Ordered the classic Fish and Chips and was not disappointed. Portions were huge. And they were tasty enough that I finished the whole meal. Very welcoming and caring staff. Recommended for drinks and food.

The manager is CLASS. Mistook my france rugby shirt for Scotland, saw the red hair and then helped me get a table during a busy six nations afternoon. Only then did he realise my shirt was a France shirt! Jokes aside, he was great to chat to, the bar was swift with the food service and the food was good. Perfect for a spot of lunch or daytime sports etc.

Love this place, The breakfast here is amazing the sasauges was absolutely beautiful. Also the manager (Eamon) is the most loveliest and most attentive manager I have ever came across in this kind of establishment always goes above and beyond to ensure we have a pleasent experience he honestly is a credit to the place. Although I must say he deserves a good holiday as he works bloody hard and never seems to have a day off.

Went here for a banging breakfast the other day. I forgot to take a picture (sorry) but it was really good. I got a small veggie breakfast at a reasonable price. It included a fried egg, toast, beans, a veggie sausage, mushroom, tomato and a hash brown! Everything came piping hot, it tasted great and the service was really good! Thr owner is a really friendly guy who is chatty and pleasant. Can't go wrong with this place! Thanks for my brekkie! :D

Watched the Chelsea-United game here, was busy with a great atmosphere. Nice and warm, bar was very quick in serving, good prices as well. Would highly recommend. Also a big thank you to the staff for getting my phone back when I dropped it behind the sofa. It was an absolute nightmare but they were extremely helpful and managed to get it back for me!

Great Friday night we had, the barmaid managed to get us a table even though the pub was busy, she was incredibly friendly and helpful! Tapas food tasted brilliant, and the band playing were amazing! Plenty of drink choice and all staff working were very nice and friendly, definitely be returning soon!

We love that pub; located in the downtown and family friendly. Especially after the last renovation there is even more space with large screens for the sports fan. There is a nice selection for beers while the staff is helpful and polite. The food is typical british pub food with many selections though and the prices are reasonable in contrast with the overall trend for the pubs in Oxford nowadays.

I’ve been going to this O’Neill’s each time I visit, since I lived in Oxford 10 years ago. It’s had the same excellent manager for all of that time and it’s never faultered. I’ve been to about 6 or 7 O’Neills across the country and this is truly the best. If you’re in Oxford, go in for the delicious pizzas, the friendly team and the awesome live music. Jamie Felton played this Saturday and he was a class act! Highly recommend!

Had a fantastic saturday night here and the manager on that night derserves a huge shout out for how he dealt with a situation, we were approached by 2 older men and he could tell we were uncomfortable with the situation, he comes over with a fake bill and asks us to come to the bar, he relocated us, gave us some drink covers which was like a cherry on the top for making us feel safe, had one of the best nights we have had in while in oxford, will definitely be back

A Great Night out with work friends. Our boss took us out for some drinks after work. I'd never been here before and the place is great. Drink quality was top notch and great value for money considering it is in central Oxford. Sport showing on the tvs for me and live music for my colleagues. We were all looked after really well!

Had a couple of drinks and dinner. The table hadn’t been cleaned and nobody did this even after I had ordered a drink/food. There were very wet patches that needed a wipe. The empty glasses were picked up shortly after I arrived but that was it. The fish goujons were served with white rice and “beans” (as I selected). Little did I know they would be baked beans which was quite hilarious for dinner.

The breakfast is cheap, tasty and in large portions, the space is fantastic for sport viewing (lots of screens), and the owner has been very accommodating in allowing us to book for sports matches, even opening up early so we can watch All Blacks games. We'll be back regularly!

Ordered a starter that never arrived. Once I told staff, they brought it out quickly, however it was frozen. I am, however impressed with how they handled the situation. The mix up was because of new staff. It happens. As soon as we told them my starter was frozen, I got not only a refund, but a free drink, a side of chips plus the side I originally ordered. I did not request any of the additional items or refund, only raised the concern. I appreciated the extra effort to compensate as not every pub would to this extent.

Decent beer. Friday night. TBF. Food wasn't great. Lots of choices missing off the menu and when it came the food wasn't great. Calamari rubbery Halloumi fries hard Chicken bites overcooked Mushrooms ok Chips 🤷🏻‍♂️chips But that said. THE CRAIC WAS FIERCE. Live band (Inuendo) was brilliant. Good varied crowd. Door staff were very professional. One clown was messing about and they hoiked him straight out. No messing. Good work. Great night out.

Sometimes you want to go where everyone knows your name!” The lyrics of the theme to Cheers rings true. This is a bar where the Irish manager Eamon takes a vested interest in knowing his customers whether they are a tourist visiting Oxford for the first time or a local who goes there regularly. He always makes you feel welcome and takes time to talk to you. He is truly a great host. It’s a great sports bar to watch the games whether it is GAA football, Rugby or the Premier League. There are a number of wide screen tv’s in every part of that bar. The food is exceptional and great value for money. There is a wide choice of pub classics, whole day breakfasts and Irish dinner treats. I highly recommend this bar and say hi to Eamon when you see him there.

Visited here twice last week. Once for just a drink and again for breakfast. The tables were well organised for the social distance. My partner and I both had the Hearty Irish Breakfast. It came out hot and well presented. It was so large I couldn't finish it! By far the best breakfast I've had. The staff were attentive and pleasant.

Honestly in my first 10 minutes I thought I had made a very poor judgement, long wait at bar, delays and poor service.... but the mark of getting something wrong is how you fix it.... without having to make a complaint the manager came over, sat down and both explained and apologized for the issues.... you just can't appreciate how effective a "proactive" approach is received.

We visited on Super Saturday, the first day of opening after lockdown was lifted for pubs in the UK. We had tried several other venues and were disappointed to find they were already fully booked. As we'd come to Oxford for the hotels reopening this was very disappointing, but at O'Neills the manager went out of his way to wrangle a table for us so we could have a meal and a couple of beers. We were so pleased with the service that we booked a table for the following day and had Sunday lunch (not traditional Sunday lunch), a few drinks and watched the Newcastle match. A good standard pub. My go to place when i want to go out for food but am not sure where to go. It is a relaxed, casual pub with a good selection of food and drink. The only downfall is that it gets really busy when the sports are on the tv. It is also quite busy late at night towards the end of the week (like everywhere in Oxford). Eaten there many times and always ordered the grilled chicken burger or the chick norris pizza. The full english breakfast was also really good!

Bit hazy as on a pub crawl with my mates hunting a chicken with our beer kitty found him in O'Neill's George Street spent the rest of the night there great bar staff who joined in the fun. Excellent

Great place to have a drink, love the big screen in the center of the pub great when the football is on, been here a couple of times and the staff are friendly and the place has a good atmosphere
