J. N.First visit in a while and was with my grown up son who had never been here. Great that the cricket was on the TV as that was what we wanted. Also had great cider and beer options available. Garden space is great and I can't recommend enough. Will definitely be going back on a regular basis.

P. D.Traditional pub. No frills. Just good beer in good condition and tasty food to compliment. On the cusp of the University campus and Queens medical Centre it is geared towards academia. And to top it all, they serve Nottingham brewery beer 🍺
M. O.A good sports bar in Nottingham. A range of matches on the many screens. And the local sports teams all came for grub. Does a mean pub quiz too. Nice spot.

s.Went for a meal whilst waiting for car tyres, usually go with work mates, today was just a large coke and southen fried chicken burger, good sized meal in a decent place, watching sport for an hour, can recommend it.

C. Ó. C.I attend this pub on a weekly basis for their free pub quiz on Tuesdays. This place doesn't win marks for decoration but the staff are friendly, they have a frequently rotated range of guest ales and it's all very well priced. They serve food too. Again it's not restaurant level gastronomy but it's a good feed. I've never been unhappy when drinking here and I have to say it's a hell of a lot better than some pubs I've been to.

P.Lovely Pub! Great choice of vegan pies. I had the Tamarind Pie and my soon-in-law had the squash pie. My daughters had the vegetarian dinners - all very nice and great real ale. A comfortable relaxed pub with music on in the evenings. Highly Recommended.

Lots of local ales and frequent beer festivals to try something new. Quiz nights, music festivals and screens for large sporting events/Eurovision style shows means there's usually something going on.
Lagers and other drinks also available for anyone who isn't into their ales.

S. S.Lovely chilled out pub with great beer, friendly staff and really good food. The beer garden is ace in the summer. Random cool stuff: a cat; board games; books; random live music; a Dalek; Bacon Fries; Poppets!
B. H.Lovely staff, good prices, friendly environment, with a cool beer garden. They do events for stuff every now and again, certainly worth adding to your annual pub crawl, or Considering for your new local :)
J. W.Still enjoyable after the management change but I do miss the quirky charm that JA had before that set it apart from most other pubs. It feels much more standard now and apart from the beer garden it's more similar to sitting in the White Hart now.
I'd love to see a mix up in the music played a bit (standard current pop now) and also would really hope for a designated smoker area outside so that non smokers can sit in comfort! Will still be a regular though!
M. G.The best pub in Lenton. The bar staff are friendly, there's always a good range of drinks. The Sunday Roasts are quite possibly the best in Nottingham, service is quick and serving size is big, but not too big. Great theme nights, open mic and a good place to hear new musicians cut their teeth.

D. S.Great roomy pub with varied inside locations. As at Christmas 2018 all real ales (well kept) £3 a pint plus good lager and bottled cider selection. Sky Sports and BT Sport. Coal/Wood burner fireplace. Sunday roast available plus other hours. Out back there's a good covered decked area & nice garden for sunny days. Easy nearby back street parking after 6pm and all day sunday. Opposite QMC hospital, non-Derby Road side. A well run establishment.
R. B.A nice cozy local, tends to be popular with quieter students and Phd's as well as a fair contingent of locals and hospital staff. A good selection of changing ales and lovely bar staff make this a firm favourite of the many people to pass through it's doors.

P.Used to be a legendary pub, but it has transformed into a sterile chain pub. Prices are decent and staff are nice, but it has severly lost its charm.

The JA is a hit in particular with student societies so there's always a young crowd there and the staff are really welcoming to this which makes it an all-round nice environment to be in.
