they are often very full, it's the cost that makes me visit.
S. P.
Good food, lovely garden, polite and pleasant staff. I highly recommend it😊
R. K.
I had breakfast and dinner yesterday there, everything was good.
K. H.
Pretty standard for a wetherspoons,
High notes would be the building itself and the staff,
Strange that upstairs is closed so all customers were split between two moderately sized rooms,
Unfortunately seemingly understaffed, plenty of tables left uncleared, however present staff were very attentive and helpful, especially the nice chap in the waistcoat.
Could do with more staff and signage on stairs and doors stating what portions of the pub are open/serving food in.
S. P.
Probably the best Wetherspoons pub in the country. The building is a combination of a former church and an old club/fun pub. We've ordered meals and drinks through the Wetherspoons app and the service has always been very good. The meals are also really good and great value.
L. B.
Very nice and pleasant surroundings! Nice to see table cleaning taking place between visiting customers. Food portion size was good too !!
A. M.
Well it's a Wetherspoon pub so you know what to expect i.e. price - u - like prices and a large selection of drinks. For a change this one isn't a converted bank but a church with seating upstairs and downstairs.. Very large lunchtime congregation drinking and eating though very fast service at the bar. Some seating outside. Pint of Heineken £3.00
K. B.
Excellent food. Lovely atmosphere. Great service.
R.
Very quick food service with good quality. Great range of drinks as you'd expect.
D. B.
Food was lovely service really good but plates were cold so food soon started to cool. Usually wethespoons plates are really hot
m. c.
Very good as always and fair play the prices are being held -of drink with an unnoticeable increase in meal costs.Well done J.D.W.
S. B.
Went there for a birthday party, staff were happy for us to push tables together for the size of the group. Ordered online from the table, food good and very reasonably priced. A good basic end restaurant that's excellent for taking the family too, based in an old church with a great character
P. Z.
Yes had a drink polite and friendly staff getting tired requires a referb seats people have written there names on them not a very good image.
M. E.
Visited The Man in the Moon owing to an excellent menu for both food and drink and it appeared a nice location in the heart of the Isle of Wight town centre, Newport.
Lovely outdoor gardens and also a vast range of seating to choose from inside the venue, both upstairs and downstairs. Toilets were clean and pleasant.
Some of the tables were dirty unfortunately and the carpet was both very grubby and worn. I did however locate the drinking water station and I must commend the partnership with Refill.org helping to reduce plastic waste at the Wetherspoons location (also accessible on the REFILL app).
Our experience is rated three stars because we ordered a single cocktail through the app at 16:58 to our table, using the locator on it. We then sat and waited, for it to arrive at approximately 17:12 which was almost 15 minutes after ordering. I would understand a delay like this if it were a food order/large drinks order, but for a single cocktail this seemed excessive.
We didn't receive an apology for the delay, but I identified the cause of it myself, and it was what appeared to be the bar staff making a large batch of drinks orders in one go, and then choosing to bring them over to each table simultaneously. After our drink was delivered, we saw them proceed to at least two more tables. I don't think this approach is entirely efficient for the customer (it is for the staff who only have to walk around once) but it was a long wait for one drink.
Gin-ting drink was fruity and fresh, served with ice and slice of fruit, it was very nice.
Good location overall and would recommend to others, and visit again, but poor service through using the app to order. Perhaps will use the bar next time as the drink is made in front of you and then you can take it to your own table.
N. W.
By far my favourite Wetherspoons! Food & drink are that same familiar quality, atmosphere is great and the building itself is amazing!
N. H.
Food and drinks here are always enjoyable and I've always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. The pub itself is always clean and ladies toilets are immaculate. Nice and convenient spot to have a drink and bite to eat.
M. T.
Fantastic beer selection, in very good condition. Great staff, good priced food.
A. R.
Quick service. Lovely building. Good value food which was delicious.
R. M.
I remember when this was first opened: nice, tidy, luminous with fresh paint. It is a pity, because the location is really beautiful but it is very run down nowadays.. More thanks to the clientele than the people working in there unfortunately. I'd wish customers were a bit more civilised, instead of being greasy as usual: upholstery is stained, the paint on the walls has seen better days ... It doesn't look as fancy as it used to, in just a few years.
But food is nice and cheap, so always an option for an easy night out.
D. B.
Typical 'spoons, but set in an old church in the middle of town. Good food and very reasonable prices, nice atmosphere.
A. M.
Beautiful church made into a Wethspoons.
Roomy place, clean.
Lovely old church window.
Staff nice
s. o.
Great building, usual Wetherspoon experience so no complaints. Keep up the good work.
L. O.
Only popped in for a quick drink had to ask for our table to be cleared didn't stop for long.
b. c.
Clean and friendly with food that arrives roughly 15 mins after ordering, perfect
P. E.
It's spoons, lovely setting in an old church, decent beer and we'll priced food.
M. L.
Good standard pub with all standard fare that you would expect from a good modern pub. The venue is a renovated Chapel done in a loving way which uses the original features and makes best uses of the space available
C. T.
Inexpensive and well cooked and presented breakfast. Less than £6 for a Traditional breakfast and coffee.
J. T.
In summer is my fave Wetherspoons i have been in.
As love the outside bit,tho a shame smokers ruin my tastebuds!
G. U.
Really good and efficiently served breakfast. Would come again surely
D.
Nice pub although unusual that it was a church, but good food and drink at reasonable price, with friendly staff
D. G.
It's a Wetherspoons so you know exactly what you'll be getting but the location is fantastic. It's just out of the centre of Newport and is set in an old church which is the most stunning of buildings. Worth a visit.
s.
Next time, I'm in Newport, I'll be going to the Man in the Moon again for lunch. It was lovely. Service was good, food was good, and the atmosphere was nice.
L.
It's Spoons! You know what your getting. But set in an old church which does give the venue a unusual feel.
B. S.
İ consıder myself above a Weather-spoons, but thıs ıs a nıce öne. Told buddıes that ıt'll be rough and a bıt fıghty, but 'twasn't. We went back.
C. D.
Standard Wetherspoons in a fantastic building
A. A.
Stunning location!!!
If you are in Newport and looking for a pub you can't loose this Weterspoon.
Food is nice, good balance price/quality, as all Weterspoon.
A. M.
Built in an old church, The ambience here is really cool. There are many beers to choose from. And the food, while not amazing, was pretty tasty and super cheap!
D. M.
Another good evening here. Drinks and food ordered on the app and delivered promptly, good value food as always. Thumbs up from me 👍🏻
J. T.
As usual, excellent value for money and a lovely place to have a drink and a chat.
Love Wetherspoons.
s. m.
It's spoons!
Does what you expect.. def recommend using the app, faster than a queue at the bar...
R. W.
Yet another nice building saved and converted to a nice pub keeping original features. Staff friendly too.
M.
The price of the food was great and tasted good. Want happy with having a dirty glass/cutlery though, made me question the cleanliness!
G. M.
Typical Spoons pub. Good food and beer. Service was excellant, we did not have the app to order and waiters were very attentive when we ordered and wanted more beer.
P. W.
The most amazing setting and great staff. Great service in an awesome setting, excellent value for money. Wish this was my local Spoons! Fantastic.
P. F.
Nice place, great staff & usual good food & drink at usual Wetherspoons prices.
l. n.
Me and my fiancé go here a lot , really good food and drinks.
a. w.
Well what a fantastic location.. a old church turned into a wetherspoon it has great character .with all the bonus off having great prices on food & drinks .
j. w.
Ideal for what we wanted. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was fine.
B. B.
Amazing decoration in this pub and plenty of original features.
Prompt service of food and drink
T. K.
Best Witherspoon's I've been to and I've been to a few good value ,great staff ,big meals really good ,thankyou
T. G. B.
Good clean relaxing place to be decent prices for drinks A decent pint of real ale under 3 pounds
P. S.
This is a great building for a Spoons. Great value for money as you would expect. Quick service. The only thing I would say and the reason I have given 4 stars is due to quite a few dirty tables when entering; when trying to find a table we had to move some glasses to another dirty table to free ours.
A. A.
Fantastic,
Friendly and helpful staff,
Fast service,
Good quality and excellent value for money.
E. B.
It's a standard spoons, staff was friendly. I liked how the place had an outdoor smoking and non smoking area though the wheather wasn't great out. . . After the 4th or 5th time I went, it hasn't changed. Good place
J. M.
Great service, good breakfast, and a great setting for a wetherspoons
T. G.
Always enjoy eating and drinking here, very friendly service
C. P.
Fast service clean and good food. Can't beat a wetherspoons
T. W.
Good pub and reasonable prices for drink and food.
J. J.
A beautiful and unique wetherspoons, great service and gorgeous surroundings. Surrounded by plenty of parking too!
G. S.
The food and the atmosphere plus excellent beers and wines coupled with very helpful staff. Also a superb breakfast is available from 9-11.30 am . Did I say the prices and menu option are terrific!
P. H.
I had a good service and good price for stela. An enjoyable experience
C. H.
Great friendly and clean weather spoons. Best one we have ever been to.
D. R.
Not one of the best whetherspoons
Not a good atmosphere
But our food was fine
C.
Typical Weatherspoons but a bit more upmarket as it's in a refurbished chuch, only had time for a quick visit but the food looked good.
G. B.
Love this Wetherspoons. Recommended. Friendly staff and decent prices.
S. M.
Oh wow this place is definitely in my top 2 for wetherspoons. We came here on a weekend away and only managed to get here on Sunday evening about 21:30 (9:30pm)
It was quiet as you might expect for that time and day but the staff were friendly enough and food was delicious as expected.
This is set in an old church by the looks of it and bear in mind I didn't go anywhere other than the main seating area the atmosphere was fantastic. There is a more modern section as well but I didn't see that myself.
My partner went to the loo and as expected of a Wetherspoons it is up a few flights of stairs but they were very nice in there apparently!
B. J.
The best thing about Wetherspoons is you know what you're getting before you sit down. And the raspberry lemonade....
S.
Absolutely loved it! Great atmosphere and brilliant service. Food was tasty!
t.
Delicious food, laid back atmosphere, anytime again. 😁👍🍻
R. E.
Lovely setting in old chapel usual Wetherspoons refinements and elevated hospitality
S. Y.
Another great pub Wetherspoons an old church beautiful great beers and food.
F. C.
Lovely pub, great staff, super friendly and helpful.
B. C.
Very convenient when you order your food, you do on the app then they thing the food to your table.
D. H.
Nice weatherspoons think it used to be an old church from the outside
Warm clean nice beer 🍺
J. “. C.
Foods great atmosphere is even better and the setting "in a renovated Church" is the best
m. g.
Tasty breakfast by the real fire set me up for my days walking
D. H.
A nice Wetherspoons all in, sometimes a little smelly with beer and the occasional sticky table but a decent atmosphere and traditional good Wetherspoons value for money.
M. B.
1000% brillant bang on cracking pub excellant boozer good staff nice place to go on I o W cheers mick nottm
j. l.
Lunch in church. The pub is an ex, church great food helpful staff
H.
The cocktails was amazing but the food wasnt that good here when i went, i dont know why but everything tasted really weak and cheap it was weird. But overall definitely visiting this place again for drinks
P. K. Z.
Yes was OK very helpful staff went the extra mile
S. H.
Went with my son an daughter an they both loved it, the staff were friendly and helpful as well
A. A.
This is the place to be ..in this town....as well seated eatting areas... plenty of choices of beers..wines..teas and etc to choose from and a very good around choice of menu
T. D.
Excellent wetherspoon pub, friendly staff, glad we went, well worth going to.
C. W.
Seen this place transform from an abandoned Church to a Weatherspoons over the years. Great food at Great Prices. Friendly Staff and an atmosphere that makes you want to return every visit to the Island
P. R.
Great food, great service, excellent value for money
D. P.
Very nice pub nice drink of doom bar Very nice bar staff
S. D.
Fantastic meal great value and efficient service
M. B.
Lovely quirky pub in an old church. Can't go wrong with Weatherspoons prices
P. G.
Really nice Wetherspoons pub. Great selection of beers
T. H.
Cocktails were mostly out of stock. Service was quite quick for food and drinks. Ordered 3 small plates for 10.99, which was a bargain and quite tasty. Cocktails were overly sickly sweet so probably would only recommend to those with an extremely sweet tooth.
J. T.
Good food. Clean loos. Quick service. Nice atmosphere. Friendly welcome.
M. H.
Clean, friendly staff, food good too
s. r.
food good drinks cheaper than anywhere else...
T. N.
Beautiful building good beer very nice staff.
B. T.
This is very good Spoons, a converted Church. 😁👍
P. J.
Nice place to have food, great service
H. R.
Lovely place to eat. Decor in side is amazing. Food was well cooked and didn't have to wait long. Could order at bar or table via app. Very easy. Lovely service.
S. M.
Well laid and efficient Wetherspoons in a beautiful Victorian church
E. L.
Spoons is spoons, but its a nice one at that.
Upstairs doesn't even feel like I'm in a spoons.Clean toilets and the occasional wait for a while when its busy.
N. B.
Breakfast was cold....perhaps because we were upstairs?
J. R.
The staff do great considering the workload they have. Cheap drinks and decent food.
P. C.
A good example of a Wetherspoons pub slightly marred by evidence of ketchup splashes on the ceiling
R. W.
Food delicious. Building impressive. Staff helpful and very polite. Especially the young boy in the white shift who served us. Sorry we didn't catch his name.
Will definatly be back!
O.
Fast service, reasonable prices, perfect location. Amazing they work on Sunday late in the area for a late dinner!
ö. s.
I and my husband had a Sunday brunch 3 weeks ago. Not expensive but delicious. Breakfast dish is big enough to make you feel full but you can have more sausages or more coffee/tea, for free. They have also 2 outside sitting areas, one of them is non-smoking. The atmosphere is amazing because it was an old church before it is converted into pub🙃
V. M.
Very good beers at this Wetherspoons pub.
Great conversion of a gothic church.
C. S.
Food and drinks were served quickly, no complaints there. Building was lovely and very well decorated. We will be back during our next visit to the island.
S. W.
Great Food at a good price. Great selection from Breakfasts to Dinner, Light snacks to main meals. All at a fair price, friendly and helpful staff. Also have selection of alternative milk and food
B. L.
Despite being a busy Friday night, we found a table and were served food. The food was good, and staff were friendly despite their busy night. Only negative was that the bar service was running a bit behind. Our food came before our drinks
S. W.
A beautiful Wetherspoons. Up there with several of the best. Building is magnificent and a roaring open fire. What more could you want after Storm Eunice!
m. g.
To be honest I just popped in to grab a drink just so I could have a look inside the building. A weatherspoons in a converted church? Yes please 😆 standard weatherspoons to be honest, sticky tables to be had whilst surrounded by the local day drinkers. Worth a look inside anyways.
K. F.
Food was really nice, could have been a few more chips. Had chicken panini, chicken wrap and halloumi wrap, all really nice. Had branded drinks and all nice and good priced. Lady waiting table was did-isterested, came to serve and said wrap? Asked which one and she didn't know just shrugged. Guy serving drinks good, he ended up clearing table. Not sure if it's one eprpsns job to clear n one for drinks etc but they weren't cleared for ages and he had been round a few times so had seen they were empty. Not bad enough to stop going to spoons, service could just be a little better
l. b.
Nice clean pub lovely pint food was OK shame that you can't have a starter before you have your main like you can on the main land all the food come out at the same time and overwhelmed the table spoiled my time in what is normally a good pub chain
C. M.
Staff worked their proverbial off during the crazy busy Festival weekend.
Cheap gin and tonic and huge breakfast... What else do you need at the festival weekend
B. B.
I'm going to give them all 5 stars. 9 of us arrived and it was busy. They made us very welcome and put in a lot of effort to put tables together. The service was excellent and the food was great!
A. G.
Nice pub. Clean, tidy and spacious
N. B. N. B.
Very big pub plenty of space and good priced cask beers. Good beer guide 2022. Lots of people eating.
M. A.
Nice happy place to go to! The pizzas are amazing and so are the nachos 🤩
J. B.
Amazing building, great decor, lovely staff, drinks all good - food typical Weatherspoon's fare.
T. K.
Excellent food, polite staff and fantastic setting, old church converted to a weatherspoons... Love it!
H.
Being in the centre of town this place is always very busy, meaning you sometimes have to wait for a table, but the wait is never very long.
The food here is generally good, with a nice selection of meals available. However The main area of tables down stairs is dark and often crowded. Upstairs is a lot more open and brighter, also a lot quieter upstairs to down stairs. There are also two nice outdoor seating areas with easy access
T. J.
Decent meal and drink at affordable price
P. S.
A bit weird go to church for breakfast or other meal. Otherwise good experience. Good food, friendly staff
K. M.
First time have used an app to order drinks and food got everything we ordered ( my kids will be impressed ) service was good meal nice enjoyed my visit.
M. F.
Another great spoons. Cheap food and drink. What more do you want 🍺🍺🍺
_.
Adequate venue. You have to walk through smelly smokers to get in. It's a pleasant building and the staff were professional and well presented. It was also tidier than many Wetherspoons but it was fairly quiet when we were there. On the downside, the portions were below average and the food wasn't cooked quite as well as in other branches.
P. K.
Waiting staff pleasant and efficient food was good and fair priced
M. J. B.
Prices very reasonable. Family of five for less than £40 including drinks. Food arrived promptly and with a smile. Very pleased with the visit.
H. R.
Very spacious pub, the staff were quick with orders but very young and unexperienced staff. Often looked lost 😂
J. H.
Good food clean place fair price . Nice one Tim
M. H.
Enjoyed visiting here, managed to get in using a wheelchair, and with all of these chain pubs toilets are spacious and accessible. Went in for their beer as know they have local ale and reasonable prices, but also enjoyed the food. Good place to while away some time, and left having got into conversations with locals which is the sign of a good friendly establishment.
j. g.
The cider they served was off but the bar man at first would not change it until my husband had a not so quiet word. A side order was not fetched until it was ordered again half way through our meal. Not the best weatherspoons we have visited but the building was stunning
J. C.
Great customer service n food
J. C. #.
Great atmosphere, lovely select on beers. Ales and stouts.
Caramel Stout is absolutely amazing, definitely try a pint 🍻.
Food was tasty, maybe not a big meal but the price probably gives that away at £7.99 ultimate burger meal and a pint, so don't expect a big belly busting meal.
My only moan was 14 of us eating and the 2 burger meals came out 10 minutes after the rest of the groups meals.
But otherwise great evening out and nice cheap drinks.
L. W.
Nice place called in while we were on holiday
m. b.
Nice gardens for summer. Clean inside. Getting served is always so slow every time i visit, needs sorting main complaint i here about the place. Menu ok but lot been dropped off it and pizzas been added really fast food used to be a good place to eat proper food.
Z. S.
Food was lovely, speed of food was fantastic. Just a shame it took half an hour to get drinks. When you tried mentioning it to staff all they did was shrug and said the bar is on it. We had eaten and still no drinks, so cancelled the order and left
C. D.
Only popped in for a quick drink. Bar service was fine. Lovely atmosphere
E. C.
an English classic! the environment has that typical English pub feeling we all love! (not dirty or unclean at all though!) the staff is so incredibly nice and friendly, and service is very fast! the toilets are surprisingly clean as well ahaha
serving sizes are huge for the price and, obviously, the food is delicious! the currys are amazing! I was very positively impressed by the fact that I was able to bring my own meal when my group of friends were ordering a meal there, as lately I've been having reactions to lots of stuff, and they were super cool about it!
K. G.
Tables, seating, walls, and the picture on the wall were all filthy - like really dirty! Chips arrived stone cold. But waiter was great, friendly and offered us a drink in compensation for the chips.
R. T.
Great choice of beers, staff efficient and friendly, hot food very good, and didn't wait long. A very interesting venue
L. M.
What can you say about a Wetherspoons establishment apart from the brand. Well the pub is in a old church and has been well thought out. There is a decent sized bar with plenty of seating across two floors. The toilets (important place here) are upstairs.
The drink selection is vast with something for every taste including guest ales. The food isn't too bad nor is it expensive. Overall a good place to start or finish a night or even a stop in between.
B. B.
Usual Wetherspoon's fare, I thought I could order ribs but no alas, so good old fish and chips lovely as usual good local beers, wife had panini and cup of tea ok.
D. B.
Beautiful place to have a drink, nice and clean staff cleaning tables straight away, and very friendly staff
Z. R.
The pub is quite large and spacious, there is plenty of space for large groups of people. The drinks are priced well, they are not too expensive. The more packed it gets the louder it becomes so at that time I do not think it would be suitable for younger children.
s. b.
Absolutely fabulous place/setting the staff could not do enough for us and the food as always was topnotch ??go back you bet
E. F.
Really delicious and affordable food and drinks!
I often go here with my grandparents, they are usually very quick with the food, but sometimes when they are busy you tend to have a longer waiting time.
Best to be early!
M. H.
Great wetherspoons with lots of old features
S. H.
Always a lovely place for a catch up with friends. Cheap and cheerful and you get what you pay for
R. G.
Generally good value and atmosphere. Cheaper drinks than local public houses.
Food deals great and different daily.
Unfortunately, today bad language being frequently used by young male day time drinkers that is off putting.
Would not like to bring my Mum here. !!!😧
h. h.
This converted church is a Beautiful and unique venue !! One of the best places to eat in the island as well. The menu has improved to include various vegan options which is fab! The staff are very polite and welcoming .We love wetherspoons!
M. S.
Beautiful renovation of an old church which has retained a lot of original features. Quick service and good value for money. Large venue over 2 floors and outside areas. £1.50 for a hot drink with free refills! Right in the heart of Newport.
P. C.
Great food ordered on the app straight to the table. Staff were friendly and prompt. Good atmos all round.
M. J.
Great value drinks, great value food, awesome breakfasts. So of course it's usually very busy!
I. S.
The food was incredible and I can get a bit fussy with food but this was better than I had thought it would be. I recommend this restaurant. Amazing👍
R. T.
Really large church turned into a traditional Weatherspoons. Great features retained gives the place a different look.
As with all Weatherspoons the value for money is incredible. Very warm and friendly staff team. Good, hot, well cooked food and very quick serving. Free refills for coffee /hot drink with your meal bonus.
And now you can try the free app and order your food / drinks from your phone and have it delivered in minutes instead of queuing. Very clean tables and facilities. We'll worth a visit.
S. L.
Amazing conversion, also with nice outdoor spaces
G. H.
Food is fine for what you pay, staff seem friendly enough. But it is about time the seating upholstery was changed or cleaned as we had to move several times because the seating was filthy. I appreciate it is busy most of the time but what sort of bacteria is living in the upholstery? If they get this sorted and a lick of paint around the place this would improve it a lot.
D. T.
Very good food and friendly service
n. D.
Had s great Sunday morning breakfast outside in a brilliant g non smoking garden
D. H.
Very nice and friendly and warm
T. P.
Had breakfast while a bit early for the ferry - clean, tidy, and the staff were friendly!
Food and coffee were Wetherspoons standard fare - you know what to expect and it tastes good! :)
Imagine it gets a lot busier at peak times!
G. K.
Very nice place a bit over priced food nice but not hot as I have found with 90% of weatherspoons. I wish all weatherspoons would server hot food I do like a weatherspoons. Need to find an alternative.
I. O.
Pretty much standard Wetherspoon stuff but they did have San Francisco IPA from Conwy Brewery, North Wales on draught which I think is pretty f**king amazing so Iechyd Da to that!
P. B.
Nice use of a old church'lovely old decor very good and fast staff working well as a team can't fault anything
B. H.
Standard Wetherspoons. Don't know if it's the same every where over here but £2.75 for a pint of Thatcher's is a bargain 👍😎🍺
S. B.
Good food for a very reasonable price, lovely atmosphere in an old church building, fast service and friendly staff
J. M.
Good food and consistent with Wetherspoons quality.
D. N.
Went with friends for breakfast. Was very busy had to queue to order only 2 people manning the tills. When food ordered had to wait a further 50 minutes before it was delivered and was only like warm. Made most of the free coffee refills.
Note. This outlet was part of the Isle of Wight Buses, Beer & Walks Weekend event, which would explain some of the delays encountered.
R. W.
Great food, great value as always in
Wetherspoons. We watched punters Ignoring the "Wait here to be seated" sign, do this at your peril, the door girl will find you and she will make you aware of the error of your ways. **Fill in the form people** Else what's the point of track and trace.
J. P.
Quick service, very clean, good food, lovely location and very inexpensive. What's not to like.
k. h.
A busy Wetherspoons in a lovely setting - they've kept the apse and chapels of the church which gives the location a really grand feel.
Food wise, I had the risotto which was delicious, and everything was pretty cheap
P. W.
Beautiful location and amazing low prices for drink and food.
C. B.
I do like the MIM but the staff need to be taught how to wipe tables....not give us the cloth to do the job! Seats could do with a good clean as all are badly stained! More staff at the bar...maybe a different part of the bar when ordering food! This would save a lot of time!
A. J.
Excellent service by the team there fast and freshly cooked food Great value for money we visited the area for a short break and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the man in the moon for drinks and food
D. B.
Well organised. Great service, friendly and hard working staff, who were very efficient. Food good quality for a great price. Excellent all round. We will return. Yum yum. 😊
g. m.
Excellent venue. Ordered to table via the app... seamless... food was perfectly cooked to group standards, table service was great. First time using app due to in pub notices.
Great pub chain advocate. Well done Man in the Moon.
R. P.
Looked amazing...love buildings in structure...food was great as expected. Staff wear face coverings. Very helpful. Enjoyed our meal.
a. D.
Food ok.
Fast service.
Gr8 value for money.
T. B.
Good atmosphere and drink and food at fair value.
D. T.
Never had a bad meal in here and I always really enjoy the food! which is weird because the Wetherspoons in Ryde has been awful on the occasions I've been stupid enough to keep giving it chances but will definitely stick with The Man in the moon!! 👍
Good value as well 👍
G. B.
A cracking Wetherspoons !
Situated in a prime spot on Newport high street.
Based partially on a former church this is a Large building beautifully designed. Seating over multiple levels. Bustling with lots of happy customers and terrific staff.
Attractive modern beer garden.
Good food and beer at bargain bucket prices. This really is a very well run ship.
Genuinely impressed. 5 stars !
J. S.
A little unhappy as booked a table 4 weeks before visiting and there was no reservation on arrival, but the staff managed to put 3 tables together for us.
Food is very reasonable priced although one person had to wait for their order to arrive.
Staff are very helpful but quite stressed as it was very busy.
C. L.
Love the drink. Wine, budwiser and thatchers haze.all wonderful. Record time, 1 min between app and drink.
I. B.
Second time in two days we have been back. With the new Wetherspoons app, you just turn up, and place your order at your table on your phone, and moments later it arrives, outstanding. The food both days has been exceptional for both my wife and I, so that's four meals over two days, too consistent to be a fluke, and the price isn't bad either.
S. K.
A nice pub.
It was a old church.
Lots of carrator
S. P.
Great spoons in what used to be a church. Loads of seating areas nicely spaced over two levels. Lovely toilets. Standard spoons food served fairly quickly. We'll defo be returning.
D. H.
Always Good Service. The menu could be better and a lot more healthier. Everything with Salad or Chips. Bit more lighting needed must be saving on electric. All round a nice place to chill and have a bite to eat.
S. R.
A VERY IN TREND PLACE FOR DINNING AND CASUAL DRINKING. THEY HAVE JUST HAD A NEW OUTDOOR ADDITION TO THE BUILDING ,A LOVELY OUTDOOR SEATING & TABLES WITH LIGHTING.
I am hope this means that you wont have to walk through the thick fog of smokers at the entrance.
The staff are friendly and quick.
The facilities are smart and clean.
The man in the moon is very popular.
r. w.
We ordered X3 pizzas, scampie and chips, and hulumi fries. The pizzas were fantastic value for money. I felt that they were slightly under cooked but that's just my opinion I cannot mark down on this, as the other two people in our group were happy. The hulumi fries were small and over priced. But all in all I cannot fault the man in the moon . Great place to go cheap food and cheap beer.
P. M.
Efficient, cheap and easy.. The team are attentive and chatty... Just what you need for a couple of pints and a bite to eat.
m. m.
Good old wetherspoons fare.
Cheap food and beer..
Quite fast service for food..
J. F.
Food we had was nice but options were very very limited. Quick service
S. T.
This is the machine that is weatherspoons. Ordering by app. The staff are working so hard , literally running carrying plates.
Our order was a little messed up but it was all sorted eventually. Please pay the staff more and charge more for the food and drink.
The building here really is awesome. Nice pews.
H. D.
What more could you want from a local pub. Freindly staff, ability to use phone to order quick and cheap food. Drinks are reasonably priced. Always busier towards the evenings especially on Friday and Saturday when everyone is out. Burgers are delicious.
v. e.
Had the brunch. Was really nice.. But egg not quite cooked enough.
K. K.
Our 'go to' place if we fancy a fuss free meal out, or for a catch up with friends. Has all the usual wetherspoons menu, so you know what you're going to get. Staff friendly and the pub itself has a lovely atmosphere.
P. T.
Interesting and possibly incongruous Wetherspoons venue, given that it is a pub in a converted chapel! Great atmosphere, pleasant outdoor eating areas and helpful staff.
l. p.
Impressive wetherspoon, a converted church. The weather was lovely when we visited so we sat outside, so lovely and bright. We all had a chicken wraps and lattes (free refills), delicious. After a couple of bus rides around the island we came back for our dinner, again food was hot and tasty and very reasonably priced.
d. j.
Very nice atmosphere, food was good, staff & service was great will visit again
J. H.
Amazing atmosphere.
One of the nicer wetherspoons I been in.
Definitely worth a visit.
G. B.
Brilliant service really friendly staff
C.
The Man in the Moon is a relaxing place for a drink or meal with family and friends. The staff are wonderful and welcoming. They provide for different food options such as vegetarian and vegan. There are seating available inside on the first and second floor and ouside as well. I can honestly say that The Man in the Moon is one of my favourite restaurant to go to.
F. W.
Went yesterday for a spot off lunch. Very nice weatherspoons in a converted church. We had a lovely meal.
P. J.
Food and wine top class
N. D.
Very friendly. Quick service and an enjoyable place to visit
M. P.
Well what can I say about this place. It's no ordinary wetherspoons the decor has hallucinogenic properties which makes you want to order the most delightful things including but not limited to a fine glass of cool refreshing milk please refer to my picture as proof of the delightfulness of the milk
I. G.
Lovely restoration of a former church. It can get extremely busy in the evenings and seems to become more of a pub than a restaurant.
The food is good value and the staff are pleasant.
M. R.
Excellent standard Wetherspoons pub in the heart of Newport.
Fast friendly service, outdoor seating, glass windows, two levels and cheap beer. Also, award winning clean public toilets. What's not to like?
C. B.
Love this Wetherspoons. 2nd visit in last 9 months whilst staying on the island.
Large dining area. Clean & tidy.
Staff friendly & helpful.
Food really good. Love the coffee refills & partner loves being able 2 have a John Smith's with his breakfast, lol.
Will visit again nxt time we r on the iow.
B. P.
absolutely loved it me and the wife went in for Sunday breakfast had the large one for £5 was very filling and very nice eggs cooked perfectly the wife had the American breakfast that come with pancakes bacon and maple syrup will be going back again
s. h.
Great wetherspoons pub inside an old church . Good food and a good selection of drinks .
A. L.
Huge venue lots of upstairs seating a cosy real log fire downstairs superb range of beers just sipping a perfectly poured pair of pints a Lurcher stout & Titanic Black Ice guest ales. Busy with families during the day so you often get the odd fire alarm volume screaming child and excitable spouses. A superb establishment top marks.
S. C.
Really lovely place for young children to come and see and learn about many different animals. Lots to do and a really fun day out. The staff are all lovely too and the animal keepers are full of knowledge.
J. B.
This is a great spoons pub, food is great, plenty of seating space. Can become busy around lunchtime, but that's to be expected. Service is usually quick and good!
S. B.
Had run out of some food we ordered and limited real ales on tap but as always excellent value food and drink in pleasant surroundings
J. W.
Good selection of food ,good prices
m. h.
Food is exactly what you'd expect for the price. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Wouldn't hesitate to go back. Also a lovely characteristic building
R. J.
Excellent service and friendly staff
r. b.
Very busy and can be a few minutes to make your order. Food is adequate and arrives quite quickly. Large selection of beers with lots of real ales.very cheap so can get packed out.
M. M.
Public generic Wetherspoons pub in a converted chapel the lovely paved and walled garden area, with good disabled access and a friendly bar team. overall offering standard Wetherspoons fair with friendly attentive staff and quick polite service. Worth a stop if you happen to be in town.
A. A.
I liked the atmosphere and the food with reasonable prices
K. W.
Food was good, drinks were grand, had a good time with my mates.
Definitely worth the visit
R. P.
One of the best Weatherspoons pubs I've been too. Really well presented with friendly staff and the benefits of well priced food and drink. The burger meals were amazing!
b.
Went there for a meal with the wife and it was really busy but our food arrived quick and it was brilliantly priced
H. S.
The staff is overwhelmed orders and can't keep up with people coming in and leaving. Therefore it took long before my food got served. The food quality is excellent though and I'd recommend this place.
L. M.
Usually really busy but the service is still really quick when u order from the app. The building is amazing and well converted. I would just say go early in the day if you want to order the specials as they do sell out
R. H.
Good food and drink. Very popular and can be very busy. There can be a wait at the bar and ordering food. Just found the android app which when it works means you can avoid the bar and can order on line with table service. Great idea 💡
M. F.
I always like this place for its comfortable surroundings and reasonably priced beverages. Family friendly too and there is a good choice on the menu. Service is prompt especially if you use the Wetherspoons app for ordering.
A. H.
Good value for money, can get very busy. Definitely recommend it
M. T.
Great pub in an old church so sympathetically styled.
R. S.
Standard spoons prices and selection. Cheap and cheerful. Food is good for the money. This spoons is located in an old church so is a lovely building to be inside, especially on the upper level.
S. H.
Beautiful building and some original fixtures have been kept which is part of Weatherspoons charm, working with the building rather than having a standard bar model. There are lots of little nooks that makes the large pub more personal, it is easy to spend many hours here. The only reason I have given it 4* is due to the reduced menu selection and the higher price variations to another Weatherspoons less than 10 miles away! Of course this is not anything the staff are able to resolve, and all the staff are happy and helpful.
B. P.
Good affordable menu. Nice priced never ending coffee.
G. B.
Nice place. Orders made on the app were coming to our table wrong and when mentioned to the server he must shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Orders were rectified but. Needs heat lamps outside in the seating area.
J. T.
Good service, great with allergies and lovely food
A. M.
Beautiful venue inside an old church. I can not fault the service. The Wetherspoons app is ridiculously easy to use to place your order. The food came very quickly, and was hot and tasted fresh.
I had the buttermilk chicken burger meal with chips and onion rings. The chicken was tender and very crispy. The meals are very reasonably priced, including a drink, too, at only a couple of pounds on top of what you would pay for a McDonalds or KFC meal.
There was an unfortunate incident where someone on a table upstairs spilt his drink and it cascaded down into our table, luckily we'd already finished our food! A member of staff came straight down to apologise and cleaned up the mess. We got a bit of a laugh from him as he was obviously embarrassed (he shouldn't have been, it was just one of those things!) after he walked headfirst into a pillar. I'm not sure he knew anyone had noticed!
We will be returning. Thank you.
J. N.
good food quick service and friendly customers. there weren't many clear and clean tabled but this may be because of how busy it was at the time.
M. R.
Having travelled round the country delivering training courses I have visited dozens of Weatherspoon pubs. I'm delighted to say that this, my local "Spoons" is my favourite. There are always plenty of staff who are friendly and efficient. The food is always excellent especially considering the prices. My favourite thing is the mobile app that allows you to find a table and order and pay for food and drinks without queuing at the bar.
R. B.
Excellent young staff but very well organized,
Friendly and efficient.
Well valued food.
J. M.
Cheaper and much nicer than mcdonalds.
G. G.
Another great Weatherspoons on the Beautiful IOW...
B. R.
A busy bustling Wooden Spoons. Fast service once food order has been placed. Never enough people serving with no organized queing system at the bar. A complete mishmash of clientele housed in a beautiful building, retaining most of it's original architecture and church fittings.
Has an outside seating area also a smoking area.
Has three main eating areas with a mezzanine floor offset to the main eating areas.
Food, normal WP's.
D. C.
The food was great, but there was so much ice in my husband's drink so as a result of that he didn't have a full pint so at the end of the day we felt like we'd been hard done by. Net time will have to make sure we ask for NO ice .
C. F.
Wetherspoons in a church setting. Lovely clean place. Food was good and service was excellent
B. L. (. N.
Set in an old church. Makes this place unusual. A great place to eat inside, and also has a great outside area for the summer months, and for smokers. A good choice of food and drinks at reasonable prices. This place is always busy.
G. H.
Good value for money for food server upstairs rather rude maybe needs help as busy venue lacks management. Staff downstairs less busy
Food & drink good but more training both of new staff and customer service required not forgetting management as does not appear to know what's going on
D. E.
Recently a small group of us ordered food and we're later told that there were non left. We were all upgraded to the larger meal at no extra cost. We were all very happy with the customer services at this establishment.
S. S.
Great atmosphere and you can not beat the value for your money that they offer. staff is always well presented and polite will and have been back many times with out fault. great place to vist
B. C.
In the last week I have eaten on two separate occasions in the Man In The Moon. Very good value, good food, good portions, very friendly and helpful staff and I love the atmosphere and character of the great building, a former church which has been beautifully transformed into a lovely pub. There is a very pleasant courtyard at the front of the pub. Well done, Wetherspoons.
R. W.
Love the the way the restaurant has been designed and developed within the this former church. Many of the original features have been maintained. The food is of a high quality. I would definitely recommend.
J. J.
Had a lovely meal with my friend
R. S.
Well kept beer and very pleasant staff Covid rules well observed. Housed in a former church building lends a bit of character.
C. H.
A Wetherspoons pub/restaurant. Lovely refurbished former church so lacking natural light on one side of lower level. Glass-fronted 2-floor extension is 🔆. Good prices, big menu. Good service despite queues at busy times. No upstairs tills. If u sit upstairs, find a table, go down to order & back up. If you eat downstairs you go up for the loo (unless you qualify for the disabled loo which is on the ground floor). Smokers outside new glass right hand entrance; use left hand original church door to avoid smoke. Handy cheap place if you are in Newport but no views.
M. B.
Great staff, always so helpful but the food can sometimes be a let down when super busy
m. w.
Amazing Weatherspoon's which used to be an old church, it's on 2 floor's,great food as always.
J. T.
Lovely building always busy but good service and great food will definitely go back
M. J.
Beautiful place and a nice pint
I. A.
Serves all types. The man in the moon is the nicest spoons I've been to. The building is beautiful and seating comfortable. The giant fireplace helps keep warm on a cold day!
R. P.
Good breakfast and fast service
j. h.
Great service. We had a small issue that was sorted out very politely and efficiently by server Perry, upstairs. Perry has been a long serving employee Thanks very much. Appreciate your help.
M. B.
My wife and I are regulars and find the service excellent, cheap prices and great beers. I would also like to thank Perry for being an excellent food server and that he is an asset to wherever he works.
J.
Good pub, I only visit when the Isle of Wight festival is on. Although the pub is busy these weekends (mainly in the morning), the stuff do an excellent job on serving getting food out considering the pub is field to the hilt with festival goers by 9am.
F. B.
Almost every time I go to Newport, my first choice to go somewhere for lunch is the Man in the moon. Good value for money, and the food is always good! See you again soon!
s. f.
Every time I went there I really liked it. The service was fast, only downside is laud people but you get that everywhere
J. W.
Currently Newport's only Wetherspoons pub, The Man In The Moon is of a very high quality whether it's food or drinks. On the one occasion I had an issue, it was resolved by management quickly and effectively. Really nice staff.
j. h.
Crowded, which is a good thing. I've seen comments which say "total lack of atmosphere" which is completely untrue and whoever wrote them needs to check themselves
L. S.
Not a great place for groups having fun. Although they sell a great selection of wines and beers you are not allowed to by them if you laugh too loudly, think they just advertise it for quiet couples only.
A. F.
I love their choice of wines by the glass, especially Villa Maria.
G. R.
Love Ilse of Wight pub nice friendly staff
J. W. S.
Excellent food and drink 🍸😋very good service 👏👍
T. M.
Staff happy. Food ok . Good value for money. Loved the old building .
E. F.
Good food at a very reasonable price. Very popular with all generations from the young to the more senior citizen. Good atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy your food and a pint!
D. G.
Decent food and drink, sometimes short on things like salt there's none left also don't appreciate them spreading their brexit politics with the trade cards when I'm just trying to have a nice meal, I hear about it enough already.
T. h.
lovely hotel clean and friendly we will be back soon x
J. B.
weatherspoons is peng it is so amzing bruv i just want to eat it all the time it is so good compare to maccy d's and kay ef see and frenchy franks bruv it is just so good i cant even explain how good it is i wish that this ting was on deliveeroyy bruvy or ubery eaties omg lads when i go there i order the same thing each time i go there which is the spicy boi meaty feasty and a glassy of pepis maxxy omg it is so peng bruv
J. N.
Nice pub with friendly staff
B. A.
Was quite surprised how cheap the food was especially as it included the drink. Food is cooked well even if a little basic and staff a pleasant and helpful .Places little bit dirty on the tables but except for that everything was fine.
t. a. g.
Food was excellent, service was great 👍🏻
P. E.
Sometimes myself and the wife go for a lovely breakfast. Nice and good value
h.
Drinks are great, good us nice. Very nice staff
t. m.
Great manager running the floor. We made a mistake with our order, totally our fault but the manager exchanged with minimal fuss.
D. C.
It is as good as a Weatherspoons can be. It is in a unique building, which used to be a church. You can easily drink a beer on what used to be the altar. Definitely a place worth a visit if you're on the island.
A. B.
What better place to have Sunday Breakfast than in a Church.
Good value for money and the building has been sympathetically adapted to it's new purpose.
C. B.
It's weather spoons! Had no problems. Food was good and so cheap! Was busy but it was Thursday curry night. 7pm. Emptied after. Would go again.
S. H.
I really like this pub, as you can sit in a bright sunny area or find a dark corner and hide away. Internet is great staff are great, seems to be a fair amount of queuing at the bar but i always use the weather spoons app
H. a.
The food quality was good and the service was quick. I just wish they has more variety of classic pub dishes on the menu.
J. A.
Quick service, & good tasty food.. Seemed a little short staffed judging by how many tables were left dirty, but it was just after dinner time..
J. Q.
Great venue, four of us had meals and all were fantastic value, the lamb shank is to die for. Very friendly and helpful staff also. Highly recommended
T. L.
Lovely meal. Considering it was Valentine's night and it was busy, service was fast. Friendly staff and good food too
j.
sooooooooooooo peng ting init actaully lit so much betta tan kay eff sea and mac ronalds everee thyme i gow their eye by da sayme ting every thyme

M. S.
Had a great meal, went for the all day Sunday Brunch. Service was fast and officiant and the staff where really good. All in all a great experience.
N. B.
Fantastic! Food was fresh, hot and we didn't have to wait too long before we received it. Highly recommend.
s. b.
Previously a church. Nice place to visit
S. A.
Wetherspoons. Can never go wrong with this outlet. Good food. Cheap and fast with good quality and service. Beautiful renovated church building. Love the name they gave it!
I. M.
Great food at decent price. Tuesday is steak night so had mixed grill. Lamb, pork loin, rump steak, sausage, gammon chips and peas
e. s.
What a place!! By far the best whetherspoons on existence!!
T. D.
Always a good atmosphere and reasonable prices.
M. H.
Service was quick and with a smile .... Best mixed grill I've had from Wetherspoons in a long while
D. F.
A large weatherspoons with all they have to offer. Good price with a large drink selection. Lovely old (church) building nicely converted.
B. 4.
Lovely food. But unfortunately terrible table service. Sat waiting 40 minutes for our plates to be taken away and for our puddings to arrive!!!!
N. F.
Great for breakfast and catching up with friends. I haven't eaten here later in the day yet but it is a fun place to go
K. S.
Clean tidy bar, good food service and nice beers well recommended
C. S.
Really good service food is plain and simple and tasty I always feel they could do with some more staff as they are rushed off there feet most of the time
S. M. (. S.
Good food, great atmosphere easy to talk to friends and family and catch up. Great prices and different daily offers. The hot wings are the best!
A. H.
Wetherspoons....been to one, you have been to all. Table service was quick, food was hot and cheap. Quirky place this being in an old church.
S. P.
Great looking building with lots of tables using the same winning Wetherspoons formula, namely good value and good choice. I went on steak night which was very tasty.
F. P.

Good place. It is held in a old church. Still the service is not that good an a little bit dirty. It can be a so much better place. They run out of coffe often.

If your looking for cheap and cheerful food, this is the place to dine out! A very family friendly atmosphere with a super fast and efficient food service, if you have cranky tired kids.

Food is nice but difficult to get someones attention to actually take the order.

Attractive venue, sensitively converted.
Pleasant, reliable food. Quick effective service with novelty of ordering with a mobile app to avoid queuing.

Always a good service. Fast times on food, a good location, a very decent Wetherspoons. Only problem are the local 24/7 drinkers who aren't really a nice crowd...
