This particular visit wasn't a good experience while ordering our food the chef could be heard using fowl language over the radio , after waiting for quite a long time only half of us got our food while we were waiting other tables got served with their food before the rest of ours came by the time the rest of us got our food the others had finished. the staff got stroppy with us and it was not busy at all so there's no excuse for that But there are some good points the food was lovely once we finally got it ,it is very dog friendly and they have bowls of water and food/ treats for them at the bar for free

Very family-friendly and pet-friendly pub. Great service, tidy and stylish. The kids loved the puzzles and games which you could take to your table. Snacks and water for dogs were also provided.

The food was okay but didn't expect much from a Greene king, we had to wait over an hour for our food yet we only had a 1.5 hour time slot. The garden has been done up really nice. The toilets were flooded and stunk.

Had the big brunch - it was OK but only warm. However I'd had exactly the same meal at the Spinney Hill pub (same pub chain) and their big brunch has always been consistently better and hotter when served. So the Elephant is OK and generally a good atmosphere but of the two I prefer Spinney Hill

Plenty of seating and well spread out. Really nice outside area well kept with plenty of lighting. Ive personally not eaten here but the chef is always busy. Lots of people comment on how nice the food is, beers always nice and cold. Would definitely recommend a try.

What a great night! Lovely atmosphere and the food was excellent, it was 50% off so we had desserts too, both courses were really good and we’ll definitely be back even without the 50% offer. The new Covid rules were clearly explained at the arrival desk and the staff did a great job at maintaining them, they even stuck to them in the garden which I’ve noticed quite a few pubs aren’t keeping on top of. It’s really simple stuff, sit down, one way systems at the doors, etc. it’s for all our benefit at the end of the day so we were happy to oblige and thought the staff did a great job from start to finish. Definitely worth a visit!

Food is a bit hit and miss, ok for a basic bite or kids snack. Drinks selection could be better. Toilets are in need of an urgent refurbishment.

A recently refurbished large pub with a big partly covered garden/terrace. Multiple tv screens and the rugby was on, so it was noisy but convivial.

A great Greene King pub with a vast selection of drinks. The lady that served us was very friendly and welcoming. Our drinks were good and cost about what I expected to pay. We visited here early on a Friday afternoon and they were serving food. Our meals were really delicious and excellent value. The beer garden was good too. We will definitely return!

7 of us ladies had our Christmas meal here this evening for the first time. Wow! The table was set out beautiful, with party hats, crackers, tiny gift box's, party poppers etc., very unexpected. We come here all the time, especially on Sundays because the Sunday roasts are amazing! Excellent pub with a great atmosphere and amazing food. Had great Saturday night out in the beer garden then out tonight on a Monday for a meal off the main menu. Much improved from poor quality pizzas of before, a hearty meal at very reasonable prices. Service with a smile too, local to the area, looking for a local with great atmosphere and decent food...i think we found it! Highly recommend it.

Goodish pub food. Reasonable prices. Lots of screens if you like football, too many if you don't. Small courtyard for nicer weather. Better than lots at least the staff aren't zombies and food if not exceptional is perfectly edible and reasonably plentiful.

As far as Greene king pubs go thisnis one of the best in town!! Not amazing service, but it's not normally a place that does waiter service...... Greenking doesn't claim to have amazing service or fresh food so....... Ronseal pub!! Don't expect anything too outlandish and you won't be disappointed.

Just wanted pie n a pint didn't expect much. WOW! what a great pub! Special deal of a sandwich of your choice (i had steak - bleue - cheese red onion chutney lettuce) plus excellent chips and lovely fresh salad site PLUS a pint of Greene King IPA all for only £6.00!. You can't get better and very friendly staff. Compliments to all concerned. Highly recommended!

Lovely pub since the refurb. Shame they got rid of the pizza oven and turned it into a Greene King, a bit pricey too but the quiz on Tuesdays is a good craic and there's a garden. I hate sports, and tvs, so on a 'match-day' it's the worst place on earth.
