What a lovely place. The barman was so friendly and helpful, helping us choose which IPA to buy. Lots of seats inside and lovely quirky decor. We sat outside for a couple of rounds and it was super relaxed atmosphere. Mixed clientele of locals and tourists. The pizzas we saw looked amazing, though we had already eaten so did not partake. My only criticism was the toilets which need a good clean and a major refurbishment!

One of the best pizzas in the town ! We have been to this pub more than once and love the different types of amazing pizzas they serve. The calzone (just one option) is also fantastic. A recommendation to the owner : While the service is quick, one of the cons is that the number of seating spaces inside the pub is quite less and in winter, it is chilling to eat outside. Therefore on weekends and busy periods, it would help to put some kind of heating arrangements for people who sit outside.

Absolutely loved my gluten free and vegan pizza, the Tutte Vedere. GREAT crust and FULL of flavor. I didn’t miss the cheese. My wife had a Goats Cheese pizza, and she loved it as well. Great beer and cider selections, fun atmosphere and waiters. Looking forward to coming back!

Best pizza in Oxford - no competition ! My Italian friends go here regularly and it has their seal of approval. It is such a nice atmosphere really good for hanging out with friends in a intimate setting. Some highlights are how great the staff are, the nice drink options and the outdoor seating area during the evenings. I love this place and thinks it’s an amazing local pub.

Really great little bar off of the main roads. Staff were great, really friendly and the drinks were a decent price. Limited on the food menu but the food we had was very good and freshly made. We sat in a neat little beer garden so can't really say what the inside was like to be in. Definitely go there again, and would recommend a visit for refreshments anytime.

We went for an outside table on a cold evening and loved the heated benches, where not just the seat but the back rests are heated and really do keep you warm. We had a bowl of olives as a starter before a couple of different pizzas. The food was tasty, we didn't have to wait very long to be served and the tablenservice was good. A starter, two generous pizzas and two pints of beers with decent change from £30.

Fun pub with garden and selection of real ales and regular drinks. The pub has a big garden, but is so popular that that the garden fills up anyway. The highlight is their delicious pizza! If coming on the weekend for grub, I recommend booking a table

It being my first day in Oxford, I can safely say the day did not disappoint. I enjoyed the sights of the beautiful city and to top it all off, had a lovely visit to the white rabbit. Ordered 2 pizzas, 1 starter. First pizza comes, looks great, 10 minutes later get the cutlery, pizza 1 cold. 5 minutes later we get the next pizza. Disco inferno, was banging. 10 minutes later the starter came out undercooked. Staff were exceptionally apologetic and polite, manager resolved everything without question explained the reasoning. It's cool, new staff will learn. Great experience overall anyway. Just get that cutlery out before the food!!!! Also your cutlery pots end up top heavy so the oversized pizza cutter topples it, glue a base to it or stick the cutter under the pizza like other pizza places ;)

Really nice atmosphere and perfect for groups of students or even smaller family gatherings. Particularly in summer, the seating in the back garden is perfect for a nice dinner or lunch. Pizzas are all delicious, good portion sizes and very well priced. Also highly recommend the dough balls!

It exists. Little place with a bug garden. Pizza was pretty damn fine, the mad hatter pizza is a stroke of genius, a pizza where the chef picks the toppings, excluding anything you can't eat. Cosy an cute.

DEFINITELY come here, bartenders are absolutely lovely and go out of their way to give you the best experience which is far and between what I've experienced in London. Had the Clara special, garlic pizza with extra garlic and added tomato sauce. I could cry, this experience has been completely memorable and I don't want to leave.

Best pizza we have had probably ever. It would be good to book as it’s incredibly busy, walked in on Saturday evening and had to wait for a table but enjoyed the vibe and music whilst we sat in the bar. Staff are very friendly and were working very hard I work in a bar and there’s double the amount for a smaller place, so well done to them dealing with all these people. No orange with the blue moon but we loved it here so no biggie. Toilets are a bit old fashioned need a paint

Stumbled across the White Rabbit while sightseeing in Oxford and stopped in for a pint. Very quaint old pub with a good beer selection and friendly service. We ended up visiting several times during our stay in Oxford, we enjoyed it so much. Nice beer garden and the pizzas seem popular, although we didn’t try one ourselves.

We came in on a busy Saturday evening, and managed to squeeze into a table by the bar, we’ve been wanting to come here for a while so that was great. The staff are really friendly and noticed my mother on an uncomfortable stool so she moved us over so she could have a back rest. The atmosphere is amazing for a pub that looks humble from the outside, even my mother was dancing and tapping along to the music. The food wait wasn’t long at all considering the amount of people, beautiful dough the rocket was fresh and they even supply chilli oil in quirky bottles Can’t wait for my next visit :-)

Great. Sat out the back in the heated tent area. Each table has its own QR code. Scan order a pizza and a beer.. lightning quick service even when it was really busy. Obvious that they have put a lot of thought into the organisation of it all. My only complaint is that the beer list is mind bogglingly massive.. but thats not really a complaint is it?!

Pizzas and calzones are must try. Their classic non veg calzone is really good. It is primely located and I will recommend having a prior booking on weekends. One of the best place of vegetarians as they have variety of veg options. I do enjoy outdoor seatings in summer but indoor seating is the best for winter.

My booking was 5-7 pm, we were told to get out at 6:35 pm. We were still able to order drinks beyond 6:30 without any time to drink them. The manager (?) was incredibly rude telling us to leave and making up rules on the spot, such as the fact I turned up 10 minutes early and so my booking was started at 4:45 pm (I waited outside until 5:05). Where has 'hospitality' gone? There's none from this manager, just rude, ruins your day. The other waiters were more understanding and chilled. The next booking was from 7 pm and the customers were happy for us to be there while their party arrived. No fuss required. Essentially, the manager put unnecessary guilt and stress on us, embarrassing. No stouts (except Guiness...) or porters, no hot drinks, no ginger ale mixer. No option for lime with cocktails. Seems like any other shoddy pub... Nothing special - may aswell drink in my front room with my friends. Pizza was ok, bit soggy.

Great pizza! I sometimes go here for supper as a treat at the weekend. Good beer and lively atmosphere. Perhaps more for the younger crowd, I think I'm sometimes the oldest there. Fairly modest seating area, especially in winter when you can't sit outside, or maybe you can, as they have heated outdoor seats! It can get quite crowed, so be warned, as you need to have a seat to eat your pizza. If I had guests over for the weekend, I would bring them here, and have supper, so that's not a bad endorsement. Oh, and have I mentioned the heated outdoor seats - real decadence!

Great place to go for craft beer in Oxford for both beer on cask and keg. It's hands down my favourite pizza place in the city too. Outdoor area spacious, with heated seats (work much better than heat lamps!) if it's cold.

Thoroughly enjoyed our pizzas!!! I am gluten and dairy intolerant and it was not issue as they offer gluten free bases to all their pizza and they have vegan cheese. Excellent pizza, fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff, good prices, great central location (2 mins from park and ride drop off), quirky decor. Only came to Oxford for a day trip and am so happy we picked this place. Covid wise, felt super safe. They have their own mobile phone setup so you can order things to the table from their mobile site on your phone, plenty of hand santaizer and they take your tempreture as you go in. I will be recommending this place to my friends when they visit.

Excellent pizzas and real ales and not a bad choice of other drinks too (although not much in the way of on tap ciders). Largely student clientele but they don't seem to mind the occasional older person in their midst and the music was probably more my thing (I'm 46) than theirs. We came here two years ago and revisited on the strength of our previous experience. We were not disappointed. Will definitely visit again when in Oxford. Quite busy even on Sunday night term-time. Be prepared to wait for a table.

We had an excellent time on Saturday evening, it was very busy but the staff couldn't of been more helpful. I will say it was awkward to here the bar staff get shouted at for kindly asking a table to move as they had taken over a table that was reserved they even stopped taking our order to make sure they were happy and to hear them being reprimanded was uncomfortable, as they were very kind to us and found us a table amongst the hoards of people, in my opinion we had a fantastic time, the pizza is 10/10 and they have a very good selection of ale which they let us try and advised us on eve though there were huge queue's. What a great evening.

This place is tiny, old, and serves excellent pizza and keeps a wide variety of good beer -- it's really very authentic pizza, served with a lot of real ale of many different varieties. As a result, it's often absolutely packed. I'd thoroughly recommend it!

First time visiting The White Rabbit ( recommended by a friend). Pizzas and beer were delightful! Service was great. However, I couldn't help but notice the rude and aggressive tone that was being being given off by the guy behind the bar to the staff as I was enquiring about condiments. It made me quite uncomfortable. God knows how they felt. I understand these times are stressful but I just didn't think it was fair for someone to speak in that way to their staff in front of customers when in my opinion they seemed to be doing the best they could. Other than that we really enjoyed our time at The White Rabbit and will be visiting again.

Please, please, please go to the White Rabbit. We popped in for a pint on a cool Tuesday afternoon in April and discovered that the seats in the beer garden are HEATED. What is more as soon as you place you order the via the QR scan beer appears instantly as if by magic. Seems like the pandemic has made a good pub even better. I agree with everyone that the space is a bit cramped and they need more space to spread their love for pizza. Pizza looks Italian, tastes and smells Italian. Prices are more than reasonable, maybe because I live in London where everything is over the roof. Music wasn't to loud and space feels cosy, friendly staff.

Great pizza thin crust and cooked beautifully, the wine selection is also good but could do with having a Chianti this time of year, its extremely busy so I would suggest coming earlier than 7pm if you want to be in and out, the staff are really friendly one of the girls saw we had a elderly lady with us and found us a table away from the speakers which was nice, she also made my mother a tea in the staff area as they don't have a coffee machine. You don't normally expect such service in a pub of this kind so it was really special. Next time we will try and get a seat on the heated benches as this is something quite luxurious.

I really enjoyed my visit to the White Rabbit, it reminds me of another of my favourites the Fir Tree on Iffley Road. Basically a solid beer offer, pub style, relaxed atmosphere and excellent pizza. It's always good to see places find one thing that they can do and then doing it really well. The only downside is because they're good and it's central location, you'll struggle to find a time when they're anything but busy. Well recommended.

COVID-19 update: this restaurant has the best measures I have encountered anywhere. They converted the parking lot into a garden with separated booths and heated chairs. They did their ordering in its entirety on a website you could use a QR code from the table from. Servers were wearing masks and they took your temperature as you were going in. For an independent pub that is beyond amazing! Kudos!! Best pizza in Oxford. If you're feeling adventurous try the mad hatter, it's surprisingly good. (See what I did there?)

In central Oxford - dominated by expensive and/or poor quality drinking venues targeting tourists and students - the White Rabbit is by far one of the best pubs on offer, and also offers some of the tastiest pizza in town. Drinks are good too, and it's a busy and fun crowd. Indeed, it gets packed even on weekdays, so you may have to wait for a table, but it's typically worth it. A small but good quality range of draught beers too.

The pizza and service were all great! I highly reccomend you go for the Follw the White Rabbit option (I think that's what its called) where the chef chooses your toppings. I had ham, aubergine, tomatoes... it was gorgeous with some extra chilli oil. I also loved the Aspall's cider they have on tap just now. So the down side is there very few meat options, you cant even have chicken on your pizza, but the upside is theres a kind of cured beef you can have on one of these pizzas. In short guys, don't go thinking there will be a "meat feast" option or even chicken on your pizza, but allow the veggie-heavy options to win you over. I promise, you won't regret it!

Loving The White Rabbit for many years and consider myself a post work regular so visiting late evenings. Also being aware that many of the long time employees left it, most likely because of the low salaries offered. Better salaries generate a better revenue FYI owners. A fantastic pizza one of the top three best ones in Oxford. Great place for a beer and chill and cool playlist. The new garden is amazing and a brilliant idea. You guys rock on so many levels. The reason why only three stars (And I don't don't write reviews often as finding them very subjective) is the service. Come on. You can do much better. Some guys moody, some super friendly and chilled. 20mins before closing the garden being told that it's closing in 20mins. I understand. Neighbours, licence etc. 15mins before garden closes light's are going down what creates a safety hazard and actually a staff member member trips over my headphones and drops my phone in the darkness. 10mins before 11pm another person comes to me and says that the garden is closing down. 5mins before again... I know you can do better. It's catering. It's hospitality. Simple. Be friendly. Hope it's a constructive criticism 😉 And good luck.

Everyone has that one place that they always go to. The one that pops into your head. The first choice. For me, this is White Rabbit. Their pizza is fantastic, but it's more than that. From the super friendly staff, happy attitude, and great atmosphere, the White Rabbit is a must-go for anyone, whether visiting or living in the city. They are very welcome to all ages, so don't worry about that being an issue. Also, I just have to add that I have no idea what some people say about the music, because it is absolutely fantastic, and they are very good at adjusting the volume based on the noise level.
