Went here for Christmas dinner
Nice pub , friendly atmosphere, great bar staff/waitresses
Food was good but small portions on starters , guess for Xmas dinner a lot to serve too
Enjoyed the mains and puddings

We liked the refurbishment, great environment and feel. Nice welcome , good cocktails. Unfortunately the kitchen let it down. The fish and chips were average, Batter a little too thick and crunchy but ok. Long delay on deserts, we had gone past it by the time they arrived. Apologies offered and that's fine. Lovely serving staff. So, we used to be regulars but gave up when the service an d food went off badly, I believe due to poor management. Never quite convinced by Vintage Inns and their approach to quality control. Will give it another go, but my expectations are not that high. Prices have gone up considerably but sadly, not matched by the food quality and timeliness on this showing. Lets see what its like next time, but I fear its trying to compete against better alternatives.

Went to try out the new menu and can easily give it 5 stars. The food was perfectly cooked and delicious. The kids menu was great, they ate everything on their plates, which is highly unusual! Kelcie was our server and was very attentive and brought us everything we asked for.

Such a beautiful place/location and food was good apart from burnt garlic bread and an unwillingness to replace it initially due to 'being too busy' . Not sure if it was a waiting staff issue or not enough staff for the amount of people booked in... Was in good company so not a deal breaker...

Food, atmosphere, service, staff & location were all brilliant. Friendly attentive service from entry to exit was shown by all. The bar service was just great and the table service by Karen went up and beyond. The food was high restaurant quantity. Thanks, this was a great visit and we would highly recommend this place.

Average roast dinner.
The Fox and Hounds in Harlestone had a power cut so we were recommended to go here. I'm afraid to say the roast dinner was fairly disappointing. Roast potatos and most of the parsnips (apart from two) were very undercooked (see photo of the parsnips we left). For the price you don't get a lot of meat. I had two thin cuts of turkey with my roast. The broccoli was not fresh (going yellow). Seems that they need a new chef. Will not be returning.

Lovely restaurant good service and very nice food (beautiful fillet steak) but , could have been 5 stars if it were not for running out of fish ( on a Friday ) and chicken, a very overpriced wine and cold chips. 4 stars instead 3 because we're were given free deserts to offset these same comments made at the time (July 1st).

Food was nice, but very slow to come out. We had to chase up my son's pizza. When it finally arrived (after I'd finished my meal), it wasn't quite cooked - just slightly under cooked. We complained and this was removed from the bill. Portions were a little on the small side for the kebab dish. I was left feeling hungry. The steak was tasty and had plenty of chips. Pizza was tasty, but could have done with another 30secs in the pizza oven.

First time here, beautiful venue, staff and food was soo delicious. I've always driven past but now I'll be stopping a lot more often!! Definitely recommend even of it's just for a drink in the garden!

Good service and OK food but VERY overpriced. More expensive than many places in London. Understand that prices are increasing everywhere but £2.95 for a single croissant !
£18 for a main course, £8 for a dessert!
Nice place to take someone with a small appetite for a meal but not good value.
