Beautiful, cosy, friendly Inn, a must visit if you are on holiday, with dogs very much welcomed too ( in a separate area ). The food is tasty and hot, with a choice of medium or large, and not a very long wait either, you know the food is being cooked well, thanks to them I now love carrots lol ;-)

Absolutely brilliant traditional British pub food. We came 2 nights in a row whilst on holiday and both nights we were really impressed with the food we were served. If we lived locally we would come on a very regular basis. Can't fault it!

We had a little road trip up the coast and while heading home our little one needed a emergency nappy change, we pulled into the pub carpark and started. Just as we finished the lovely lady from the pub popped out to say we could use her bins to dispose of the nappy. I must admit... when i heard her start speaking to my husband my stomach dropped thinking we were being told off for being cheeky using the carpark, but the lady was so kind and offered to help us even though we werent patrons! If we ever come up this way again we will definitely plan on stopping in as the food smelt lovely and hospitality like that is hard to come by. Thank you lovely lady at the New Inn :)

We've only been here twice, but both meals have been really good, their pies are full, excellent homemade short crust pastry, fresh vegetables, chips to die for, well kept, good ales. Thoroughly recommended. Can't wait until they reopen fully.

Lovely pub and in contrast to some other reviews on here I found the staff here were really nice, friendly people and very helpful. Nice to find a friendly pub that welcomes dogs in the bar. Ordered three main meals which were served professionally and in good time. The food was excellent, tasty, cooked well and not too pricey at all. The chunky chips were the best I’ve tasted. Would definitely come back to the New Inn when I visit the area again and would recommend this pub and the food without any doubts.

Have just received our third takeaway delivery from New Inn, delivered promptly (a bit early even!). Can say that this was the best meal so far, two roast dinners with trifle to follow, plenty of everything, a lovely treat in these times.

Nice pub and the staff were friendly but although the food was hot and tasted ok, the service was slow and we witnessed mistakes with orders, including ours. Although they were rectified, we wouldn't chose to eat there again.

Would not return here , we were greeted like naughty children ,in a very aggressive manner ,being asked more than three times had we cleansed our hands had we both logged into the virus site , the welcome was a little off putting , we are aware of the rules to follow and always do but it felt like we were not to be trusted when we answered yes for the upteenth time , it was very quiet ,food ok. But the host needed to learn a customer focused approach with a less doctorial manner

The chef is lovely - wonderful and full of fun - in fact her food is splendid! BUT - The staff service isn't so good and It's not that they don't get your food right for you because they do and it's pleasant food - but - it's the air of attitude when being served, not a smile, dead-pan looks, huffing and puffing when orders aren't forthcoming, things being too much trouble! I.e. The veggie roast being identical price as the vegan roast - my friend asked for one extra potatoe as the Yorkshire pudding is a no go and it just seemed an issue. We went with a party of 8 and I paid good money that night and food was good but please beat the head waitress with a happy stick!

Place was almost empty which was surprising as it's on a main route to Cromer. Bar was well stocked. Lady serving was very pleasant. Husband and I both had the chili con carne which was really good. We will likely pop in here again.

First visit at The New Inn, Roughton. Glad we went, the food was delicious, and freshly cooked. I had salmon with Hollandaise sauce, and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. The prices are good and well worth the drive to get there.

I was looking for a place to eat on a Friday night - the last night of a weeks camping in West Runton - with my wife, son and grandson and came upon this place. What a gem. The food choice was excellent and varied with choices of oriental and firm English favourites (including my favourite Liver and Bacon), all reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and even spent time playing with my grandson while our food was being prepared. No need to look any further and I will be definitely calling in again next time we holiday on the North Norfolk coast.
