We heard about the garden house through other people. We thought today that we would give it ago. Very relaxing atmosphere with pleasant staff.
Then out came the food. The portion sizes are amazing and whats even better is the quality of the food was just outstanding.
If you are looking for a new place to eat i suggest you give this place a ring.
We will most certainly be seeing you guys again soon.

E. D.We had booked for a Saturday evening last month as part of 100th Birthday Celebrations for our Mum. Family all enjoyed the great range of authentic American food. Portions are huge, you do need to come hungry. Place has real character, lots of film and pop memorabilia. Service is friendly. Food cooked to order but worth any wait. You know this is not part of corporate chain, prices even in these times are great value. If you enjoy hearty, American themed food cooked by chef who has real passion and pride in what they do, you will not be disappointed.

B. P.What a wonderful place! It isn't marked on many (if any) maps as a PH (Public House) and there are certainly no brown signs directing you to this mecca.
The Garden House is a fantastic place to eat and / or drink. The food is branded as 'American' with an extensive menu ranging from chilli con carne, burgers, wraps, loaded fries to a well-chosen selection and very affordable children's menu.
I don't think it has been a pub for long, hence the omission from old fashioned printed maps, but once you have found it the staff are incredibly attentive and friendly.
It isn't a chain, but they are very family friendly and open all day from 12. It is amazing we didn't see anyone from the Applewood Countryside Park campsite here, but because we had been here a few times before, we knew of its existence and the quality (and quantity) of food never disappoints.
I wholeheartedly recommend this place for its individuality, excellent value for money, very friendly owners and staff, very kid friendly and most importantly open and COVID friendly. It is a wonderful spot with views across to the church. They open from 12pm and don't close in the afternoon. The atmosphere is great and they make everyone feel welcome.
