I. W.The Aldborough Black Boys is a well known (Famous) pub on the Green (Cricket Pitch).
I had a really pleasant experience in the Black Boys today the sun was out, it was hot.
A nice cool OJ and Lemonade with ice was the order of the day.
No Cricket on the green today but I hear the local team is very good.
The landlady was very nice as was the other lady behind the bar.
We didn't try any food today but on previous occasions working outside the aroma of steak and ale pie cooking has almost been too much.
It's a very nice Pub and well worth the visit, thank you to all that made us feel most welcome.

p. d.After our countryside walk with friends we had lunch at the Black Boys, this was our first time and hope to go again.
A real typical country pub, clean.bright and looking fresh.
Very good selection from the menu all at reasonable prices, food was very good and the staff were friendly and polite.
Would highly recommend.

Fantastic view of a picture postcard English village from the outdoor seating.
Friendly member of staff and the drink prices were ok.
Will have to come back and watch a cricket match on the village green!

F.It was great! The service was very nice, one of the waiters (Jason I think their name was) was serving our table. They were very nice and friendly. I liked all the food, my friend said that the steak was some of the best steak they've tasted in a restaurant.

s. l.Nice enough pub and lovely staff......unfortunately the chef was having an off day I think....cheese and bacon burger dry and tasteless....with no bacon 😳......lumpy mash....and fish pie which needed some flavouring! Wouldn't eat here again
P. W.Disappointing. Have eaten here several times here and at the foundry and the meals were poor compared to previous occasions. Service was poor. We were being asked what we wanted to order before we had even sat down and even more annoying the waitress who kept calling me my darling etc. My fish and chip meal appeared identical to a frozen meal from a supermarket and was poor value and poor quality in that it was watery and of little flavour.The cottage pie was again very watery and of little flavour. The baked chilli cod was ok although presentation was without vision. Beer was OK but expensive compared to my local not far away.
Dessert wise the crumble was watery ,the chocolate fudge cake very low end quality. The rice pudding apparently was very good.
I appreciate these are difficult times but I am unlikely now to recommend without reservation in the future. A better experience is very readily available elsewhere

L. A.Had a homemade Nut Roast and it was probably the Nut Roast I've had although mine was slightly different from the other two roasts that were served to our party. Staff were so friendly and helpful and welcoming to our 4 dogs and party of 19!
