M. C.What a friendly pub. Went to see a band and made to feel welcome the minute we walked in. Loved the banter from the staff and locals, nothing too much trouble. Such a shame it's such a drive, would definitely visit again.

L. W.A proper English pub! Guest ales change from week to week, the triple cooked chips are amazing, the food portions mean you never go hungry and the fish and chips are to die for. Best pub I've been to in ages. I'm so lucky it's my local. Friendly staff are always welcoming. And great music events during the summer.

J. C.Had a very pleasant monday night meal. All fresh cooked in a pleasant, clean atmosphere with friendly staff. I had the sizzling steak and particularly enjoyed it. We will definately be back. We were surprised and pleased by the specials and that local produce was being used, we live locally and have driven past this place for decades without going in, but will be looking forward to returning.

P. T.A lovely local pub with very good food..the staff are very friendly and helpful. There's disability access and a carpark at the rear of the pub. There's a large garden area with plenty of seating. Well worth a visit.
s. K.Fifteen of us including seven children went for my sixth birthday. The food was amazing and although there was a big party of us all the food came out hot. Everybody enjoyed their meal and will definitely go again.
M.Staff were friendly and the service was good. Food was ok, a bit of a mixed bag throughout the group. The halloumi fries were outstanding.

We arranged a surprise 30th birthday meal for a large group. There was no waiting for service or food. Everything was very prompt and reasonably priced too.

J. O.Ordered garlic prawns with aioli and bread, garlic was definitely easy garlic lots of from a jar almost as much as the prawns, the aioli was like a squirty bottle type. Whilst all ok could have been better. Ordered gourmet burger with brie and onion chutney served in a floured bun with chips and salad. Burger overcooked round the edges bit fry but tasted ok chips again crispy but couple of green ones, salad was a thimbleful of coleslaw in this teeny tiny dish with a sprig of parsley. Expected green salad not the offering we got. Upon placing the order asked if we would get pudding after if desired told no problem. Finished mains at 9.20pm enquired about puddings toldchef gone kitchen closed. Rather abrupt end to our meal. Wont be rushing back.

s. s.was really looking forward to go hear for sunday dinner as the rest of the meals I have tried have been lovely but sunday roast hear not worth £11.50 veg is alright...meat looks like wafer thin ham as if its one of those shop bought roasts that you put in the microwave.. will stick to carvery or cooking at home
