c. j.Beautiful refurbishment, although I'd perhaps prefer it slightly smokier / darker.
A. H.Lovely bar but hardly any white wine. Not good for a very well known hotel in Oxford.
J. B.Very much a tourist trap, decorated with many pictures of actor John Thaw portraying Morse. But also very comfortable, with a real fireplace, plush chairs, and attentive service. But also steep prices.
M. P.Excellently appointed cocktail bar with a plethora of black and white stills of John Thaw as Morse. Cocktails were lively.

I was served by leonor she was well coming and friendly nothing was too much trouble for her.

R. L.It is a nice place but I was a bit disappointed. We sat (4 of us) at a table in the bar and asked for cream tea as we saw a couple of people having their tea, first the waitress said it was ok then another waitress said we had to move, we proposed to go to the lounge but then she said it was fully booked (not when I went later to see it) which was not true... Then 2 rather small pots of tea arrived (for 4 people) and We waited ages, no scones.. We finished our tea and still no scones.. we asked for more tea and still waited, we complained and only then she said she would check in the kitchen.. it finally came and it was excellent I must say.. it is juste a shame about the attention we received as when de arrived at 3.30pm the place was almost empty and not busy at all... I will not go back there for tea...
