It's a great little pub, with loads of history (been there since 1823) and a lovely 'locals' friendly atmosphere.

A little outside the main city centre of Nottingham, so it always feels like going to a destination. Wide range of beers, lagers and ciders always available and well kept too. Mixture of locals, but newer faces seem to settle in nicely too! Sky Sports or equivalent often available on a Saturday, but kept at a moderate volume so you’re not yelling to your fellow drinkers. Best of all is the upstairs roof garden, which on a sunny day is a pleasure to be there.

The King Billy (don't know what this King William IV nonsense is!) is a great pub, probably the best boozer in Nottingham. A real mix of people and a great range of beer. Lovely roof top beer garden too. But this review is about the pizzas they've just started doing. God, they're good. Chewy wholemeal sourdough bases, fresh mozzarella (made on site from local cows milk) and great toppings. Veggie and vegan options. The best is the Napoli: anchovies, capers, mozzarella, parmigiano and San Marzano tomatoes - a savoury delight. And the ever changing specials are always inventive. Served Wednesday to Saturday 4 - 10. Bloody great.

Friendly staff. I like mild, stouts and porters unfortunately the choice was of only one stout. Mostly light coloured beers on offer . I know lots of people are happy with that. Truly brilliant pub on the outskirts of Nottingham. I have been working a lot in Nottingham recently and living in London, it is so refreshing to visit a pub which has absolutely no pretension whatsoever. Clientele is an unusual mix of "older blokes" and a young, arty hipster crowd. Not sure how they managed that but I love it! Fantastic beer. Will be coming back. A lot!

Great traditional style pub, with a generally older crowd. Good selection of real ales. Rooms upstairs that accommodate a pool table and dart board. Even set up to allow you to plug your own devices in via aux cable and listen to the music you want to listen to. Very pleasant place for a quiet drink and extremely friendly staff.

Cool kind of grungey arty pub. I haven't been enough to rate it for what it has going on but there seems to be loads happening there a the time. They have a really big range of beers etc and rooms that you can hire for stuff. Seems like one of those places that is a real hub for interesting people.
