Most in-the-know describe Hank's as the best night out in Oxford city centee. Can't argue with that. Definitely an excellent social bar with great cocktails & music/DJs and room to dance. Can be a long queue outside after 11pm. Highly recommended.

I found it very cold inside with the air con on. - it was a very hot day. The toilets upstairs was warm. Will bring a coat next time. Service was lovely though.

If you are looking for a bar with dancing this may be the place to go. It is loud and a younger crowd 20s and 30s. If you are looking for a quite mellow place, Hanks is not your scene. But if you are looking to party and dance your pants off, Hanks is your place.

Okay so I really like this venue, the staff is super friendly and professional, and the cocktails are very tasty. However, sometimes I do find the music a bit too loud (but maybe that's just me).

Decent bar that I am told turned into a nightclub after hours (not during COVID). Giving it 4 stars as the staff are needlessly brusque and seem to be in a rush to turnover tables. Drinks are reasonably priced if on the high end for Oxford.

Me and my boyfriend came for a few impromptu celebratory drinks on Tuesday and had a fab time. Had a couple cocktails off the menu which were lovely but fancied something a bit different so the bar staff very kindly made us a few classic cocktails and they were all spot on. Staff were really friendly and helpful especially the first young guy that served us. (meant to ask his name so I could mention but I forgot! Sorry) we ended up staying in Oxford much longer than intended as we were really enjoying our time in Hanks. 100% will be back.

Lovely atmosphere, has a vintage feel to it with lovely staff. Drinks menu is extensive and the pours are very generous. Upstairs can be rented and is great for a birthday or small gathering. Highly recommend, the demographic does change drastically through the night just so you've been warned!

Usually playing terrible music, overcrowded, takes ages to get a drink and expensive. However in Covid times they're doing a good job of social distancing, people have to be seated at a table, it's table service only and open until 3am so it's a good choice for a late drink. Small entry fee to get in.

Went on a Monday after a works Christmas dinner. There was a really lively atmosphere, not too packed. Quick service at the bar and good choice of cocktails. Music was also great. All in all was a great night out.

Reliable late night venue. Well run, always a light atmosphere, plenty of cheese and surprisingly decent beer. Great bar staff, patient! Plenty of seating too if you're old like me.

The cocktails are pretty good, prices are high and they always cram as many people in a physically possible later on in the night. This has lead me to being at the bar for over an hour waiting to get a small expensive drink which I then have to start queuing again for immediately. Good early in the night, terrible later on.

Such a good bar, always people dancing, club prices but no entry cost most days, cheap entry weekends. Often European and Spanish music and international crowd, souch fun. Great place to dance and after party. 10/10

We got persuaded in by a free pizza offer. We sat right next to the pizza oven and saw a good atmosphere between the staff. The pizza was really nice and the wait was minimal! We would go back.

Still not sure how the place has managed to have long queues outside for the first couple of months after it opened. Its a nice and cozy bar and restaurant, but its to small and crammed to be an enjoyable late night establishment. The layout doesn't help the fact either.
