Amazing!! Recommended by a friend - we wouldn't have found this otherwise. The most incredible roof top views. Very friendly staff. Lots and lots of stairs to get 4 floors up to the roof terrace but so worth it! No food sadly but lovely cocktails and good drinks menu.

Great cocktail bar with a quint rooftop bar. We had the espresso martinis, I'd rate them as some of the best I've had. If you put your name down for the roof and chill for about 20 mins you will be rewarded with a great view. Just watch out the rest of the place is a bit of a Warren so you might take some time to find your way out

My absolute favourite place in Oxford! When I went there for the first time and saw the view from the rooftop I was mesmerised! I love everything about this place! The drinks are great, the food is fantastic and the atmosphere is the best! Bring a jacket cause it might get windy at the rooftop.

Location is great. Roof top is amazing. building itself is unique, deco is beautiful. A bar on each floor. So you don't feel as tho you have to all the way down, to the first floor to get a drink then back up again to the roof top. Heads up A lot of stairs, do not where High heels unless you are a pro in wearing them!!! Just a bit shocked on prices - brought two cocktails for £25!!!

Quiet on a weekday evening. The views are good but not amazing. Top floor is open and sadly still allows smoking. The couple next to us lit up and we decided to move. Drinks were very slow to arrive after the order.

This is top-notch cocktail bar in Oxford. As you would expect, the view is breathtaking. It was very well organized during pandemic times. The service is also very quick. The only downside is that they charge you £5 for the booking which is very odd.

The view from the roof terrace is amazing. You can get a panoramic view of the city of Oxford. It's a very comfortable shop. The female clerk is also cute and wonderful!

The roof terrace is really nice but you have to always be seated at a table up there. The rooms inside are a bit dark and cramped and it's difficult to hear people when talking to them. The drinks are very expensive but then that is to be expected in Oxford city centre

The reason giving 3 star is quite actually disappointed that only 1 floor was working. While purchasing the ticket, it mentioned that there's going to be 3 floors, topmost would be a penthouse. Assuming that I was into this impression that it would be of the 3 floors club. Anyway, hope the next time it won't happen!

Drinks are well priced considering what it is, though make sure to do your squats before hand so the stairs don't kill you. Fries were especially good for food perfectly seasoned. Will definitely be visiting again.

Can only comment on the 2nd floor private bar but great venue for private parties. Attentive staff, great music, perfect for small to medium gatherings. Amazing cocktails. One thing would be to minimise the other 1st & 3rd floor attendees from entering the private party, but this is a small quibble.

Beautiful views, went off peak weekday evening and it was stunning. It's a little pricy and definitely not disability friendly which meant I had a bit of trouble but the views were with it. While the drink was a little pricy it was really nice and the vibe was nice. But I could definitely imagine it not being so cool with it packed full of drunk students so bare in mind when choosing when to go.

However it was a really stressful atmosphere and they tried to pack too many people into the rooftop (or overbooked people I am not really sure) so our orders were so incredibly late that we had to go elsewhere. The staff seemed like good people who were working super hard and just trying their best.

The rooftop is lovely. Going up there just before sunset is always a great idea, especially if you are on a date - as the views from the one side are really pleasant - the other side is mainly the tops of other buildings :) Not cheap - but worth it.

I came here, with friends, about mid-day on a visit to Oxford. The setting was very nice and there were fleece blankets scattered about in the terrace top seating area! The music inside was way too loud for mid-day though (smooth jazz / trance fusion is too loud at any volume) and although the staff did turn it down a little on request, it was back up to full volume within 30mins. It's a personal preference, but I kinda like to go to a social place and socialise, without having to yell myself hoarse at the person next to me! However this was a beautiful place with gorgeous dacor and a good selection of drinks!

Great bar that doesn’t care for measurements and just pours in alcohol unlike most bars in the UK. Strong cocktails and made very well. Nice seating and rooftop bar is nice too when available to be used. Prices are good considering the amount you get in each drink and what you’d expect for a city.

Great rooftop and cocktails delicious. The only downside was the customer service. Staff were insistent on giving us reminders of when we had to give our table back, wrongfully so when confusing us with another table. But also spent a long time taking drinks orders, brought wrong drinks etc which didn’t help the time pressure, particularly as we pre-booked. A shame, as so much potential but perhaps relies on the location.

The roof terrace has absolutely spectacular views and has sections available for private hire. However, in my experience, including for private hire, the service leaves quite a bit to be desired. The venue is not accessible to anyone with additional mobility needs.

Views and food were lovely, staff weren't particularly tentative considering there were 3/4 floor staff to a maximum of 20/25 people. Despite us arriving for our booked table early and ordering at our earliest opportunity (25 mins after we were sat down) eating reasonably quickly and waiting more than 10/15 Mins after finishing each of the first 2 courses to have our plates taken away we were asked to be ready to leave in the next 20 mins before we could even order our dessert. We would have stayed for a few more cocktails but decided to go elsewhere as quickly as possible.

I went for a special night with my girlfriend in the terrace. I had booked a specific table (confirmed twice via phone a month ago, and had a confirmation email), and when we got there, we were told that they didn't book specific tables and that the table wasn't available. I asked to speak to the general manager (thin, short guy with black frame glasses), and he not only refused to see the confirmation email and solve the situation, but he spoke to us in a very disrespectful way. I was extremely dissapointed by the way he treated us, as if he was doing us a favor just by letting us stay. He told us to sit on another table or leave, not having the slightest awareness of the situation. I'm very glad another guy from the staff stepped in (Diego) and really changed our night. He was very helpful, he helped us to eventually sit in the table we had booked, and he was VERY attentive during the whole night. He really changed our experience. I would give 5 stars, but our initial experience with the manager is something I cannot oversee. He shouldn't be treating public.

After a conference at Oxford university, my colleagues and I came here for drinks. It honestly *made* our final day here! The structure of the club with its multiple levels is very cool. The staff were very polite and cheerful, and the drinks were priced reasonably. We sat on the rooftop terrace and relaxed for a number of hours as the sun slowly set. It was genuinely a fantastic evening , and only because of this venue.

Go for the views on a nice sunny day, better in the evening. Great, young atmosphere, but welcoming to all ages. Drinks a bit pricey but you pay for the fab location. Not sure if you can book the terrace, but do if you can, gets packed. The place has various floors and ypu need to go up a staircase, so unless there is a hidden lift, please check before you go if you need a lift.

This was a fun mixed age venue which I enjoyed. We went late evening for after dinner drinks and felt most welcome by the bouncer and the serving staff. The roof terrace is really cool, interesting and unique even though unfortunately it was raining and really cold we still enjoyed sitting for a drink on the covered terrace. Downstairs bar had plenty of seating areas. The drink menu was varied with a reasonable selection however I found my aperol spritz to be a bit flat and not enough prosecco. As there are so many cocktails on offer it does mean a longer wait at the bar which is expected if you frequent cocktail bars as the drinks take longer to prepare. I also found the floors to be very sticky. The venue also has a lot of flights of stairs so no good if this is not suitable and definitely need to not get too intoxicated as getting out of the venue could be hazardous.

Was there on a Sat evening and really enjoy the vibe - good crowd and great atmosphere. Despite being busy we got served quickly all night and the staff were friendly and put together some good drinks. Inside is good but the roof terrace really was great - it was a rainy evening and we still enjoyed it up there (there is cover!) but would be fantastic on a nice evening. Over the weekend we went to quite a lot of different bars around Oxford and this was head and shoulders the best we went to.

We went there 2 days ago to have lunch, it was very pleasant, the food was delicious, the waiters very kind and the view amazing. To enter I had to scan the QR code of the Varsity club and enter my details (covid measure) and my boyfriend who did the reservation did not have to do anything. Yesterday, We had to scan 1 NHS QR Code for the all group. Today, we arrived at 4 for a reservation during the afternoon. A guy was at the door, checking the bookings. He asked us to do the QR code. I thought it was the one as the first day but no. He said, in a mean way that we all had to do the NHS QR Code otherwise we could live. We went outside to download the app but one of us had a too old version of her phone and could not download it. We tried to explain but he asked us to leave, that it was our issue, not his and if we did not have, we could go and come back only with it. It would be great that you have only one policy and that we are not rejected from the bar like that, in a way not very pleasant. We really liked the bar that we discovered the other way but the way the guy talked to us was not acceptable. We do not want to come back if we are treated like that. The Varsity Club is supposed to be chic but it is not a way to welcome the customers. I worked in a chic place and I've never seen that. I hope you will take this comment in consideration, otherwise the restaurant itself was very good and I recommend it, just not the guy who was at the entrance. The food and mocktails were amazing anyway.

Amazing views of Oxford from the rooftop bar, well worth a visit especially in the summer. The food is nice too, although I waited over an hour for a portion of sweet potato fries. When I asked the waiter it seemed my order has been lost in the kitchen. But they sent an extra large portion straight away to apologise.

Cool cocktail bar in centre for Oxford. We spent our time here in the sky lounge which I would highly recommend should it be a nice day. Quite expensive here but definitely worth the cost for good memories! There's apparently alot of variety of cocktails, I personally was drinking Estrella beer. Good fun, nice location - would definitely go back!

One of the highlights of Oxford - well worth the walk up the staircase! Never really been to the club, but the rooftop bar is something I always take visitors to see. The views are breathtaking and better than those from the Westgate (as a local, I don't know any other rooftops that are readily accessible to the public). The cocktails are about £7 a pop and pints are £5 at least. This is expensive even for Oxford but not ridiculous. Hard to find and 3 stories of climbing, but I discovered this place after 3 years in the City and wish I'd found it earlier...

Nice pub with lots of spaces, 5 floors and they have roof top bar as well. Do recommend for a group of friends, colleagues to organize a small party there. Or a couple can go there to have a chat while drinking some cocktails or alcohol drinks.

Can't fault it. Had a great time here. Called in with my wife for an early evening drink on Friday night and ended up staying much longer than planned and had friends join us. Really rate this place. Excellent drinks (beer for me and my wife had a mojito which was excellent not too sweet) then we moved on to wine by the bottle. Of course it's busy. It's popular and so its busy which means there is a buzz about it - atmosphere - and so there might be a wait for drinks but we got really friendly good service. This place is a gem.

(Should also have additional chairs as people had taken chairs to other tables and we were left standing)

Lovely views from the roof top bar. You can buy beers from the small bar on the roof or you can get cocktails from the bigger bar in the floor below. There's generally at least a table for 2 free on the rooftop, although it can busy around the bar as it isn't the biggest of areas and the queue for the bar can stretch quite far.

Really love this new bar - Oxfords best kept secret you could say ....it is upstairs from the High Street. Exposed brickwork walls and really comfy squashy leather sofas. Went for drinks one night and really loved the place - so much thatwe went back during the day (for a coffee saturday daytime). Would really recommend :)

They should be much lower! 5f for a beer is much too much, (3f ok and 3.50f as well, as in other places in city centrum) ... But 11.50 for two beers is much too much. Anyway - view is worth to see it!

I chose the Vasrsity Club as the final destination of a hen do that I was organising, with the hope that I could surprise the bride with a sunset meal on the roof, over-looking the spires of Oxford. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans! From initial booking enquiries, through pre-ordering and pre-paying for our food, to being shown to our tables, I was looked after very professionally by the events manager, Millie, who made sure that everything went super smoothly. We managed to enjoy one pre-dinner cocktail on the roof, but were very grateful to be accommodated inside for food. The food was lovely and - having never been there before - everything that I'd hoped it would be. We then continued to drink and dance the night away in this very versatile venue. There was a great atmosphere the whole time and we were one happy group of hens!
