K. R.Lovely Food, Lovely Staff.
We had a reception for a first communion & everything was wonderful. Reserved area,table cloths, jugs of water & juice, ice bucket with wine.
Food was ordered in advance & was all brought out hot & delicious. Staff could not be more helpful & kind. They even allowed us to drop off a cake in advance to bring out for desert.
Great day, can't praise highly enough. Brilliant.
g. m. (.5 stars given for the two meals, both of which were really nice. We were in quite early for lunch but by the time we left the pub was really busy with food customers, so it is popular. Don't be put off the exterior appearance as it's worth a visit. Once inside the interior is also shabby, but I fully understand that it costs Mega bucks to refurbish a place this big and some pockets aren't deep especially after these Covid times.
L. B.Haven't been for a while but popped in with two of my daughter's seeing as I was in Arnold. Very helpful and friendly staff. The food was great value and tasted great. Served by Jennifer at the bar and she made ordering easy.
J. S.A group of us went for the first bottomless brunch on sat 29th it was brill. To say it was their first time they did really well as we kept the staff really busy with our drinks orders. Food was beautiful and my steak was cooked perfectly. Even though brunch was 90 minutes we weren't rushed to leave when we had finished. Thank you to all the staff. Cant wait for the next one 😀😀.
G. S.we regularly visit the friar tuck in Arnold. we make various visits as a couple, family, extended family and also for work purposes so anything from 2 people to 35+ people. We always enjoy it whenever we go whether its for a few drinks or for food. The staff are great and always welcoming no matter the size of our group. The food is always 100% we have never had reason to complain. Thank you to everyone for the great work you do. Gill and Steph and the red knights team.
a. w.Great meal out for my birthday, 11 of us out and all the food came out hot and tasty. Been coming for years and it’s always welcoming. Great selection of drinks and never a bad meal, staff are always brilliant. Get yourself down there!

M.We came today as a table of 12 for a family meal (adults and very excited children) we had a lovely experience and really enjoyed it the staff were lovely and the food was perfect we expected a few mix ups with it being a big order but it was all perfect no problems at all and it was e joyed by everyone. Staff were very patient with the children too especially as they could get a little hyper at times. A fantastic experience all round and we will definitely come again. Thankyou x

B. N.I visited a few days ago with my Mum and was given an excellent service. The food was not only delivered in great time, but was genuinely impeccable as it was so fresh, flavoursome and tops many other pubs that I've been to. Everybody who served me were efficient and patient, including AJ who was helpful and kind to me. Will definitely attend again as I loved every minute.

A. S.I've never felt like a local at a pub and finally I've had the feeling of being welcomed in by my first name. Lynne has followed my pregnancy and made me feel completely welcome in our new local... shes takes every attention to detail to remember my three children and partner by first name.. the pub always has a relaxed atmosphere... thwyhave brilliant events on intermittently which we have been able to enjoy.... the food is always great when we cant be bothered to cook at home. Just a great pub. No fear of any fights breaking out. Lynne is strict enough to turn certain people away thus ensuring peace for her regulars and newcomers.....she quite obviously takes pride in the staff she employs as they are all super friendly and good at their jobs. Recommend this pub day in and day out.

M. R.Had never been before but was going for a family birthday meal we were invited to.
For a cheap and cheerful place it was exactly that. Slightly disappointed my corn on the cob was missing from my meal but then I couldn't finish the whole thing anyway.
Staff were all very pleasant and then karaoke started in the bar wishing I was drinking and not driving to pluck up the courage to have a go.
Would certainly visit again if I was in the area

C.I was just expecting the usual pub grub and was pleasantly surprised how nice the food was! I ordered a medium rare 4oz steak with salad and the steak was cooked perfectly. My partner had the Hunter's chicken sizzler which also tasted really nice. We shared a side of delicious Mac n cheese. The portions were great, didn't feel overstuffed after eating.
I was also amazed that they had Dr Pepper Zero as a drink choice! My fave pop!

The disabled parking was good with fairly easy entry and exit. Staff very helpful and friendly food was good we had the Sunday roast ,very well presented

P. S.For a Greene King pub that I last went to in the 70s with my dad it was a surprise. The food was good infact better than good, the landlady is by far the best I have found and the atmosphere was layed back. I asked her for mustard and she said she had not non, but 3 minutes later she had found me the last. I can't fault them. Thanks Friar Tuck.

S. K.It was ok. There was a ton of seats and the lady seated us right by the bar, where service was taking drinks. Annoyed me to be honest because we sat there for 1.5 hours and about 6 people came in.

The food was pretty good to be honest waffle chips with cheese and buffalo sauce was really good.
As I say was let down by being placed by the service counter. This place is really big and we got the rubbish seats in the house. It's like being stuck near a toilet in a restaurant: who really wants the constant interruptions.
I'd probably for the waffle fries 😂

S.Nice pub with good atmosphere. Ordered Hunters Chicken and Rump Steak. Chicken was very tasty although the steak was very dry. Had to give three stars as we had to wait 40minutes for the food to be served due to chef shortage on a Saturday Afternoon! Good parking on site.

K. W.Sunday night visit with elderly mother. It was packed due to France playing. They were out of Sunday dinner and had limited food left unless you like steak or burgers. Its cheap and cheerful. The staff are excellent. A couple of blokes were being rowdy nearby but the manageress had a quiet word. Normally they do fajitas and steak. Normally Sunday dinner is plentiful. I will go again.

a. v.Always good value for money. Go there quite often and food always well cooked and largely portioned. Can recommend. Staff friendly and also efficient. Furnishings possibly could do with updating as looking worse for wear. But still a good place to eat.

M.Good local traditional style local pub ideal for informal drinks with friends or family. Has some booth type seats. Plenty of big tables.
The trend for upmarket pubs with upmarket prices is spreading but this is one of the few pubs left in Arnold with a pool table and sports on TV which makes a nice change. For a 'chain pub' (Flaming Grill) its a decent place to eat and drink, food is good but not as cheap and as kurcj choice Wetherspoons. But staff are friendly.
B.Food is as good as expected from price, quantity over quality, but nothing wrong with the food. Service was efficient. Tables clean and plenty of sauces available. Staff friendly too.

C.Been coming here a while, nowhere better in Arnold for proper grill food at a decent price. Nice atmosphere, can get a bit rowdy when a sporting event is on but its not too bad. Kid friendly with a nice outdoor area with picnic benches. The food is the real draw; insane challenge plates, wings and burgers straight from the grill and bonkers stuff like scampi-topped fries and a steak with pizza toppings!

S.Ate here a few times and had no problem and food is very nice for a pub but today I had a mixed grill and the steak was very RARE(almost blue) so i showed the manager the steak who said it was RARE and i agreed with him and was about to explain i had ordered it MEDIUM/RARE but as soon as i said the word MEDIUM, an elderly bar maid joined in from behind the bar and said you ordered it MEDIUM/RARE(which it wasn't, as me and the manager both agreed it was "RARE") so i thought it was quite rude of her(and i told her so) because all that had to be done was to throw it back on the griddle for another couple of min's which they did and it was then fine but the landlord also looked quite miserable and offered no apologies for the undercooked steak and just took it and marched off so it seems to me that the staff and management are great when all is fine but a bit on the rude side if you complain or send something back (even when it's an easy fix like mine(keep up on the good food but you really need to brush-up on your people skills

Panuje tutaj rodzinna atmosfera, zawsze jest wesoło i bardzo miło. Personel i właściciele lokalu zawsze radośni i pomocni. Wyśmienite jedzenie w bardzo dobrej cenie. Jesli juz raz tutaj zamówisz jedzenie to napewno wrócisz wielokrotnie:)
Rodzinna, przyjacielska atmosfera , wiele rodzin z dziećmi nadaje temu miejscu wiele ciepła i radości. Szczerze polecam 🙂🙂
