M. T.What a great pub. We have driven past the Springfield so many times, but had never visited, until now. What a fantastically situated pub. We sat outside in the gardens and it was great, it was quiet, clean and well maintained. The pub itself is tastefully set out and it makes you want to go in the evening. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. It is well priced and the food is fantastic, if you are a fan of a burger, then treat yourself to their signature burger, it looks and tastes superb. We will definitely be going again and I would suggest that everyone else gives it a try. A real hidden gem.

Full English was delicious and quality, 1 of the nicest breakfasts I've had in a very long time.
I'll be back to try the regular menu, because if their breakfast is that good, the rest must be amazing.

e. r.Great food experience and a learning curve ,I had the beef rib with misso butter and when it came out I'd mistaken the butter for oil .somehow my head thought it would be in a piece and not in the sauce well when I realised what it was courtesy of the manager it was absolutely delicious I would have again ,the waiter mangit I think his name was had only started a week ago and was really nice and even popped back to get us another drink .would recommend
P. H.This is a great place but easily missed unless you are looking for it as it is set back off the main carriageway. It has an ample car park anda large beer garden.

M. M.We booked for Sunday lunch last week and asked if we could bring our dog. We had a lovely spot in the bar and our dog was provided with biscuits and a water bowl on arrival. The roast beef Sunday lunch was beautiful. The staff were extremely friendly and the service was spot on. They even cooked our dog 3 sausages of her own. We had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. I have an elderly mother and a child with special needs. The staff could not have been more accommodating. Would definitely recommend. We will be visiting again.

A good selection of wines and lagers etc. and although well kept and very nice, only Marston's Pedigree on draught, for the real ale lovers.
The room we had for the night was cosy and warm and along with the bathroom it was well cleaned. If I were staying more than two nights however I'd have preferred a larger room with more suitcase storage area etc. Our guests room was definitely larger, so worth asking about for a longer stay.

Fortunately there was no fire as they assumed it malfunctioned 🤔 otherwise comfortable beds and clean, would return.

We were alloud to move another table with an umbrella closer to cover all of us as we have 3 children; so one just wasn't big enough to cover us all. My family and I felt well looked after and the Sunday roast was wonderful; plenty of veg, great cuts of meat and perfect Yorkshire’s!

I've visited Springfield several times and had a fantastic experience each time as well. Meals have all been of great quality, well presented and more importantly, they tasted great too.

S. T.Very quiet Sunday afternoon apparently due to it being barbecue weather. Food was delicious, always is, just the Sunday roast portions are dismal. Doesn't stop me going there, I just order something else. Waiter very chatty and attentive.
Mentioned the loose toilet seat!! Could have been a nasty mishap but anyhow, good food, nice surroundings all in all it was OK.

The food is amazing and such a great price it makes it hard to resist coming in instead of cooking after a long day... the staff are amazing and so friendly and could not do enough for you even when rushed off there feet. Amy the manager(noted on the bored outside the door) is an absolute credit to the company for running such a great pub and team... I will definitely return as it's always a pleasure to see smiling faces ... thank you so much for such a great experience every visit...

J.Just called in for a bite to eat ended up having there special Menu had the Gammon, eggs and chips. Wow what a lovely meal never expected so much food it was all cooked beautifully and the service you couldn't get any better in a top restuarant . My husband had the Pizza off the normal menu and loved it to.(complements to the chef for both meals) Unbeliveable the Special Menu may only have a few things on but it was only £5 but you can't beat it.
All covid rules and regs being carried out really well too.

G. H.Mmm.. the place itself is nice. I had the Sticky Ribs to start. 4 ribs on a plate that were not sticky. For main I had the Hunters Chicken. The chicken breast was so flat that the bacon on top looked thicker. Not sure if I had triple cooked chips or the chunky chips that everyone on the table got. I finished with the Apple Pie. The taste was masked slightly by the flavour from the sprig of mint, placed on top, that managed to permeate into parts of the dish. Not too impressed

A. C.I've come to the conclusion here that you shouldn't order the burgers.
Generally I'm quite a fan of the Springfield, and have visited on several occasions. When I've not gone for a burger, I've generally come out pretty satisfied. Pies, fish & chips etc. have all been good. Whenever I've plumped for a burger, thinking I must have been unlucky before, it's always come out comparatively cold - and has just generally not been up to the same scratch as the rest of the menu. I'd honestly always rate a wetherspoon burger much higher, and that's after several separate attempts here. I've also had these thoughts backed up by others.
Drinks are good, there's a decent variety available on the menu. Just be wary of deal menus - as the clarity as to pricing of certain options (particularly things that are just marked as "big enough to share") is about as visible as a contact lens in a bubble bath.
Deserts are pretty good, although the amount of custard provided could do with a bit more consistency. Some dishes come out with plenty - but make the wrong choice and you'll run out with your second spoonful.
C. C.Food was very nice and whilst not breaking the bank it wasn't cheap ;) There was a good variety including a couple of slightly unusual options. Good drinks menu, again not cheap but not a skank either. Place was very clean and service excellent but not the quickest on the food (it was reasonably busy but yeah). Lots of parking but it dominates the exterior a bit.

E. S.What a lovely relaxing place for something to eat and drink. During the winter months they have a real log fire which is amazing to sit next to with a frothy cappuccino. Wish I lived closer to visit more often as they let dogs in the bar, my Rover would love curling up near the fire.

C. H.What an excellent find. We were late bookers, and there wasnt much choice for our date, but decided this was our best bet. We were made extremely welcome on arrival by a very friendly young man and then shown to our very nice clean and well presented room. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was slightly dated in decor but very clean with new white towels. Very competitive price.
We booked dinner in the restaurant which was delicious and served by another very friendly and charming man. The bar had a buzzy feel and again was spotlessly clean and decorated very tastefully. They couldnt do enough for us. Amazing Value.
I would highly recommend this hotel. Dont be put off by the car park !

R.On Boxing Day this year we visited the Springfields for our lunch.There were six of us in the party and we found the atmosphere warm and friendly and the staff helpful.However my wife’s Turkey dinner was cold, my Monk fish was under cooked and rubbery,the mussels were minuscule.My son and wife also thought the Monkfish was rubbery.We were disappointed but it didn’t spoil our Boxing Day.
