Absolutely a positive. Great crowd and music. Top atmosphere. It's why we often end up there on our rare nights in town. You can count on seeing old familiar faces.
T. T. 3.Popped in for a quick drink for a friend's birthday before heading out for a meal. Staff were so friendly and everything about the place screams ROCK!!! Unfortunately weren't able to stay for the live music but will definitely try and head back up there at some point for it. Rock on guys and girls. 🎸🎸🎸
E. G.The Tap is somewhere I’ve been drinking for a long, long time (early 00’s) and though I don’t make it in as often as I did back then, it’s always a comfortable, welcoming and nostalgic place to have a drink or 3.
I especially need to make more of an effort for a lunch time pint since it’s just around the corner from my office now!

S. B.Rock and Heavy Metal pub so it all depends on your taste I guess. Certainly has its place in the Nottingham nightlife scene. Beer selection is grand and just look at that tankard glass! I am proof that you don't have to be a huge heavy metal fan to enjoy a few ales in here.

The one real downside is it seems to be a little more expensive than other bars nearby. It ended up being the dearest bar of the night tbh.

S. F.We stayed in Nottingham for my Partner's birthday and what fun we had, we spent the night of his birthday at this wonderful pub, this is another we usually pop into while in Nottingham. Drinks prices are reasonable, staff are friendly and quick on their feet to keep every customer happy. The music is good, we do enjoy this bar. Definitely recommend.

S. B.Quite an old bar, well known for being a rock music pub. Gives an impression of being a bit rough and ready, but has great character. There is a decent selection of beers and other drinks. Very popular when live music is on and if you're into rock music give it a try, very easily accessed in the heart of town.

J. H. S. -. M.Great Rock N Metal Ale Bar... Sometimes, a little too busy at weekends to get served, but hey-ho, "Rock n Roll". I have met some nice faces in there and have made quieter drinking hours of pleasure during an afternoon shift, whilst passing through town. Also, Bob is a HUGE Faith No More fan and into Mr Bungle, too. Works for me. Sometimes, I will take the odd photo around the stage area of different bands and groups. Good atmosphere... Enjoy!

The Jukebox is all metal and rock - an absolute bonus if you ask me 🤘😊🤘, the staff are awesome and the atmosphere is amazing!! Definitely worth a visit, I know we're overdue one but we will be back!! K. Y.Great little pub for old rock fans like me! To some, it might seem dark, cramped and slightly scruffy but really, that just adds to the atmosphere. Good range of drinks including local beers, some good music playing in the background, and a well-placed venue for pre-show drinks. Oh, and the retro arcade machine is a definite plus!
J. S. B.It's absolutely brilliant. Great service from friendly staff. The music when live is amazing and the juke box has a spectacular variety of songs. All round it's the best place to be for either a live concert or a chilled out afternoon/evening/night.

M. A. (.Great rock and metal bar, an absolute pleasure and legendary place for those in Nottingham. It is still a stalwart for the alternative scene and so very welcoming.
Prices are reasonable for Nottingham, great pool table and easy access to bar and facilities. If disabled had no real issues with access.
Staff always polite and presentable, the place is clean and tidy. Bathrooms always clean.
Good range of drinks and music. The pub is also a great venue for live music.

G. T. 1.If its Rock music you want then this is the place. Regular bands to watch for free mainly Fiday/Saturday. One of the 'go to' places for a swift pint before a gig at Rock City around the corner. Can get pretty full but that adds to the atmosphere 😊

I. M.A well established rock pub in the centre of Nottingham. Alot of people use this place as a pre/post rock city venue as it is a stone's throw away. Live bands on every Friday. A great drink selection. And great atmosphere.

What a place - the music was awesome and loud - very loud! The beer was also good - real beer as well as the usual suspects! If you want it loud - the Tap & Tumbler is for you!

Beer was ok... nice to see the barrels are still there to sit on when youre having your second ciggy to try and avoid as much conversation as possible. Nothing much has changed but theres more graffitti in the ladies now... which served as reading material while i was pretending to take ten minutes peeing. Stella when served a nice stella glass is real easy to down when you wanna make a swift exit. Nice to see some places don't change much and still remain a lovely place to meet and chat and drink. As ever. Great music. Would've prefered it a bit louder to drown out a certain person but hey ho.

The bar gets very busy when bands are on. An excellent place to go if you are into loud ROCK music!
