This pub has been transformed from a very run down pub to a very pleasant and friendly place to come and drink .The landlady has invested in the essentials to turn this place around. The next step is introducing food back , which I look …

Atmosphere was good, drinks cheaper than the other pub.....however the Sunday roast was a bit mneh, felt like the beef was boil in bag meat and the roasters. Well if Aunt Bessie lived and worked in this pub then they were home made. Positive note the dessert was really good. Shall visit again but not for food.

The online menu was out of date.
We were also made aware it was its last day of serving food. Restaurant was closing.
The manager was a lovely guy so we decided to stay and have a meal. The food was nice thanks. 3 stars for the manager.

We 'popped' in for a quick beer. What a nice pub. Really genuine friendly service. Good real ales. I like American pale ales but the Charles Wells bombardier was excellent. They have dining in a separate dining facility which we didn't try but judging by the general ambiance and great service I would be keen to try.

Went for a meal when we were still tier 2 and not in lockdown. The restaurant area was well spaced and felt safe. The meal was nice enough and the staff friendly and helpful. When it came to paying, had to go to the bar as there was no card machine for the restaurant area. The bar area had several seated areas that were crowded with people. It did not feel safe. So when the lockdown ends, I'll either be paying cash or going somewhere else.

Good food and Red Stripe on tap. Boom!
The Sunday carvery - fantastic and includes 'greens' unlike so many other popular carveries. Sittings at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm, booking recommended.
The fixed menu is also excellent, I recommend the pan fried duck.
Superb staff ;-)

Great friendly atmosphere, and a nice big garden for the kids to run around.
unfortunatly not serving food at the moment as there is no chef which is a big shame because it was excellent.
Front of the pub is a bit cramped and dark but plenty of seating, this place comes into its own in the summer being the only one in the village with a decent sized carpark and garden for the kids.

My Wife, Daughter and I had a late Sunday lunch here. Normally they finish at 16.00 hours, but because they had not been too busy so there was food left on the carvery and we were able to get a table at 16.30 without booking.
The carvery had a choice of 3 meats; Beef, Turkey and Gammon. I had a mix of the Beef and Turkey, which were both nice, although my Wife who had the Turkey didn't enjoy hers. I think her taste buds had been damaged from doing Veganuary. My Daughter who is Vegan had a roasted Mediterranean vegetable tart, which she enjoyed. There was a good selection of vegetables in heated trays that you could help yourself to, plus stuffing, Yorkshire pudding, gravy (vegan & normal) and sauces. The price for the Carvery and was £10.95, including the Vegan option, for one course or £14.95 for two courses. There was no Vegan desert, so only my Wife and I went for two courses. We had the individual lemon meringue pie with ice cream. These were nice, but a common problem was that the meringue was soft and not crispy. Not a problem for my Wife as she only has this desert for the bottom part (the lemon).
The pub had 3 real ales available. Two from Charles Wells, as this is one of their pubs, plus a guest beer. I went for the latter as I am not a fan of Bombardier or Eagle IPA. This was served in good condition, but it was a brand new barrel they had just put on.
We all had one drink each and my Daughter a tea instead of the desert. The total bill was just under £50, so good value. The service was good and staff very friendly.
We have been coming to Earls Barton for over 23 years and this was our first visit to the Old White Hart. We only came this time because the Old Swan was booked and they recommended the food here and we were not disappointed. I must admit that my first impressions of the front bar area wasn't great (it looks a bit tired), but glad we looked at the restaurant, which is very nice. I would recommend this pub for the Carvery, but best to book so that you don't risk being disappointed. I would like to try their normal menu, including the steaks which are good prices.
By the way dogs are welcome in the pub, but not in the restaurant. You can eat your food in the bar. We decided to leave our two dogs in the car as the restaurant was too nice to miss, but they got a nice treat of lots of turkey from my Wife and a little beer from my plate! By the way there is a nice large car park at the rear of the pub.
