J. C.We had a lovely evening meal at The New Inn, on Tues the 19th of August. Although it wasn't busy, the pub had a lovely atmosphere and we were made very welcome. The desserts were amazing! Thank you.
J. H.We have been twice in last 2 weeks and have had amazing food and great service on both occasions.
We are looking forward to trying the Sunday Roast in November which we have booked.
Definitely recommend - owners are very friendly.
K. H.Very friendly pub, very tasty food, very dog friendly. We were a party of seven adults with two dogs and we loved it here, shame we only found it at the end of our holiday! We were wondering which cider to order when four glasses of the drinks we were talking about were brought to our table to try. They were happy to alter a couple of dishes to our requirements, and the chef then made another helpful suggestion we were happy to accept. Totally recommend this place, you won't be disappointed. :-)

T. B.Whilst staying in the area we wanted a nice family meal, having found The New Inn to be close by to where we were staying we booked a table. It's a bit off the beaten track but 100% worth the trip. A quaint, homely, welcoming pub with a traditional British pub feel. The food was to die for, incredible quality and a place I would happily return to again and again... As food lovers i can't recommend this place highly enough.
k. w.Enjoyed a home made steak and ale pie and others had the curried vegetable pies. Friendly hostess offered extra gravy. Tried Bob's cider as recommended by one of the locals. Well worth a visit and dog friendly.

C. T.Nice meal last Thursday at The New Inn. We were made very welcome and enjoyed the fish and chips, dessert and drinks. The staff gave a birthday cake to another guest which made her evening, which was a nice touch. The church bell ringers also dropped in for a pint after their practice. Great to be able to pop by and support a proper community pub, really recommend The New Inn.

A.Fantastic evening meal! Nad was so welcoming upon our arrival despite us being late. Service was brilliant and the food was excellent, especially the pie and chips! Very intimate and friendly pub. Parking was easy too.
J. R.Lovely place. Amazing hosts. Called to book as a last minute meal for our family of 4. Food took a while as they were busy (but still fitted us in) which is understandable. They made it just a lovely place to be. So welcoming.
J. W.Our first visit to the New Inn since before lockdown. Absolutely lovely, laid back atmosphere, friendly and really efficient service. We wanted a slow drink and a meal to follow. Unlike many places there was no sense of being hassled to order by a deadline. We had a chicken burger and a beef burger - both were the best we could remember tasting, quality ingredients, superbly cooked. Brandy coffee afterwards was great, a really nice touch was being given a little jug of extra coffee to adjust to taste! A great evening all round.

B.Quintessential village pub, great local beers, we had an evening meal, ribeye steak was excellent and cooked to perfection, local sausages and a burger were also a hit with the family, hosts were friendly and attentive, be ready to dine at a leisurely pace....but why the rush just enjoy a classic Devon pub.

J. H.Had Sunday lunch here with the family. The food was delicious. We had rare roast beef with Yorkshire pudding and mixed vegetables. Service was very good. The only downside were the toilets. Not very clean and quite smelly. Fix this and 5 🌟 would be given.
C. D.This place is amazing! The food is to die for! Resteraunt style, beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. I had the most amazing sea trout fillet, and he the lamb, we were both so surprised at the quality of the meal presented. Absolutely gorgeous! We were in Devon on holiday, and I can't wait to go back there again! The desserts were gorgeous, they have an amazing gin bar, and cider bar. Just a fantastic jewel of a pub, unassuming from outside, the food was gorgeous and staff so friendly. Can't recommend it enough. Best meal I've ever had, even beats The Chard restaurant, which was good, but expensive, but this place is such good value, worth every penny! (making my mouth water at the thought)

I have to say this was absolutely the best meal I have had for years!
Food was beautifully presented and tastes fantastic.
As a vegetarian I find that many places only offer bland and 'safe' foods for me but the New Inns menu had plenty for me to choose from all of which was full of fantastic flavour combinations.
We usually only have a main but ended up having a full three courses each and a hot chocolate as everything was so delicious.
The staff were really friendly (we were greeted with a hello and a smile as soon as we walked in) and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout he meal.
We never felt rushed at all and everything came out at a steady pace.
The pub itself is very well presented and clean with lovely paintings (some of which can be bought) dotted around.
Really can't speak highly enough of the New Inn.
We had a wonderful evening and left with full bellies!

R. D.Roborough is a remote village and the New Inn is at its centre. Home made cider and beers and a great selection of Gin. Menu is great. Be careful of mud on the road at the bottom of the hill.

M. P.The New Inn is situated in a small, rather difficult to reach village. However, the athmospere, friendliness and quality of the food more than justifies the effort. The New Inn, which is actually quite old, has everything you expect from an English inn.
