For a Greene King pub this place is pretty good and has a good couple of guest ales, all kept well. Doesn't serve food mid afternoon but that seems to be a Norwich thing. There are better independent pubs nearby but this is one of the better Greene King pubs I've been too and it's well located as for a pit stop en route

Just popped in for a quick drink last night with my wife after having a dreadful experience at The Junk Yard 🤢 and felt super welcome when we walked in. Never been in b4. The lovely lady behind the bar immediately smiled at us both when we opened a the door and we straight away felt like we were very very welcome. Loved it. Could have sat in there all night. Lovely atmosphere. Thank you.

I don't know what it is about this place, I mean it's next to a mediumly busy road, and the surrounding buildings aren't the prettiest, but I find the place very relaxing. The locals that frequent the place are friendly, the beer is excellent, and of average price. I have never tried the food but I would expect it to be fairly decent. They have a quiz night on Thursdays and everybody in the bar seems to talk to one another. Most years, my wife and I go to Norwich for a couple of days and I always insist that we have a pint here. It has managed to retain the atmosphere of a pub which so many places are sadly lacking nowadays. Oh, I don't know who is in charge of the music in there, but I always like what I hear. Perhaps it's a pub for old gits like me or something but if you are looking for a pub that really feels like a pub and not some sanitised corporate version, get yourself along to this place. If I lived in Norwich, it would be my local.

Lovely pub. Really accommodating. Made us baguettes even though the kitchen was just closing. I used to work there in the 1980s and it was really good to be back.

The staff were lovely and I really liked the atmosphere. The food portions were good with a focus on quality (I loved the chips). Let down by the beer and the prices were very steep. You can get better quality at cheaper prices at pubs in the within a couple of minutes of walking.

Loved the pub. Visited 3 times in the last month. Made to feel very welcome. Table service at the moment. Very attentive staff.

Cozy pub with heated covered internal patio that we came across on Sunday during a weekend visit to Norwich. My partner's pork was a bit chewey but my beef was delicious. Good Yorkshires and selection of veg

The camembert was good, wish I got the camembert burger as it is deep fried in the tiers of coconuts. Will have to get that next time. There are always the same two customers sitting on the same table talking to the bar attendee, its nice the local drunks have a safe enviroment to play in :)
