Food amazing - well presented and served with a smile Staff very helpful and considerate As for the ' cakeaway' WOW WOW WOW!! Got to be seen (and tasted) to be believed, incredible value for money. Absolutely enormous portions BUT what you couldn't find room for there you were given containers to take home with it in. My elderly mother in law even got a pot of cream to take home with hers!! Would definitely recommend

Staff were very friendly and welcoming, food was really good, the bacon cheeseburger is excellent! Portion sizes are right up my alley, plenty of food for your money. The only reason for the four star review is that one of our party had to change his menu option twice as they were not serving 2 of the meals he ordered. No mixed grill, no fish. Other than that it was an enjoyable evening meal out. Thank you to the staff for being efficient in clearing away empty plates etc. Would happily return.

Had an early dinner here tonight, food was quick and very tasty! Service was also great, had a bit of a laugh with the waiter. We had takeaway cake because we were both very full from the main meal and the cake portions were huge and very good! Highly recommend, I’ll be back very soon!

Had a pretty good experience here and would definitely return. The menu is huge, almost intimidatingly so, but definitely something to suit everyone. Food was served reasonably quick, and was good, nothing special, but well cooked and what you would expect for a massive chain pub at a reasonable price on a good day.

Delicious roast carvery dinners. Portions were massive, will definitely return but will have a smaller plate next time. Only negative is that the carrots were a bit hard and the cauliflower cheese was not very cheesy or saucy.

This is a pub not far from us. We go there for the delicious carvery. Good selection on menu. Desserts are massive so it's a good job they do takeaway boxes. The decor is a bit dark.

1st time we had been. Looked alright. Plenty of people queuing for the roast which did look good. We had the massive slice of cake and it was really good. Only problem for me was not much choice of real ale. Had 2 on when we got our first drink but only one on when we got our second drink. I know that these sort of pubs are basic on beer but to have no choice if you want beer and not lager then personally I don't think that is very professional or thinking of you customers.

We attend messy toddlers here and love it! Ellie who helps run it is so lovely and great with the kids, they make such an effort to get to know them which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable! We often stay for breakfast or lunch and find all the staff and food lovely!

4 stars is solely for the amazing beef carvery (no word of a lie but the best beef I'd ever had) and the excellent staff. However lost a star for the awful booth seats, quite shocking really, looked about 100 years old, bare sponge as covers completely worn away. This needs a major update pronto have been like this for some time.

It was a pleasant environment with lovely staff but they seemed very short staffed with just one lady at the bar taking orders and making drinks. It wasn't busy (it was just after 5pm on a Monday evening) but I stood for 15 minutes just to buy a couple of diet cokes. The toilets were clean but the table we sat at was sticky and had crumbs on it. This may have as a result of being short staffed.

Every time I go there I have the feeling that I am being served by out of pity. The staff is looking at you like you are annoying them. The food takes ages to come. The tables specially outside are always dirty. You will almost certainly find noisy children with their noses running over their mouths and parents that don't care. So if you want a quiet, clean place with good food and more, find another place. If on the other hand you are looking for a cheap dinner and a pint then it's a perfect place. So either way enjoy 🙂😜

Gr8 value carvery with roast pork/beef/turkey plus all the sides. Also has a-la-carte. Go hungry. Well worth it! Can choose from the standard plate size or the large (for the carvery) - in my opinion, the standard plate is more than enough to fill your tummy! You are cut a couple of large slices of meat and the plate can then be piled high with veg and potatoes, mash etc (these are self service). Sauces including horseradish, mint, cranberry, mustard and gravy are available as well.

This building hasn't been here long but the decor is so outdated and grubby it's not very pleasant. It reminds me of the Hampton in pboro which is just as tacky but a lot older.

Would love to give a better rating but the dinner was a little let down. The roast beef was chewy. It was like chewing on a piece of rubber. The person serving behind the counter must have had a bad day. He looked so sad and didn't seem to enjoy his job. Strangely that was my last experience but with a different server. This has become my favourite place to eat out recently due to their extensive menu and everything I've had so far has been excellent. Can be sometimes difficult to get to get a table due to its popularity but that should be a sign of the quality they provide.

Arrived after trolling around Hamptons, stopped and had a quick look , thought the food looked good , food was a Carvery , meats were Turkey , Beef and Gammon , had a standard sized dinner , there were three options , small , standard and large , as with all Carverys, queued for a drink and ticket , went to table had part of a bottle of wine , went and queued for Carvery , asked which meat we could have , told all three if we liked , which we both had , also had roasties , loads of different vegetables and a really nice gravy , after the dinner I had a pudding , well over the top of my calories count , my treat for the week .

It was H's birthday today and - as she and some friends had eaten here before, and enjoyed it - she decided she'd let me take her to lunch at Mulberry Tree Farm. I am so very glad that we did! We parked easily in the large car park and entered a welcoming, bright, festive restaurant. We took our table and plumped for the standard carvery. The slicer and dicer was very pleasant and served us with a smile. We passed along in front of the vast array of vegetables, potatoes and sauces, choosing our meal. Everything was hot and delicious. All of the staff were festively bedecked and all were very pleasant to us. We have decided that we will definitely return.

Had a lovely meal for my daughters 21st birthday. They had cleared an entire section for us which was fab. Food was awesome, particularly enjoyed the great veg selection with the carvery. Nice cheap food and good sized portions. Not many options for vegetarians but the bean chilli was good. Desserts were massive however, I ordered the chocolate brownie but instead got a chocolate cake and was told when asked that that was in fact the brownie but it was not it was clearly a cake.

1st time eating here at lunchtime with my niece lovely meal but coffee cake taken home was aweful. Dry as a bone, cream only between 1 of the 3 layers and I think they completely forgot the coffee. Bit disappointed for £6 a portion. Will skip it next time. (If there is one)

Food excellent but we were let down with a booking, we recommended the place to friends and agreed to go for a meal all four of us on 25th Feb. We tried several times to phone to book but no one answered the phone. I asked my son to go in and book it for us because he was in Hampton. We live near Bourne. He went in and booked the table for us for 1830hrs he had a pleasant person serve him who wrote the booking down on a table plan in front of my Son. Unfortunately on the night we were to go, our friends were delayed and did not pick us up until 1820hrs, I decided I must try to phone to say we were on our way, to ask them to keep our table please. A Lady did answer the telephone but told us we were NOT booked in, we explained that my Son had been in and booked it but she was adamant that we were not booked. She eventually said she would fit us in. When we arrived, I asked her what had happened and explained that my Son said how the booking person had wrote the booking on the seating plan and she replied that she had fitted us in. We feel very disappointed in this episode and think back to how many times both us and extended family have been there and how Eleven of us went Boxing Day both this year and before Covid on Boxing Day and enjoyed it very much. Family have told me if we go in the future, to book on line because then the booking is confirmed in an e mail, so advice to all, book on line to get a confirmation of booking.

I went into the mulberry on Sunday 31st and the food was wonderful and the cake was HUGE! Me and my lover loved it there so much for a first time experience, we would definitely make this a regular thing! The service was impeccable, the lovely, polite young lady (I believe her name was Georgina) was so incredible with helping us.Wish I had cash to tip her for a great service! The atmosphere was so beautiful and such a homely place! Would recommend to all of my family and friends. 10/10 just amazing!

We have had the best times everytime we've been, just amazing. Had another great meal here for my daughter's birthday yesterday evening and once again it was very very nice and staff all great and we took our own cake and candles and they sorted it out for us and brought it out after our meal and also brought a knife and plates so my daughter could cut her cake there and was able to eat it there, just an amazing place. I hadn't visited before and from reading the reviews prior to my visit, i had expected a little more at first impressions, the interior could do with a refurb as it looked dated and worn. I was also a little suprised that there wasnt any sanitizer; especially since i had a cavery and the spoon handles to the veg/potatoes were touched by everyone. On a postive note however; The food was delicious, beef was some of the best i've had at any carvery EVER, had the food have come out presented elligantly id have had no quarms paying £20 or even £30 for this plate of food. I left feeling very satisfied.

My friend and I went this evening as we were both hungry and have eaten here before VERY DISAPPOINTED There was no one on the front of house to show us to a table and we had waited a few mins before deciding to find our own. Table was clean. Indoor sanitising gel dispensers were empty. We odered two carveries and some drinks The food wasn't great. Sogging, tepid vegetables and thin, sparkly cut meat which they weighed out. I didn't see any temperature checks on the meat or vegetables or sauces whilst on the service area. The staff were nice and check back was done. My friend said his spouts where like "jawbreakers" and very hard to cut into and i agreed. We ordered the Apple pie for dessert and that was just enough for two. Custard was LUSH as always as was the tart.

I had roast beef carvery, Jimmy had hunters chicken (a favourite for us both) All food was delicious, hot and tasted fresh. We were both eating within 15 minutes of ordering. I've had meals here before and they've been as standard. Nothing WOW. But my last visit I ordered lasagna which came with a side of chips & instead got chips with a side of lasagna. The portion was considerably small & I'm not one to complain. But felt awful leaving nearly a whole plate of chips go to waste! They were busy so I expected some delays. The four of us all had some food left over. Its a convenient place to eat & drink if you want somewhere cheap. They are best for the carvery though.

Just had dinner at the mulberry tree On this occasion I had a carvery very good although a bit stingy with meat and had to ask for another slice Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired menus on the table all stained not very nice tables sticky need cleaning properly we asked a member of staff about a take away desert and she knew less than us didn’t even offer to find a member of staff who could advise us I know the hospitality trade is suffering at the minute but if you are going to take staff on please train them so they no what they are doing and not just there to clear tables I did speak to a lady who said she was there every Sunday and said that they where new well if they are new supervise them there was no sign of any management anywhere The gentleman’s toilet was very poor standard could do with a good clean and maybe some air freshener as it had a very unpleasant smell of urine when you entered Come on mulberry tree you are letting yourselves down pull your fingers out !!!!

I came here to eat out with partner on 15th August. We arrived and was told wait for food was 40mins however it came out in 20mins. So that was positive. However the negatives are we sat down at table outside, downloaded the app to order as asked to do, placed order, drinks arrived and server was a pleasant girl can't fault her. When food was brought out the guy came across as bit rude, bit abrupt with giving directions to get the cutlery. The food was lovely. However a table opposite us had dirty plates on it when we arrived and noone came to clear the table, customers wanted to sit there so moved plates to another dirty table even went and got cleaning spray to wash it. The plates remained on the dirty table the whole time we was there which was an hour and half. The lack of cleaning let's the place down. It was first visit there so wasn't fully impressed with the place. Noone checked if meal was OK as we have done at other places..another table of four ordered Stella but was brought out in different glasses, the refused the drinks as said was flat, server said cos wasn't in Stella glasses, he took drinks back inside but left the dirty Stella glasses outside. Maybe need to have designated table clearer so 1 person not trying to do too much as I think that was the problem.

Amazing food, amazing staff. Great family restaurant. The atmosphere is always brill, especially on quiz night. Nothing is ever too much for the team, who are willing to help at a drop of a hat. They now do takeaway as well, during lockdown and the food is as great as ever. Can’t wait to come back to dine in!

Went last Wednesday! The waitress was lovely! Couldn’t do enough for us. The carrot cake and chocolate Orange cake was lush... I had the carvery which I hear so much about and was looking forward to, the meat and veg was spot on but the Yorkshire pudding was rock hard, usually it goes soggy in my gravy but still remained hard so didn’t finish it.. and the roast potatoes were the same, didn’t really taste fresh sadly.. these are my fave items so sadly put me off having that option again! The rest was lovely though!

Good homely food and very reasonably priced. £7.95 for a large carvery, and large is exactly that. Certainly won't be leaving hungry. Desserts looked amazing but I just couldn't fit them in, even with my storage dessert stomach! Only gripe is if your table is near the carvery, go in at shirt as it can be really warm!

We had a lovely experience here for a carvery yesterday. Food was delicious, staff safely distanced etc... Great selection of cakes. I accidentally dropped my card and two staff members made an effort to find me and return the card. A young man with blonde hair and young female with brown hair, on shift at midday (Saturday 25th Sep). We didn't have cash on us for a tip, which I felt very guilty about as they went above and beyond. We would definitely return here.

I found it really hard to book. The internet booking was slow and when I rang I was only able to speak to someone 1 out of 6 calls. Cake was very good. We all had carvery and it wasn't piping hot but good selection and meat was good (not too fatty). I do think a lot of the problems are related to the covid-19 situation and would go again as staff were very good and helpful and overall we had an enjoyable meal.

We turned up at 12pm on a Sunday, 4 Adults and 5 Children, they seated us within seconds right next to the kids area which was a huge bonus for us. I normally don't go for places like this when it comes to food. Today was different and to be honest, I was pleasantly surprised. The queue for ordering was a bit long but once everyone in front had taken their drinks, paid and moved off I was greeted by Chris. 3 food orders and drinks sorted. Back to the table for a wait. The food came and even the kid gave up as she got too full. Too full! Me too and the wife. Nothing bad about the food experience. Table was clean, carpets not too sticky. Seats, well worn. Tex Mex burger, big farm burger thing and a double cheeseburger kids meal. Decent.

Really enjoy their food especially roast dinner - there's good portions of everything including nice range of veg. Beef, turkey and gammon are great, with stuffing, Yorkshires and gravy. We meet regularly, the food is always good, the staff are pleasant and keep the place clean. The cakes are definitely something you should try, whether that's in the pub or as there Cake-away service, the portions are or a scale where one slice could easily feed a family of four if cut into smaller portions. Certainly an indulgence but one I'm looking forward to the pub re-opening for after the COVID-19 lock-down period ends. It can get a bit busy at times but I've not experienced an excessive wait before. The only thing I can say on the negative side is that the giant Yorkshire puddings are not as nice as the ones we make at home. (I've found very few Yorkies that are though)

In summary: if they can get over the teething problems, make the improvements necessary, and keep up the quality/portions, they should do well. Worth giving it a few months to see.

So normally I would have given 5 as we have been many times and found the food service and staff excellent, tonight was to say the least very disappointing, a party of four we ordered drinks and carvery on the app as requested, the drinks came no problem, 15 minutes or so went by so I asked the duty waiter about the carvery tickets and was told as soon as they were printed he would bring them. After a further half hour or so I went to the till and asked only to be apologised to and handed the tickets, looking at the time printed it appears they had been printed pretty much as soon as I paid on the app. To be fair to the staff they did come and apologise a second time. The most aggravating part being the restaurant wasn't busy. We have booked for next Saturday with friends that have never been, I hope it is not embarrassing as in the past we have spoken highly of the Mulberry Tree Farm and persuaded them to come with us

Standard Carvery really, nothing stands out more than any other Carvery tbh. Car parking is a nightmare firstly as I was just getting out I had people asking me if I was leaving? Stupidly busy. Food was actualy decent to be fair, nice big joints of meat cut infront of you help yourself to all the veg and gravy. They only give you one thin slice of meat but you can have all 3 if you wish it was gammon turkey beef up. 3 different types of gravy loads of variety veg. Only down side this was my first time here no one had asked me that so I didn’t know what on earth I was doing where I was going. Didn’t know I needed a receipt to take for my meat, customer service was poor. It was overly busy yet only 1 person on the till taking orders.

Always full in here but carvery and full menu is good. We are big meat eaters so two very thin slices of meat on carvery is not enough for us. For me the huge cake slices are too much but u can take them away with u if u cant finish it.

Took some Individuals with learning disabilities today for lunch, we all loved the meal, so much choice for such good value £6.49 for a standard plate in the week, you get a choice of 3 meats, you can have a bit of each if you want, boiled, roast or boiled potatoes, 5 to 6 choices of vegetables and then gravy and sauces, not forgetting the stuffing or yorkshire pudding. The cakes look so yummy, but we were stuffed after lunch, On duty manager Mark was very helpful, pleasant and polite to all in our group, well done, we will be back.

Disappointed that after my son's first two choices of meal were not available because they had run out of Lasagne and burgers they were unable to accommodate a change to his third choice. He doesn't like chips and asked them to swap them for garlic bread but they said this was not possible. So he had: no chips, no peas, no salad but we were charged full price for the meal and then full price for the garlic bread. We thought this was really mean considering as we said - he couldn't have his first two choices. Such a shame as everything else was fine.

Visited with group of friends. The place reminded me of the hungry horse chain with multi coloured carpets and sticky menus. Had to queue for a drink and then to order food. We considered having the carvery but most dishes seemed nearly empty or the food inside appeared dried up and we only saw gammon and beef for meats. I shared a starter platter with a friend and was pleasantly surprised to find the food to be hot and very tasty. We were full so didnt need to order anything more to eat. Might go back if passing for the same food but would not go to have a meal. Probably ok for families on a budget as there are facilities for children.

Lovely family pub, clean and spacious with very good food and famous for large desserts. Two re-occurring problems though- visiting on a sunday, they always seem to be short-staffed, only one person to take orders, no one available to clean tables and always a longer wait for food. The other issue we'v had twice now, is although advertised until half 8, the carvery always runs out around 7/7.30pm... really annoying as that's often why we go. Just wish they'd cook more of the food like the restaurant next door! Also wi-fi is very hit and miss.

Great place, very big with a children play area, say to find and plenty of parking. Went on a Sunday was quite busy was told there would be a 45 minute wait for a table which we didn't mind. Took a buzzer and went to the bar to order some wine and our table was ready in about 15 minutes. Lots of options if you don't want a carvery. However we wanted carvery, I liked the fact there was a small.palge option at £5.50. It was very chaotic at the bar and service was slow, paid £14.99 for a bottle of Marlborough white wine which is reasonable. You order food at the bar and then take your ticket to the carvery. Lots of choice of meats, could have pork, gammon, Turkey or beef However, with the small plate you could only choose two out of the four options. Lots of trimming including Yorkshire, mash, roast potatoes, spicy potatoes, red cabbage, carrots, green beans, parsnips and two different gravy options. They also have a salad bar which I probably would have used if I wasn't getting the carvery. However, with it being a Sunday it look a little dried up and needed replenishing. Lots of dessert options including a range of ice cream and massive cake portions. We chose to have a single scoop ice cream in a tub for £1.89 (10p extra if you want it in a cone) and you also got a free topping so we chose aero bubbles as one of us had Belgian chocolate and the other had mint choc chip. I would definitely return.

Well what can I say ! Last time I went out for Sunday lunch we went to "The Farmers in Yaxley... wasn't impressed at all... but to be fair I'm not a big fan of carvery' s, BUT.... Can't wait to go back to the Mulberry Tree Farm.. Food was great and do was the service.. the puddings oh my word, they are huge, the puddings are big enough for two to share.. only thing that was overpriced were the soft drinks, £2.70 for a pint of coke is a bit much..BUT all in all a great place for the whole family and we'll worth a visit.. thumbs up from me.. if I'm a fan it must be good...

The food at the mulberry tree is quite good. I have had a farm burger and it was very well cooked along with the chips and onion rings. The carvery is also good if you want a lot of food stack your plate high with as much as you can eat. It's very tasty ! The restaurant is extremely well priced for what you get. If you're complaining about the price there is something wrong . There is a wide selection of deserts aswell as an ice cream bar. Speaking of bar there are a wide selection of drinks. On and off tap. Aswell as slushies for the kids.

Great place and it's like a mixture of Toby's and Harvester. You can have the Carvery or you can order from the menu for people like me for example. :) One big complaint is that they removed the salad few times and this is not good for people who have restricted diets and can't eat a lot of vegetables that have oil on them. For some people the salad was their main food and it was disappointing to see that go. They said that the fridge was broken. I hope that they will fix this problem.

This is the first time I have experienced Mulberry Tree Farm in Hampton Peterborough, and have to say Outstanding to the atmosphere, to the large menu of delicious meals and buffet of hot veg... Let's not forget the "out of this world" desserts and that is equally large servings as the main courses.. For a £10.00 main and £5.00 dessert, you will be not only delighted but completely satisfied. . My view is far beyond 10 out of 10 for this restaurant /pub..

Visited the mulberry tree Farm this evening 7 people and a birthday celebration. We all ordered from the menu not the carvery the food was not hot when brought to the table only just warm there is no waiter service for drinks and I had to look for a member of staff to clear the table of dirty plates so we could have the birthday cake though she did say that they were short staffed I'm undecided if I would go back. Noticed cobwebs around the top of the curtains as we sat next to the window.

2nd November i ordered a Elton mess and it arrived after all my guests had finished their ice creams. There was no meringue in it and they put frozen stewberries in the bottom that where still frozen when i ate it. When i gave it back to the lady behind the bar and complaind she just said "sorry love" ! Its a cheek to pay for bad service and no mention off i will get you another scoop...
