Lovely relaxed place, friendly and helpful staff. We had some of the delicious 241 cocktails that run every night 4-7pm. The tapas was delicious and quickly served. Definitely would recommend if you're in the area. We are visitors to Oxford and booked a table. 🙂

Lovely tapas and cocktails! The selection of cocktails were great and very tasty, especially their espresso Martini! Would recommend going during happy hour for cheaper cocktails! Although there wasn't loads of choice of tapas, all of the food that we ordered was delicious and I felt very catered for as a pescitarian! Staff were lovely. Would recommend!

Jade staff member was Brilliant so helpful. Much more helpful than the miserable sky representative who would not allow us in even though we had tickets. Our first visit to Oxford got off to a fabulous start with our evening meal at The Lighthouse. Beautiful tapas dishes of chicken skewers, chorizo & tomato, mezze plate and truffle fries...all superb quality. Highly recommended 👌

Great cocktails in the 2 4 1 offer that runs everyday from 7 to 11. The outside area has heaters and looks over one of the many rivers that feed into the Thames. Very quirky interior.

I went for a weekday lunch. It was totally empty. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was reasonable. I had a lamb stew. I strongly suspect it was premade and reheated. The portion was moderate. Generally it was all ok, but nothing spectacular.

The best cocktails in Oxford! This has been a staple of mine for many many years! Despite no longer living in Oxford, myself and my partner and friends will frequently make the trip back to Oxford just for the purpose of going for a cocktail and some tapas. It took a while to find the place,after a morning shopping & walking,but we'd heard good things about the food,so we decided to check it out,not very busy so a table was easy.i had a pint of Oxford gold,my girlfriend had a jd & coke,service was quick,& unusually we both had the same meals,the lamb main meal,& the chocolate mousse for dessert,all very tasty especially the lamb.happily come back again,& maybe try the tapas.

The best part of our experience at the Lighthouse was the amazing cocktails. If you like cocktails (and I do!) then the extensive cocktail list is perfect for you - I especially like and recommend "Last Mango in Paris" and "Botanist" cocktails. We also had some delicious tapas to compliment our cocktails. The interior of this place is so pretty - lots of oil paintings and quirky little features all around. Staff were really helpful as well, I want to say a particular thank you to Ben who helped make a nice evening into a special one.

Went here for an event with the footy club and we reserved the function room. The service was great and attentive, even though it was a super busy Saturday night in the rest of the bar. The cocktail special (2 for £9) is especially great. The food was good, too. Would definitely recommend this place for an event but if you’re looking for a quiet place to have a drink with a mate, definitely try somewhere else.

Quirky and rewarding pub to visit. Variety of beers and cocktails to sample, has a snug little room (which always seems full), and an outside porch (with heating) overlooking the river. Also got a range of spirits and well lit, with comfy seats to seat on by high tables. Effective use of a small venue.

Had an amazing evening here a few months ago. I’ve been meaning to write a review as they deserve it. I don’t tend to write reviews but couldn’t not for this place. I arranged my sisters hen do here. Cocktails were perfect, food was delicious. When our mum had one of her ‘funny turns’ they couldn’t be more caring and accommodating.

Since it has reopened the decor looks a nice balance between traditional pub style with a twist of modern. Very pleasant environment and a nice smoker's balcony over the river. A good place to go in between times. Great cocktails. Half price happy hour every day 17:00 - 20:00. Two for one = £7.30 at the time of writing this. Nice but small covered smoking area fronting canal. Friendly staff. All in all a place you want to come back to.

I can't say enough positive things about this place. We booked for a party of 10 on a Saturday. We ordered food in advance, and the Lighthouse team were responsive and friendly. The food was great value (plus 2-4-1 cocktails!) and it was both beautifully presented and delicious. Highly recommended

We visit quite often, the drinks are good , happy hour BOGOF ! Staff are always polite, friendly and accommodating , will bring drinks to your table. Emily the manageress is great, she is very customer focused and will go out of her way to make your visit worthwhile. Highly recommended

Great food and beer to boot this bar has a lively atmosphere and fantastic menu that caters for meat eaters and veggies alike. Serves real ale and has a happy hour for cocktails for special occasions. Staff are friendly and it's a good place for parties. Handley for the station in summer you can sit watching the river on the balcony.

Random post lockdown rules. Annoying barcode ordering when the actual bar is free for you to walk up to. Almost feels like a scam with table service charge added to the already overpriced drinks.

A little disappointed with the food. The tapas were not very tasty, nowhere near that of other tapas restaurants in Oxford, making me think the kitchen relies a lot on frozen food. The staff was very nice though. Perhaps more a place for drinking than dining.

Very nice atmosphere and drinks, but wouldn't bother with the food. They're not tapas portion but HUGE (to the point where I couldn't even finish one dish, never mind several) so you end up wasting money as they're quite expensive. I could have probably forgiven this but I specifically asked about the size of the dishes and the server indicated a very small size with her hands while saying 'small tapas'. The dishes I ordered tasted pretty ordinary too, so they weren't even dishes you want a lot of.

The Light House is a pub go to regularly. The drink menu caters for cocktails, gin mixers, wines and soft drinks. Food is also available but is selective. The embiance is nice with a fresh wood feel. Background music is played and is not too loud. The Light House is a good starting place for an evening entertainment in Oxford.

I recently hosted my 30th birthday party at the Lighthouse, and couldn't be happier with the venue and the service that we received. I booked the Boiler room, which sits off to one side, but is connected to the rest of the pub by the open bar. This gave us own space, without feeling shut off from the rest of the pub. The owners have gone with a nautical theme throughout, and the decor is warm and cosy, especially with the log fire in the boiler room. We had some excellent Tapas, which was reasonably priced for the high quality of the food. As an ale drinker, I personally would have preferred a few more beers on tap, but my friends really enjoyed the cocktail menu (expensive, but on a par with similar local venues). All of the staff that I dealt with, from the person who took the booking, to the lady who dealt with the deposit, and the bar staff on the night, were friendly and professional. We'll be back again, and would recommend to anyone!

A lovely traditional pub just a short walk from the city centre. Friendly staff and great real ales. Nice to find a place where you're not also expected to eat if all you're looking for is a drink and sit in front of a nice, warm fire. Sky Sports is shown, but it doesn't dominate.

Ok. Food was very much what you'd expect and music was way too loud. If I was there to bop the night away dancing and getting hammered it was fine. But it wasn't that sort of venue. It was a pub selling food. Throat was sore from shouting at the other people at our table. And gave up trying to listen to conversations unless they were right next to me.

Friendly local cocktail pub which mixes an excellent whisky sour. Tasty tapas, table service if you're eating and an ambience which combines the comfort of a pub with the pizzazz of a cocktail bar. Staff expertly mix up classic favourites and some innovations like their not-to-be-missed Madrid Sour. Early evening happy hours make this a favourite post-work pre-dinner destination. Decor style is squid and steampunk, a little nautical apocalypse to enjoy alongside your drinks. To the lighthouse!

Formely Duke's Cut and Rose O'Gradys. Now a very smart bar with a great range of cocktails. I popped in for coffee on the way home from the Christmas Medley of shopping and was welcomed to try their coffee. No, it is not an old fashioned pub any longer, it is somewhere I would go for a cocktail with my daughters now though. The decor is very new and clean, lots of space and an outside space above the rive presumably for the smokers but on a sunny, winter day, I will be back to have a coffee on the deck! I wish the owners well, West Oxford is full of chains and its great to see the indies rise above the tide. I can't rave about this enough. BTW - I couldn't find you on TripAdvisor to write this review.
