My husband & myself visited The Black Bull of Pewortham for a relaxing drink & were greeted by friendly staff from the onset. We registered with, Track & Trace in the doorway entrance then once inside this quaint little bar, we were asked to show we had registered with Track & Trace then shown to our socially distanced table where we were told a member of staff would be over to take our orders soon. We felt very safe, the bar was extremely clean & very warm & cosy indeed. Hand sanatiser is available on every table. The landlord/landlady were very cheerful & continually checked we had everything we needed. On using the washrooms, the landlord/landlady checked mens/ladies washrooms to makesure no-one else was in so they were socially distanced safe to use. There is a large beer garden to the rear of the bar which has a small, heated covered smoking area & a larger open area with plentiful benches, again, socially distanced. The beer garden is very colourful & inviting. The prices are very reasonable & I must say, if you get the chance, definitely worth a visit!

What a fantastic village pub great inside and outside areas lovely garden setup owners put an awful lot of work into making it the great place it is. Fabulous staff. Great real ales on tap. Relaxing. Cheers...

Lovely pub with great beer, very busy on the weekend especially. The garden out the back is a lovely haven, a real hidden gem. It's a shame children aren't allowed as we can't visit as a family.

Small but lovey warm pub. Despite the size plenty of seating. Was blown away that they had Birra Moretti on draft my favourite, friendly smiley bar maid Zoe (think that was her name) perfect for the football and lots of seating outside. More then worth a visit if you're in the area.

Great pub, friendly locals, brilliant bar staff and some nice ales. Well worth a visit.

This is what a pub should be. Excellent selection of drinks and well maintained friendly atmosphere. This is a thumb in the eye to the bland gastro pub and the pointless and personality-less theme bar. Hands down one of the greatest pubs in the country.
