Great beer, great food and lovely staff. An extension to the hotel next door, this pub has several levels and nooks and crannies. It offers a great choice of nice beers, avoiding the c**p stuff. Plus some great food at sensible prices. Feels like a local.
L. D.
Lovely atmosphere, felt like a local even though we'd never been before, great selection of rock/alternative music been played too! The food was fantastic and the drinks reasonably priced, especially for a city centre establishment!
Friendly staff, it's an absolute gem of a pub.
The only comments I could make are the door to the outside seating is very loud when it closes, so some form of cushioning to reduce the noise would be great, the addition of a speaker in the area this door is in would also be fantastic! It's possible to hear the music from the bar area, but it's faint.

Great pub! We spent few hours in the place, they have good selection of beers and nice place to sit

I just popped in for a drink with my wife and friends. It was a very nice pint I had. Nice decor. We looked at the menu out of curiosity, and it looks like a good selection

Welcoming pub with separate dining area. Staff were superb. Food was tasty and good portions for the price. We look forward to going again soon.

Me and my partner came here last night, we booked because of the inclusive vegan options only when we got to the venue they said they had changed the menu and there was only risotto to choose from as a vegan. The risotto was lovely though and my partner said his food was nice too!
When my food came out, it was also served with a side salad. The salad had a bit of sauce on which I thought nothing of, as I looked closer I noticed there was some cheese in the salad (baring in mind I had told the person serving us I was vegan). I know this sounds quite minor but if I was someone who had severe allergies to cows milk it could have been more serious.. just a word of advice to be extra careful with dietary requirements.

We had a meal for 2 from a 'gourmet experience' voucher. I would call the menu quite average, the food we had was good, however you need to pay close attention to the menu if you have allergies and even double check with the staff anyway.
The vegan soup was cream of vegetable, a substitute tomato was offered. The salad with the main meal arrived with a honey mustard dressing, no mention on the menu. As mustard is one of the 14 allergens that must be listed it's a bit worrying, never mind the fact that we don't like mustard. If you don't eat dairy there was no dessert available (see photos) every dessert had some form of dairy in it. Similarly the starter menu is very limiting if you don't eat dairy or shellfish.
The staff were good, polite and helpful, the menu needs work.

Superb beer quality & choice with a delicious version Stroganoff for a tenner. (Beer 4 nicker a pint which isn’t bad for Nottingham City Centre)

Lovely food and friendly bar staff! Located in a beautiful, historical part of Nottingham, this boozer is definitely worth a visit!

Nice comfy cozy bar, fantastic lunch (sandwiches are gorgeous) and good drink selection. Well placed for the caves and justice museum. Decor in the room we were in was nice and quirky, loved the pictures!

Had a pretty good Sunday lunch here, although some definite areas for improvement. On the plus side, we were a group of ten, and our pre-ordered food was served promptly and without any problems. Several of the mains looked fantastic and the people who had them said they were delicious - the pie and the roast beef Sunday lunch went down particularly well.
The downsides: four of us had the vegan roast, which really paled in comparison to the meat one. First of all the vegan sunday lunch arrived and was a lentil cottage pie, not the vegan tart it says on the online menu; no one told us it would be different. It came with kale, sad boiled vegetables and red cabbage. The meat option came with all those vegetables, plus a yorkshire pudding, gravy, roast potatoes and a separate cauliflower cheese, for the same price. A vegetarian/vegan option ought to have alternatives, not just most of the dish taken away. Wouldn't have thought it'd be that hard to at least do some vegetarian-friendly roast potatoes or gravy.
The desserts weren't great and the pizza was quite terrrible. It looked and tasted like a cheap supermarket oven pizza.
We only had one waiter and he did a great job of looking like he really didn't want to be there. Never smiled, when we asked if they had any vegetarian gravy he said 'there is no vegetarian gravy' and walked away, plonked a bottle of white wine down without pouring it or giving us a cooler.
It was a shame a few of the courses and the slightly surly staff let the meal down as lots of our group really enjoyed their meal (and they'd probably rate it higher than three stars). The room we were in was nice (once we asked them to turn the giant tv showing ITV off) and £15 for a sunday lunch, dessert and alcoholic is undeniably a really good deal.

Went here for lunch today, absolutely lovely food at a great price!! 🍴😋 The lady that served us was lovely, I don't know her name, but our booking was 13th of May one o'clock, so who ever was working then was really nice and helpful. 😁
Food was bought out quickly and was really hot!!
Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Nottingham!!

Went in for a drink about 9pm on a Friday night but felt quite quiet and atmosphere was a bit "flat". Good beer selection but more suited for a relaxed pint than as part of a night out which is fine and obviously suited to being attached to a hotel.

Small-medium real ale pub with 4-5 real ales.
Really nice decor fitting for where it is located in the lace Market. Camra card welcomed. My never try anything first stance failed me this time as they had a blueberry mocha Stout on which sounded nice. It wasn't oops. Multiple rooms make the property even more appealing.
P. C.
Great staff, a bit upmarket for my usual taste but it's a great little hidden gem in a lovely street of Nottingham.
A. H.
Lovely pub nr the galleries of justice ideal for starting ur trip around the lace Market.
H. H.
enjoyed a delicious vegan meal- jackfruit tacos and " chicken" tacos. tasteful decor with great art on the walls. Really intimate little pub that felt a bit like a well kept secret. great service from friendly, sociable staff. social distancing/ track and trace/ face mask wearing in place but measures weren't rammed down your neck by staff, which we like because we're grown ups. will definitely return.

Great range of beers and lovely warm, comfy surroundings. Also ideal location in Hockley.
S. B.
Great 10% ale deleted scene by lazy bay a Nottingham micro..left over from a tap takeover at the weekend being sold at a very reasonable rate tonight! Generally looks good with a range of bottles/ tins to supplement the draught ales
M. T.
Lovely venue and great ambiance for a simple drink or a bite to eat.
K. L.
Beer was excellent, quickly and politely served by Betty in her first week! 100% recommend for a quality drink!
J. R.
Great choice of beer and nice staff
D. H.
Ver quiet on night, only one in bar, beer good tho
A. B.
Good pub with strong range of beers
Service quite slow (have to ring weird bell and wait for restaurant staff to come over)
Nice historic leaded window
J. M.
Not eaten there but always a great pub venue for good ales in classic old school pub surroundings. Staff always friendly too.
J. A.
Great meal, service and wine ...lovely venue
D. R.
Lovely beer & surroundings but lose a star for a double g&t being so expensive
A. B.
Quieter pub to end the evening but just don’t go for a whisky, outrageously priced Balvenie at £7.50 a shot and there’s no prices up for you to see either!
M. A.
Have just spent a thoroughly enjoyable evening here with friends. Great food, I had the burger which was huge and delicious. Lovely relaxed feel. Very attentive staff during the meal but not overbearing, never left waiting at the bar for long. All in all would thoroughly recommend.
R. V.
Came here for a small party, which was held downstairs. Lovely, intimate space. Staff friendly and good pub food. Ambience is very welcoming as soon as you enter with soft armchairs and lighting. Staff were helpful too. This was a Tuesday eve can imagine it being a bit of a squeeze on a Friday, Saturday etc though.

Impromptu family lunch on a Wednesday lunchtime in March. Very relaxed. Great food. Great choice of beers. Baby changing facilities were great for my daughter and grandson. The staff were very friendly and professional. Highly recommended. We look forward to going back.

Nice service. Bit quiet. Great if that's what you're looking for. Nice outdoor area that, bizarrely, you can't smoke in...
M. R.
Don't be misled by how small this pub looks on the outside, there is a quirky selection of differently decorated rooms inside. Food is lovely and reasonably priced, is part of the Lace Market Hotel next door but runs as it's own little business. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Warm and welcoming.
J. W.
Perfectly compact, traditional wood panneled pub with a real fire. I especially like the seating downstairs, which was where we held one of our staff social events for around 20 people, which went down well. The menu is a selection of well made pub classics and the Sunday roast is delicious and a bargain with a drink.
N. M.
Not been here in years, but glad to return today. Great selection of real ales and craft beers. Knowledgeable and friendly bar staff and a great tasting fish finger sandwich. On oasis in town and great value....
T. N. O.
Today I visited Nottingham picked this pub to have a drink. Nice selection of beers .Also had a bite to eat a burger very good friendly staff. : ) Thankyou!
H. W.
Very lovely pub in the Lace Market. The staff are wonderful in person and on the phone. The selection of ale is always superb and excellently kept.
J. C.
Nice bar. I threshing range of beers. Relaxed atmosphere. Tasty food.
N. T.
This tiny little pub bolted onto the Lace Market Hotel is easily missed, and what a shame that would be. Small, comfy, intimate and lovely, the beer is great and the ambience lets you sink into the comfy furniture to recharge. £2.50 for any real ale on Mondays. Staff are uniformly excellent. There's a nice little basement area too, giving the venue more capacity than you'd think. It's a step away from the bustle of the Lace Market and a little haven to escape from the busy-ness of the day or the cold of the night.
R. H.
This is a hotel bar and the barman is like a concierge. Amenable beer prices, i take out of towners there..Great stretch with Brass a few doors down
j. A.
A nice, quiet little spot for a peaceful pint away from the busier pubs in the area. The music could be softer and more mellow, but they have a good, if small variety of drinks, and a few cosy spots to sit.
K. P.
Great service with good local beers. Very clean.
G.
This is the public bar for the adjacent Lace Market Hotel. A pleasant, quiet atmosphere. Appears to be frequented more by hotel guests than locals. Reasonable range of keg beers, though nothing particularly exciting.
J. R.
Food was ok our of 4 people 3 was ok.the steak was cooked with loads of pepper. And the person can't stand pepper we was not told it is cooked with pepper
K. B.
Always have a good real ale selection. Friendly service. Lovely part of the Lace Market. Comfy and inviting inside. Need to try their food.
N. H.
Great pub, wonderful cosy atmosphere hidden away from the busy centre. We stopped here as a group of 10 for drinks on a Saturday evening. Would definitely recommend.

Great value for money. Had lunch with three friends. Sandwich, skinny chips, glass of wine and cup of coffee for £10.50 each. Lovely really nice staff and surroundings too.
C. S.
Amazing food for the price on a Sunday. Probably the biggest Yorkshire pudding I've had in Notts. Staff are friendly. Book in advance.
G. D.
25% vegan menu and the B12 burger was amazing. More places should be like this without having to struggle for a vegan choice or something that is a mushroom dish.
A. W.
Amazed to find Cask Ale Monday is on, still serving pints at £2.50.
D. T.
Looks the part with Tudor style exterior and wonderful glass panelled windows, good selection of beers and good price in the week for craft
L. S.
I found it relaxing and l sat by an open fire place. Really cool place.

Pub attached to the Lace Market Hotel. Good selection of ales and lagers. Bar room very cosy, adjacent room lacking in atmosphere.

Just stopped off for a quick glass of red. Nice relaxed atmosphere on a feel a night - which is hard to find in town on a weekend! Wish it was as cosy throughout as it is as you enter by the fire.
C. C.
Loads of cracking beers to try.

Just what we needed!! Right in town/ Lace Market but feels like you're in a country pub!
M. M.
Yeah great little place first visit had private corner family catch up pizza was good enjoyed my gin a Pepsi 😋 intend to go back
J. O.
A bit expensive for what it is.... not a bad pint, but not worth £4 - several of the bitters on offer were quite a bit more expensive than this. #notgoingback!
