Went for partners work as meal. It was ok. We sat upstairs so more private than the bar area downstairs. The food was ok. Unfortunately the roast potatoes were undercooked, but it's good they had a vegetarian option on the menu. Food was pre ordered due to there being over 20 people. The music was nice (they had a live singer downstairs) and the staff were really professional. Just the food was a bit dissappointing in my opinion but not terrible. I'd like to go back when it's not a pre ordered set xmas menu to get a more authentic restaurant experience. Great location next to lots of other bars and restaurants and we managed to park right outside, however parking is a little limited around there we just got lucky.

We had such a lovely time here last night. The service was exceptional. It was only one guy serving food and drinks but he was so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and very good value. We hadn't booked we just walked in. There were 5 of us and the waiter rearranged tables and chairs to make us comfortable. All in all a very good evening. Thank you The Blues. We will be back xx

Superb atmosphere with well laid out tables, friendly and kind staff and an expansive menu with a range of different options and choices. Wide section of drinks from lager and ale to shorts and mixers. Great display of wine selection too. The tables get tidied away after a certain time on some evenings to make space for entertainment; which one can assume is blues orientated. Would very happily return in the future.

Incredible food. Great portion size. The King Ribs had plenty of meat on it served with tasty chips and salad. Remarkable meal. Will definitely be coming back for more. Me and my family were completely blown away by the taste, the portions, the setting, the interior decor and the service. Blown away.

Great food, attentive staff- beyond reasonable prices. We had a big group (one household) and they as accommodated us even during a pandemic. Beats five guy burgers by a mile and best them price wise- the other dishes blew me away as well!

Love the place in the summer as you can sit outside, I've got a couple of mates who I have enjoyed drunken times with here. The winter time is still great as they have live music and a cook lovely food. Staff are alway good!

Spent ages looking for this little Italian place but ended up giving up. Walked past the ‘Blues Bar & Grill’ thought we’d give it a try and I’m so grateful we did. The waitress was fast and very friendly, and not even a slight exaggeration but we both agreed the food was probably the greatest food we have ever eaten. Steak was cooked to perfection, literally melts in my mouth as I bite into it and the chicken was so moist. Great prices and an amazing atmosphere. Looking forward to returning.

Very good service, one of the best bars in the area tables and bar constantly being cleaned music on all day but just at the right volume. You want the same table tomorrow theres no problem the staff will try to reserve it for you I had the same every day I was there visiting my brother and his wife and friends .The lady who seemed to be in charge wasn't against helping with the serving.

Favourite place in Plymouth, obviously much better during pre Covid times with live music, but lovely outdoor seating always in the sun. Awesome place to have one of my faves: Gin and Ginger. You will be able to choose from several gins. The staff will happily help you out with recommendations if you are unfamiliar. Great staff, friendly and helpful. Delicious food.

Nice little bar on the barbican. Food is nice and staff are pleasant. Live music is always good. Drinks are expensive is you're ordering coke or other soft drinks. Overall I'd recommend this over a number of other eating places for day time food etc.

Great place to have a daytime meal with family or friends. Very accommodating, friendly staff, food was lovely. No children's menu, but smaller versions of menu items served for children. Relaxing atmosphere, good background music. Perhaps a little pricey, but thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

The food was great, I had the fish special (swordfish when I was there) followed by the white chocolate paradise sundae, and my mother had the steak and a liqueur coffee, sharing a bottle of house white. The service was attentive, but they allowed us the space to enjoy our meals without feeling rushed. Next time we are in Plymouth, we will definitely be going back.

Great pub, in the Barbican area, if you want to listen to regular live music. I visit here on my annual trip to Plymouth. The food is good, I've eaten here a couple of times. But how I wish they had some decent beer, basically it's lager in the worst English style or Guinness.

Just awesome venue for live music. Amazing atmosphere any and every night of the week, I recommend local regular musician Vince Lee. Some of the staff and management aren’t majorly friendly, and don’t seem to have the nicest time whilst serving, and the beer and wine selection could do with being revamped and broadened but great for spirits, especially gin. Lots of food options and great value daily specials.

We love this place and their Groupon deals. Doesn't get a 5 star only because they used to do homemade veggie burgers and now you get 2 quorn breaded burgers which are nice but I liked the homemade ones. Staff are great, dog friendly

The Blues Bar always seems to have a great atmosphere, especially at night with live music playing. It can get quite busy, but that is to be expected in such a popular location. A decent place to start a night out.

In good weather al fresco dining is an enjoyable experience. Good views of Sutton Harbour and the Barbican. No complaints about food or service. Both were very good. Well worth a return visit.
