Breakfast here at the Hungry Horse Sixfields Northampton has got to be 💯 the best. Always fresh, hot and very tasty. The Staff are pleasant and happy which in my opinion goes a long way. Thank you guys. It’s appreciated. 👍🏼👍🏼

We had a lovely lunch, food good, because we're not expecting fine dining. But so many places now send the food out tepid at best. This was all piping hot. Carrie and her team were attentive, pleasant to chat to it was all areas were clean too. We'll be coming back for sure. Thanks everyone

Great pub with great food an amazing customer service! I ordered something off the menu and when it arrived I didn't like it, just wasn't my taste, I went to the bar and ordered something else, 10 mins or so later and the waitress is bringing me over my new place of food, I said to her that it was way too spicy for me and she offered some extra side portions, at their cost, which she really didn't need to offer, really excellent customer service 👌

Ended up at Sixfields today after two failed attempts to get coffee from coffee shops nearby due to closers because of bad weather. The lady greeting us went the extra mile to accommodate me, my two friends and a baby and found a safe environment for us to enjoy our coffee and a good natter. Service was brilliant and I recommend this place not only for food and drinks but also for the care and attention they give to their customers. Recommend this place to everyone and anyone

Had an amazing lunch at the hungry horse today, we ordered the wrap and also the breakfast. They were both absolutely delicious! We had a lovely meal last night the food was spot on and the service was really fast after our food we played on the claw machine which sadly broke down while our 3 year old was playing the manager called Richard come over and saw our little one he explained the machines are not there responsibility and wouldn't be fix that day he apologised to our son then he went off and came back with some toys for him this made his day this was extremely sweet of him he went above and beyond to make our little one smile again highly recommend we will be back thankyou👍 😀

The Sixfields Taven has been rebuilt after suffering a major fire some years ago. It is part of the Hungry Horse chain of pub restaurants. It is located on the Hill above the Cobblers (Northampton Town FC) stadium. Parking is plentiful, but time constrained because of the Cobblers and Saints stadiums close by. In the same area is a bowling alley, a cinema complex and many varied eating establishments from fast food to sit down meals. Back to the Tavern, a range of Greene King beers are offered as well as a range of others. We were here for a breakfast before going on to the Saints later in the afternoon. Two big breakfasts came with all the usual things and black pudding if required. Our other two food orders were one scrambled egg and bacon, and a bacon and fried egg sandwich. Portion sizes were quite big and very good tasting. Sat near the kitchens it was interesting to see lunch meals beginning to come out. All looked very good and again with big portions. Without drinks, just under £ 20 was very good value for the four meals. The ambience was welcoming and the, mostly young, members of staff were helpful and very efficient. Service was quick. We shall return.

we came in friday night for dinner and the pub was very busy but our food was with us in under 20 minutes, our amazing waitress bethany helped us order our food and her attitude was amazing! she made our meal very fun and we will definately return shortly!

Myself and my daughter visited here on a very busy Saturday afternoon we were 45 minutes early for our booking but we're seated immediately even though it was so busy because of the home football team playing 5 mins away, the gentleman was called Rich who seated us I think he's the manager there, we were well looked after by Carrie who was so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us, as soon as all the football fans left herself and the team were clearing and tydying everywhere within minutes the place was all done. As soon as we ordered our food was only about 10 mins and our drinks were brought straight over after ordering on the app. Team sixfields keep doing what your doing your amazing and compliments to the chefs back of house the food was so nice thankyou 😁😁

We have become regulars to this lovely family friendly pub in Sixfields. They have a varied menu catering for all appetites and dietary requirements. We have been coming here for a few years now with the family and it is always an enjoyable meal out. The food is very tasty and well priced, there are also special deals throughout the week to keep an eye out for. The staff are very friendly and always flexible, providing a great customer experience.

Guests can choose any table in entry though I believe they do allow booking. Ordering was easy and both food and drinks delivered to the table with a smile. Nice spacious pub with a large selection of food and drinks. The food is always very nicely cooked, and you can choose between standard or larger size meals. We did need to book a table this time, but it is best to ring and check especially in these uncertain times.

Unparalleled quality of service, and 11/10 food every time. I visit Hungry Horse Sixfields quite frequently, as it's my local, and I couldn't be more happier with the dining experience received on every single visit. My very specific (picky) food order always delivers, and the service received by all of the staff matches the quality of the food. You have a tremendous team at this establishment. One of the wait staff in particular, Josh, is a genuinely happy, always-pleased-to-see-you type of guy. If it ever so happened that my food order was unavailable for some reason, I'm not lying whe. I say that I would still visit for the pure fact of Josh working a shift. Many a times I've visited when I've been feeling absolutely exhausted after a long week at work, and Josh just cheers me up by doing no more than being himself. I sincerely hope that Josh (future management candidate) is appreciated by yourselves, as much as he is by me. 10/10 service every time I've visited this year, and your chef also deserves some serious recognition. It's ok. Tables still "old style" sticky. The menu was Very crowded so, it makes you look over and over again..(especially if you are a 11yr old or even 48) Just keep it simple guys.. Food was ok too but not what it looked on the photos (nowhere near). P.s. don't get the garlic cheesy sauce (looks like a thinned down tartare sauce with garlic in it) The service was good at the table, at the bar different story.... I think this has put me off going back at Hungry Horse.

After a stressful day at work, i wanted to come to the hungry horse for a lovely cold pint to de-stress. And i was served by the most wonderful barlady, Loz, not only did she pour me a perfect pint into a cold glass, but she provided outstanding service, from pouring my pint to serving my food, being ever so polite and sympathetic towards me after a stressful day. 5 star employee on your hands here, ill be sure to come back and wait for Loz to serve me!

Your average pub grub I had the chicken kabab and spiced chips the kabab could have had some seasoning, the chips had no flavour and the spice they put on was gritty, the coleslaw was nice but not bad for price you pay. Unfortunately the ice-cream counter wasn't working so didn't have desert it was too hot for the pudding they had on offer, hubby had hunters chicken he said chicken was bland and chips lack in seasoning same as the nachos. Service was lacking and confusing as we had two servers which meant two servants were coming to say the same thing about the off ice cream and asking if we need anything.

Food came out a lot quicker than expected. One of the meals we ordered wasn't what we expected. When a member of staff, Josh started to clear our table, he asked if we'd like to pack up the remaining of the meal. We explained that we didn't enjoy it so didn't want to take this home. Such a lovely members staff they have. Very tasty food and good time waiting. Kids loves the fact that they can play outsides at the play area, or with the many baby/children toys insides. We love it too, you can pick the toys, leave the kids play with and just return them to their place before you go. We always coming back.

Below is from visit on 14/11/2021 Awful visit yesterday.Had booked but staff had no record of it,seated after I showed confirmation email on my phone. No light at the table,unable to read menu. No spare light bulbs available? Second table was filthy & had to ask for it to be cleaned.One meal stone cold,sent it back & replacement was inedible. Ice cream choice for kids not available. Got home,3out of 5 of us experienced stomach cramps & sickness. Cobblers or Saints not playing at home & not overly busy.Waste of time & money. Such a shame. Bloke that unblocked kids toy machine was good with the kids,had to say something positive!

Breakfast I reccomend Breakfast wraps with a latte, or for an evening meal I have the chicken skewers on sizzling plate. Also show a wide variety of sporting events, including top pay-per-views. Very good.

I understand things aren't perfect all the time and I believe we where compensated because of that. This was OK but there are better places on the Sixfields area. The food took almost an hour and was tepid at best when it arrived. It lacked taste and also there were ingredients missing from what was on the menu. The staff clearly did not want to be there but we're happy to hang about chatting to each other rather than serving customers. The weather outside was grim so I gave the poor service some leaway but there's no reason for inadequate meal quality and presentation.

With track and trace and ordering via the Greene King app. Staff are fantastic and really friendly, the service is beautifully fast and all staff are so knowledgeable about there products. Popped in yesterday to treat my mate to a birthday lunch. Staff were polite and friendly, new building is really nicely finished and laid out , looks family friendly too. Ordered nacho starter to share which was lovely and lots too, I ordered a Texas Jack burger which was to die for and my mate the birthday boy ordered a double southern fried chicken burger, chips were plenty and delicious, we had a HUGE ice cream sundae for pud with two spoons and a pint of a soft drink each, great value too. I would have given 5 stars but our mains were slow to arrive, infact there was a woman and her child that sat down after us that got their food way before us. Other than that highly recommended and will defo be visiting again soon.

Not my first choice for food in the area, but as a pub and somewhere to watch premiership football it’s perfect. It has plenty of places to sit, and you’ll never struggle to find a parking spot. Just avoid when the Cobblers are playing at home as away fans tend to congregate here, meaning it’s ten people deep at the bar with little chance of getting through for a drink!

The pub had a nice atmosphere and everyone is very friendly, it was however worrying that the bar staff when asked weren't able to confirm the soft drinks dispensed from the pumps contained the artificial sweetener aspartame and were unaware this is also known as "asulphame k" and "a source of phenylalanine". The gluten free dessert options are poor with a choice of only 2 showing a total lack of imagination. It remains disappointing that such a big chain is still falling behind in catering for those of us who unfortunately have to eat gluten free food.

One of those pubs that operates at the level of the lowest common denominator with lots of kids at busy times. There aren't a lot of better options in Sixfields and you could do worse when venturing into town. The menu is massive but is one of those where very little - if anything - will be cooked from scratch. From memory there were at least some vegan options; small victories and all that :) To the pub's credit they had Punk IPA on tap, which is worth a star on its own.

Sixfields is not a pub it is a series of eating places and cinema bowling etc. We went to Hungry Horse, which is much improved, not the best food ever and serving my obviously microwaved chicken on a "sizzler" plate with a pile of unasked for greasy onions does not endear me. Tell them you want your food on a plate! OH and don't order half a chicken roasted yesterday, it might make you veggie.
