Had lunch here last week. It was a delightful experience. We were greeted pleasantly by staff who were happy, smiling and eager to please. The owner, also a pleasant chap, even asked us if we were warm enough. The food was plentiful, (we had a sharing platter) fresh produce, beautifully presented.

First time in. Friendly bar staff with full info on what you want to drink. A nice environment to drink, the food smelt amazing as it was taken out. As I left I went to take my glass to the bar but the staff were too quick for me. As i left I was thanked for joining them for a drink. Perfect.

Wanted somewhere to have a meal and catch-up with some friends. We were assigned a table in a very noisy bar which wasn't conducive to our requirements so we went elsewhere. However, it was very lively for a Friday night so if that's your thing, this is the place to be!

Best pub in the local area, with a wide selection of real ales that are constantly changing and a couple of wheat beers. The food platters are excellent as well. Very friendly place! Would highly recommend for a quick pint or for an evening out!

The only downside to this pub speaks volumes for how succesful it has been since opening. To use the language of estate agents - it's a cosy pub. You can be hard pushed to find a table if you're not there early in the evening, but it's worth standing. It has an excellent selection of lagers, ales, and spirits, and an excellent atmosphere. I have yet to try the food, but I have had multiple reports saying that it is top class. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Good beer, changes regularly, well kept, friendly bar staff, small outside seating area (when village centre improvement works take place then this will be even more attractive). Only down side is that it's quite small, so a couple of dozen customers makes it pretty full - that's the drawback of being a popular spot.

Visited on opening day, great to see this new addition to Penwortham's social scene. It has been thoughtfully fitted out and the owners are so enthusiastic it shouldn't fail. The selection of beers, wines and gins should satisfy all who enter. I will be attending regularly and it will now be easier for my wife to track me down.

I liked the Tap and Vine on this visit. I had a pint of Iceland beer in the Tap and Vine and it was very nice. The service was quick and efficient. I cannot fault the Tap and Vine and would recommend a visit to The Tap and Vine in Penwortham. However I will not be visiting the Tap and Vine ever again because I prefer to drink in town.

Nice New pub on liverpool road only down side are the beer and wines prices a pint of ale and a 250ml glass of wine cost over nine pounds fifty pence which is 2 pounds more than the fleece and Tom Finney.
