Food reasonable, service good. The building is tired, smelly and unkempt. Would not return unless its smartened up, local competion is too good. I ordered the mixed grill but got gammon; wifey had lasagne...

Good, friendly service with good, value for money food. I highly recommend ordering via the greenking app so you don't have to wait at the bar just place your order of food and drinks, enter table number, pay and relax everything is sorted without leaving your chair. No minimum order amount, if you want another drink just click your drink in the app, pay and its brought to your table. See pictures for food menu.

Good value. Good food at great price. Nice polite staff. However it's a bit grubby. Our table was dirty when we sat down and nobody wiped it. Several members of staff doing other things, but for the few diners they had, should have been more attentive. I'm not one to make a fuss, and had I asked I'm sure they would have wiped it, but I shouldn't have to ask.

Lovely place, great food, hosted my daughters 1st birthday party (whole meal for 30 of us) they did a great job! Considering it was a hot Saturday lunchtime! It was great! Only downside is the radiators were on, so we were boiling! Thank you again Lakeside!

Generally typical of the chain with good facilities for kids. However, outside tables were mostly broken (frustrating on a sunny day) and the staff were too busy messing about with each other to deliver any sort of service.

Visited the wacky warehouse today with my children and was greeted by Morgan she made us feel so welcome and attended to are every need and also let us know that there was a 30 minute wait time on food and when it did arrive the food was cooked perfectly the kids had a brilliant time and will definitely recommend

5 stars for the staff, friendly service and pricing but sad to see the Golden Oldies menu has been removed. I have been taking my mum here regularly for a few years and the portions have always been perfect for her. We’ve found somewhere else that does a similar menu but it’s a shame to have had to stop using the Lakeside. Definitely something that should be reconsidered

We went to dinner at Lakeside after struggling to get in anywhere at Rushden Lakes. We went in and it wasn't too busy even on a Friday and we managed to find a table to seat all 8 of us(we went out with friends). We ordered our drinks and food on the Greene King app. It wasn't too difficult to use. They bought out our starters first which was the sharing nachos with all the toppings....Beautiful!! They were huge!! Then came our drinks, the wait wasn't too long....covid restrictions are in place as they bought them to the table but let us pass them down. Our main meals arrived not long after we had finished our starters.... they were all a generous size...me youngest Daughter had cheesy chips and wings, they were polished off....my eldest Daughter had 5 mini burgers and chips(I can't remember what it's called on the menu), but again polished off and it's a big portion!! My Hubby has the quadzilla burger and chips and I had the Jack burger I think it's called...it's got monterrey Jack sauce in it as well as lots of other bits n pieces....but the food was lovely, the service was lovely....so all in all very happy....we would definitely go back....thank you....unfortunately I forgot to take some pics but next time we go I take some x

Went to a kids party here before Xmas, overall ok but wondered why the ball bit is still in use when other places have removed them for infection control. Otherwise a nice little place if you don't have time for larger places.

Great for the children. There are cartoons at the tables that help to keep them entertained. The food isn't great but is ok. It was busy today and the staff forgot about us and didn't bring the sauses they asked us if we wanted (like I said it was busy so understandable). The deserts are amazing. Food was very good. One guest did not receive their meal with the rest of us. The staff told us they took the order correctly and it failed to reach the kitchen staff. It finally arrived as I was finishing. Not very pleasant for my guest! We then ordered dessert there was no apple pie which happens from time to time. We were then charged for the ice cream and the late meal which was clearly not taken and over looked by the serving staff In the first place. Blaming the chef lol. The beer is well kept and the merlot house wine was very good. A good manager would have wavered the price of one late served lasagna.Lol

Great experience dinning out in a large group. We were able to pre order our food which arrived at our table within minutes of us being there (work lunch). This place is great for kids. It has TV screens in the booths to watch children's TV which I think is a little OTT but I suppose it helps for others. Service is fast, food is good and there's parking too. The only reason I marked it down by one star is because they don't have any type of spring water to drink / for sale, which I think is a bit silly as it meant I couldn't have anything to drink there. We won't be coming back but I'd recommend it to others.

We booked a table for a large party of 18 for a family Christmas get together. It was all pre ordered but the staff were great and so well organised. The food came out quickly and it was all tasty for the price we paid. The table was all set and looked lovely. The lady managing the booking was super helpful and polite. The kids really enjoyed the soft play too. The only thing I would say is ask that they bring the kids food out first when you arrive!

Bar staff excellent but the kitchen staff was shocking. Food disgusting. Revisited in the last week and the food was great and Anya, Aaron and Sarah were very attentative and kitchen staff made huge effort to ensure our food was of a high standard, which it was. Thank you all so much.

Good for early morning meetings - the staff are friendly and service fast at that time of the day. It is a busy restaurant at lunchtimes and for evening meals. Car parking is easy. Good access into the restaurant, with two entrances. Children's indoor play but check what is there and opening times. Can eat/drink outside ... quite a few tables.

Can't fault the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The food is okay - you know what you are getting at a Hungry Horse, although the apple crumble and custard deserves an honourable mention! we ate here last Sunday as it was an ideal place for 3 different branches of our family to meet some coming from the south coast and others from the North However due to bad weather conditions we arrived between half an hour and an hour and a half late. Not only did the hungry horse take the trouble to telephone us to warn us about the weather they also held our table for us and made us really welcome when we finally arrived. The food was really reasonable, served quickly and very good and we were even lucky enough that Santa popped in to see us much to the delight of my grandchildren. All in all a lovely day and a huge thanks to the staff for being so friendly and helpful

Stayed at the very nearby Premier inn. The Hungry horse is rather unusual. A bit like a Wetherspoons for price and quality, with good friendly service. The booth tables have built in TVs. Great for families, possibly not for a nice meal out with your other half. I was with my son and he loved it.

A functional and cheap pub that we return to regularly due to its proximity to work. The food is okay and the various deals through the week make it very cheap. Service speed is hit and miss - it can be very slow or nearly instant when the pub is almost empty. tends to get busy around lunch times during the week, especially on a Friday. There is an attached "Wacky Warehouse" soft play place which is also okay if it's empty but gets really noisy and a little on the feral side when there are more than a few kids in there, especially in school holidays.

Staff are just so friendly and nice. Very helpful with children. Perfect play area where you can sit and watch them play as it isnt too big but big enough for them to run around. We do the monthly unlimited pass for £10 a month which is fab. Huge menu and drink choices. Car park and easy to get too. No complaints really. The standard reasonable family pub :)
