Normal have enjoyable breakfast however on this occasion not so good. Ordered at 10am no meal until 10.45am, I had to ask where was our breakfast, they did apologise lost our order? Also did not have eggs Benedict or even American pancakes, no excuse for that.

Great place for food and drinks. Cheap enough not to break the bank so I can come here often without feeling the pinch. I don’t use the app so always order at the bar. They are understaffed but so are many hospitality places these days. Never had an issue with any of the staff, always polite and do their best (speak to people how you would like to be spoken to) Bottomless hot drinks, value for money food, free internet and a warm safe place is a godsend at the moment. Cheaper than being at home all day. I’d definitely recommend this place. If you want a meal that doesn’t break the bank and some chill out time, then this is a great place to go. Coffee mornings are also held on a Tuesday morning 9-11 for anyone that wants to join. Free coffee/tea and a nice space to come and chat. Beat the loneliness ❤️

do love our local spoons, even the day before christmas eve when they where stacked out a group of 6 we only had to wait a few minutes for a table. only one bar staff on bar bu we just ordered on the app , food was hot tasty and pretty fast considering it was rammed. Staff always helpful and polite . good value for money. had the odd not great meal over the years here but its an exception . cheap and cheerful and does what you want from a pub

Went at a lunchtime very busy. Managed to find a table but had to wait for it to be cleared. Had a meal that was the managers special of steak and chips for £5.99. Couldn't get a burger meal for that. It was lovely. 2 steak meals, onion rings and 2 gin and tonics for £20. Friendly staff too.

Drinks are cheap as is food, drinks "festivals" (gin, rum, cider etc) also good. Staff could do with training in drinks making and sometimes the meals come out with undercooked parts (poppadoms with curries). SOME waiting staff could be more interested and trained in customer service. Always untidy and always have to clear tables yourself, tables sticky. I think there is huge potential in open air area for stone baked pizza nights, hog roasts, guest ale bars or special cocktails perhaps. Great building which with new furniture and some brightening up could be great.

Not sure a Wetherspoons should ever be called a "local" but this could be mine!! Couldn't be bothered to cook so walked 1.5 miles to the pub instead. Couple of pints and a Tikka masala curry with a naan were the order of the day!! Very tasty. You really can't beat the value and all for a tenner. All the lads in attendance were very pleasant and friendly....

Lovey little pub. Normal wetherspoons menu. But food has always been very good. Often very busy as its one of the best ones around. Like most wetherspoons the toilets are up a mountain of stairs but are clean and tidy ladies even have dressing tables to sit at and touch up your make up. A nice extra touch.

Decent Wetherspoon pub in a nice suburb town of Plymouth. It's quite local, but still comfortable and friendly enough. Well run and nice clean environment, including the tables! Food was ok, fair priced. Definitely worth a look!

Went in today to try the new menu additions. The mixed chicken basket was so nice. The chicken was tender and not dry at all. The southern fried chicken is the best coating I've ever tried in terms of a southern coating. The pint was poured perfectly by the barman. Will be back again soon.

Very busy when we were there. Not the best weatherspoons iv been to but not the worse. Had a mix grill they certainly made sure it was dead. Hopefully it was just bad chef day. The pud itself was charming clean and good price's some staff were pleasant but unfortunately our waitress was miserable. A great fan of Wetherspoons but a little disappointed today. Called in for lunch and it wasn’t too busy at the time, ordered food and after 45 mins still hadn’t landed when our Ham egg and chips landed eggs were extremely rubbery which were replaced by a very affable and pleasant senior member of staff. Hats off to her☺️😎. Let’s hope this was a one off. 😀😀

A bit of a nightmare ordering as system crashed (not staff issue so won't mark down my review for that). But when the food did come out, it was taken to the wrong table which we then refused to accept due to Covid19 (as you never know) so food had to be re-cooked therefore extending our wait. When the food did arrive it was absolutely amazing and all cooked to high quality.

Called in last minute with family for a cooked breakfast and managed quite easily finding a table for a unlimited tea and coffee and a well balanced and presented cooked breakfast. Absolutely rammed! Thought this might be a nice, relatively quiet chance for a great value 'Spoons' breakfast but it was toppers. It was so packed it spoilt the visit. To be fair though, the food was delivered really quickly. We'll probably stuck to visiting our usual Weatherspoons elsewhere.

My self and my husband had the brunch I had the vegetarian small one I had to tell them I had no egg and only one sausage instead of 2 and it was no bother the went right back and with in a couple of minutes they brought it to me and I have to say once again a lovely and HOT meals not like the Union Rooms each time just luke warm and nothing was done about due to my husband eating half of his muffin shan't be going back there again.

I have been to this wethwrspoons many times and mostly has been great. This time was a mixed bag and under what I'd expect overall. The wraps they do are your best bet, value for money wise. The jacket potato with chilli was bland and had a very small portion of chilli con carne, as well as the ale being the first on the barrel and so tasting of the cleaning fluid that isrun through the pipes. The chicken jalfrasi curry was very tasty, but the rich was overcooked and stuck together like a mat. my ale was very pleasant and fair priced. It seems sometimes they have bad days and good days but some food items you cannot go wrong on, such as the deli. Summary: I believe most of the time it is a good place to go for food and drink, they just need to get on top of the issue of consistency with the main meals, as well as drain off a pint or so, to clear the pipes when changing kegs after the lines have been flushed.

I was very disappointed with my food. I ordered what is jokingly called the large fish and chips. Apart from the fish being the size of a childs portion, I had to send the first offering back as the "fish' was just a twisted load of batter! When the second attempt arrived it was tasty but I ended up waiting more than 30 minutes overall for my meal.

The food is decent and where can you get unlimited decent coffee for 99p. The down side is that the tables always seem to be a bit sticky.

Cheap and cheerful, staff are fine, helpful. Coffee machine was not dispensing particularly hot coffee, the young bar assistant gave me a freshly warmed cup to boost the heat of the water but nothing was done to remedy the main problem. Pleasant surroundings, as for the food you get what you pay for. It's edible.

A staff member said they were short on Saturday as well but still nothing done about it. No knives and forks or serviettes to be seen so had to ask ... it's a shame as it is a popular place , the manager needs to up their game more .

Visited on a Saturday lunch time for food, the place was busy but got a table. The only issuse was the lack of staff behind the bar, 8-10 min wait to order drinks and even longer once we had decided what food we wanted. The food was as good as you should expect from a large chain business and reasonably priced (4 adults 1 child £35, mains only). Overall a pleasent experience and our 9 year old said her spaghetti bolognese was "very nice".

This is one of the better of the chains in Plymouth. Cleaner & more efficient than the union rooms in town. They have a fabulous terrace/beer garden at the back which is great in the summer. Careful if they make a mistake with your order though, the customer isn't always right here. Most of the staff are nice enough. Toilets could be cleaner, and they could clean the tables away faster as opposed to just taking empty glasses. All in all a good place to go, especially in summer.

Always have issues with this place! The last time we went my husband and mother in law has steak. My mother in law's was meant to be cooked well done and was more of a medium rare. My husband's was meant to be medium rare and was actually still raw in the middle! They did take it away and cook it for a little longer.

Love the new app that you can use for ordering to table, so much quicker! However, bar staff less pretty much ignored me last night when I tried to get their attention for me to ask for a cloth to mop up wine I had spilt on my table. In the end, a member of staff collecting plates, very nice lady, got a cloth straight away and apologised that I was ignored, and helped clean up the mess. I appreciate it was Friday and staff were busy but it would have taken seconds to just bundle some serviettes in my direction so that I could clean up the mess.

The new ordering app is pretty convenient, tho it could be improved for order cusomization Eg no mushrooms / peas / whatever you currently still need to do at the bar. Also could be a useful way to report under cooked food to be recooked or replaced. I ordered my steak well-done and it arrived rare, even after recooking a significant portion was still bloody. They had no issues replacing it, and our server made doubly sure it was right that time.

Another great Wetherspoons, you just can't beat the value for money. Bustling atmosphere, even at lunchtime, but quiet enough to get on with some work. 2hrs free parking across the road but it is a busy car park, it can be difficult to park.

It's normal for a witherspoons, cheep food and drink but slow service for ordering at the bar due to the ratio of staff to customers. As this is the only witherspoons in Plympton, its normally busy in the evenings, especially Friday and Saturday night....Years back the building used to be a Bank so the walls are still lined with metal which makes getting phone signal difficult for some people.

It's a Wetherspoons so what do you expect. It's always busy, even during the day, it's almost like it's customers in Plympton have no job's to go to. Oh wait... I found the staff rude and more interested in their own lives than actually serving anyone. The place itself is also full oh chavs. Food wise and value for money is typical Spoons fare, decent enough for what you pay. Our's just took an eternity to arrive. As always for Spoons, you feel like you have to walk a marathon to find the toilets. The pplace is pretty clean so no complaints there. Given the choice it's not somewhere I'd choose to go, so perhaps that's why my score is only a 3*.

Ok but when you sit outside up stairs you have to walk through the smoker to get another drink not ideal when you dont smoke the layout outside at the bck is all wrong smokers have to smoke down stairs not allowed to smoke up stairs outside as apparently it annoys the neighbours lol.

Heather couldn't understand what my cousin jaki ordered 2 baked potatoes with cheese and beans and a serving of coleslaw she kept on saying 3 and when jaki asked for no ice and lemon in my coke as I'm allergic to lemons she took the lemon out of the coke instead of replacing it wasn't sorted until jaki queried the bill did eventually get the money refunded I've come home and come up in a rash probably because of the lemon so have had to take piraton to stop the itchy feeling
