Great service from the staff, especially young barman Dan ‘The Man’. Always had a smile on his face and nothing was any trouble for him. Lovely food and drinks with nice atmosphere. Haven’t been there in a very long time but will definitely return soon.

Nice place for dinner out. Beer and large on tap. Friendly place all welcome.. Food looks good with plenty of space, covid safe. Plenty of parking outside with tables in and out.... Place can get busy so book ahead...... Keep up the good work Tilly D... 123

The nice local pub was busy on Friday night. The food was great and the service. I and my mates were impressed with the beef pie that was made in the traditional way instead of the puffy butter pastry top. The curry sauce was perfect. I can not stop myself from dipping it with chips. The downside is to get a few more helping hands to cope with the demand for services during peak hours

Tried this lovely little pub and wasn't disappointed. Fab staff,very friendly and welcoming. Lovely our door area and inside is dog friendly too. Even little treats at the door for your fur babies.. food was lovely too. A bit disappointed that the mac and cheese wasn't brown ed off in the oven. But bar that we will definitely be going back. Inside is decorated very modern and lots of tables so doesn't feel like your all squashed in. Definitely recommend 👌

Had a fantastic evening with our children 10 and 14. All had food which as always was delicious and filling. To top a great day and evening we have a band entertaining tonight. Perfect evening with family and friends.

Had lunch here. It was busy but found a table inside. Ordered fish and chips as an over 60 which was enjoyable. Prices were average for a pub meal.

My daughter, and myself, took my grandchildren there Thursday afternoon for lunch after their sports Day in Machen. We had amazing meal's, service was Very quick, we ate outside in the beautiful weather, What a delicious end to an amazing day. JMJ.

Didn't get chance to eat, too busy drinking with friends. But the meals looked superb. Great range of draught lagers and real ales. Bar was very busy on a Saturday afternoon visit (Six Nations playing) , but the staff handled it well, efficiently and were very polite.. 👏👏👏

The tradegar arms has taken a big turn for the good recently. Food is great and customer service has also been great, the manager especially. Sorted us out with meal customisation, proud to call this my local again
